《Magical Cosmic》Chapter 31: Traveling to The Town of Anarla R

“Heh… what a magnificent thing this is!” I exclaimed as a floating vehicle entered my field of view.
The vehicle in question, was a large hoverbike that was shaped like a flying motorbike without any wheels. It had a futuristic design all over the side while it also painted black with a bluish pattern. There was a plasma engine protruding behind the vehicle while some kind of an electromagnetic anti-gravity machine was below.
It's been four days since the Equipment Hall had been finished being constructed, time sure flew, just like water. There were now finally 100 robots constructed, although the miniature nuclear fusion reactor wasn’t finished yet because of the slow procurement of precious metals.
Having my eyes surveyed the surrounding, I could see the robots were busily moving around and constructing a wall equipped with various types of advanced weaponry. A few days ago, the green blobs had corroded some metal cables and therefore the building of the wall, which as a necessity for safety, could not be delayed.
As I was surveying the place with a satisfied smile, the sound of fast rhythmic footsteps came from behind me, then stopped as the voice of an elderly man was heard, "Young Lord! I had finished the task!”
I turned towards the sound and saw Brown panting hard before me, to which that once he got his breath back, he continued, "Milord! I never thought that the base of operations that teleports me and the little miss was actually a Magical Ship." Hmm? Magical Ship? What’s that?
“Well, this is the first time you’ve been out of the ship since due to assigning you a difficult task.”
“No, milord! It’s my honor to do the task and it wasn’t difficult at all since the thing called the ballpoint is a genius of an invention.” Then, Brown took out a few books and gave them to me.
The reason for these books is because I had asked him to write down all basic knowledge, common sense, and the things that he knew about this world onto paper. It’s not like that I couldn’t acquire the knowledge myself elsewhere but since there’s a chance, why not?
“Y-Yeah, it’s a good invention. You have my gratitude for your hard work.”
“I’m glad to offer my services.” Brown bowed slightly with his left hand on his chest and his right behind his back.
Out of the blue, the figure of a pure-looking little girl came out from the ship and approached me. She then harrumphed and puffed her cheeks.
“What happened, Lillie? You seem to be in a bad mood.” Inquired me after somewhat a bit suspicious.

“Hmph!” She folded her arms on her chest and looked away, dissatisfied for some reason. Did I somehow offend her? Ah… I forgot to give it to her…
In response, I took out a small pouch from my dimensional storage before grabbing something within. Then, a small colorful crystalline candy, wrapped in plastic, came out from the pouch. I approached the annoyed Lillie and gave it to her.
"Here! Sorry, it's late; I've been busy for the past few days."
Seeing the colorful candy, Lillie, which had been furtively peeking, immediately snatched the candy from my hand, and exclaimed, “What’s this colorful stone? So pretty….”
"It's candy, a crystal candy or some sort." Good thing that I had bought some at the Blue Moon Station.
“Candy? Hamp! Hmmmmm!!! it’s melting the moment it touches Lillie’s tongue!” As if consuming a mind-blowing pleasurable drug, Lillie’s eyes closed as her cheeks blushed with pleasure.
Well, as expected for people that have never tasted candy before. Moreover, this wasn't a normal sweetened candy made millennia ago, but a refined one.
After enjoying the candy, Lillie approached me and said with reddened cheeks, “Lillie forgive Victor then.”
Nodding in acceptance, I turned to Brown and asked, “Brown, what’s the closest town to this place?”
“If my assumption is correct, it should be the town of Anarla, located to the east 100km away, milord!” The town of Anarla? I remember seeing that on the 3D map that ATHENA showed me before.
“Is that so? I’ll be going there shortly to do some inspecting so—” Just then, Lillie interrupted, “Bring Lillie with you!”
“No, little miss! That would be dangerous; it’s better to stay he—” Brown tried to explain, but Lillie was insistent, “I want to go with Victor and sightsee the town!” She then gazed at me with puppy eyes.
Ah… Since when did she become so spoiled?
“Sigh… fine, but you need to wear this.” My hand reached into and took out a contact lens case from my dimensional storage before handing it to her after opening it. The lenses had been prepared beforehand for this kind of situation. I also had prepared a few other items for covering up her identity.
“What’s these circular transparent objects? Their pink color is beautiful.” Lillie said as she was examining and handling the lenses.
Thereafter, I showed her how to use the lenses by teaching her how to apply them to her eyes. To my surprise, she learned fast and inserted them on her first try. What a genius! Anyway, she won't be taking them out soon, as they could stay in for years without having any side effects.

