Okay, so apparently the live update system works pretty well. I just read back over the last entry—you know, the one where I saved an entire island full of people?—and aside from a few weird things it seems okay, right? I know I got kind of odd after I started copying the Perception Clarity power and it was weird that the narrating part of my brain didn't recognise Mum and Dad, or at least didn't refer to them like that—'silhouette shaped like a woman', what?—and there was some bonkers stuff whenever I teleported, but overall I'd rate it a decent success, apart from being, well, pretty creepy actually.
Maybe I should fill in some stuff. Daniel managed to contact Mum and Dad, apparently they were visiting Dr Tsezch in Free Paradise, he lives in Harbour City on the coast, apparently it's gorgeous, I've always wanted to visit, we don't even have a simulation of it in the Training