Her initial black and white pupils changed into a crystal-pink color. Although the blend of her heterochromia eyes before gave an impression of bewitching, the pink color enhanced her purity and elegance.
Brown couldn't help but exclaim upon seeing such a change, “As expected of milord, having such an incredible Magic Tool.”
Lillie stared at me and inquired, “Victor, how does it look?”
“Yeah, it’s cute. You look just like an angel, Lillie.” I blurted, without thinking much further.
“Eh…” She blushed. “What is an angel?” Hmm? Did she just say it in English? So, there isn’t the word angel in common language, huh?
“Ahem! Milord…. I think it’s enough.” Brown which seemed to be holding himself back from the side, butted into the conversation with a dark look on his face.
“Ah-uh… I’ll be going then.” I walked towards the hoverbike and mounted it, but not before taking some robots to my dimensional storage. I then looked around me and said, “Lillie… Wait, how come you’re already behind me?”
“Hehehe… it’s a secret.” She laughed childishly.
Shaking my head for her playfulness, I turned the engine on and the hoverbike rose up to float 2 meters off the ground. The sound of hoverbike’s engine emerged from below with a hearty roar.
“Milord, is it a good idea to go to the town alone? Furthermore, I have never seen a Magic Vehicle like this before.” Brown’s eyes widen after gazing at the floating hoverbike.
“Hmm… rest assured, I'll be back by the afternoon. In the meantime, you can supervise and watch over the place.”
"Yes, I will endeavor to meet your expectations!" Brown bowed before taking a step back.
It didn’t scare me that he’d betray me or anything, as ATA was overseeing the base. This will also be a good test of Brown’s loyalty.
“Good.” After saying that, I checked the system holo-screen to check for any anomalies. Afterward, I turned to Lillie and said, ”Now Lillie, hold on tight!”
“Like this?” Immediately, I felt a tight grip around my stomach.
“More loosely… Ah, whatever!” The hoverbike then roared as it ascended into the air.
“ATHENA, show me Anarla’s exact location!”
Subsequently, an emoticon of a cheerful face suddenly appeared on the smart helmet visual display and ATHENA responded, [“Here it is, Master~ Wish you a safe trip!”]
The A.I. enhancement does indeed give a boost to ATHENA's interactiveness. Previously it never showed an additional speaking line together with an emoticon face. It's not that it cannot, but last I remember… it was disabled.
As the hoverbike began to move forward at an insane speed, the scenery surrounding me started to move faster and the wind blew into my face. Thanks to my helmet though, it kept me able to see and my face warm.
Due to harder wind pressure, I activated hoverbike’s shield which made the air friction become non-existent. Lillie was gazing at the scenery below and I could feel her hands clenched around my suit.
“Are you scared of heights? You don’t need to worry; I’ll save you if you were to fall.”
"No… Lillie isn't scared." She shook her head, but the lie could not be hidden due to the shaking of her shoulders. But over time, I could see her fear lessened and she began showing amazement at the passing scenery.
Since the shield made the air friction non-existence, the hoverbike was moving at the speed that rivaled a jet-based aircraft. The anti-gravity also made the bike float smoothly without any disturbance whatsoever.
“Wow! The trees below are so small and they’re moving so fast.” Lillie exclaimed in astonishment from behind my back.
As time passed, I could see a river in the distance. It was the east branch of the river Brightmoon. I also noticed that there were other grasslands across it.
Hmm? Is that a farm field?
After going for about a few minutes to the east, farm fields were finally visible from above. Although the size wasn't that noteworthy to speak off, it gave the feeling of a fantasy-type world.
I wonder what it feels like to stroll through the pathway between farm fields? It definitely would give a feeling of satisfaction.
[“Master! Should I activate the invisible mode? If we were to fly visible so openly, it might attract unwanted attention.”]
“Hah? Oh, yeah! That’s what I was gonna do anyway.”
Not long after, I could finally see two big hills in the distance. There was a small town located in the middle of the two hills. It had a 5 meters tall, tightly guarded wall, with lines of people that were trying to get into the town.
Guess, I'll descend in the woods near the town to not attract attention.
Subsequently, the hoverbike descended not too far away from the town before we dismounted and it was stored in my dimensional storage.

This story is a neo-noir dark LITRPG in a world similar to earth. Take the tags seriously. I've been working on this project for 6 months and my MC is a bit unconventional, so I'm excited to introduce you all to him. Beware, it will be a slow-burn, so please be patient. The main plot will start to kick up at around chapter 15. I will be writing about racists, rapists, cultists and horrible humans. I do not condone or excuse their behavior or choice of words but the first arc will be in a prison and (some) prisoners don't mince their words. My MC doesn't adapt to the new world immediately because that is not realistic at all. It takes time and because of his personality, it will take more than a system to convince him to do someone else's bidding ;) Each chapter will have around 3000+ (give or take) words. I will be updating 2-3 times a week (depending on how busy I am with work and/or college) when I'm done publishing my backlog (Which is very big, 40,000+ words). **Each comment gets rep! Cover art by @tahraart on Instagram. Link to discord: https://youtu.be/91wX0NRjJqg Have a good one, Pistol. **** THE STORY IS ON TEMPORARY HIATUS. WE WILL BE BACK IN 2 MONTHS. SORRY EVERYONE.
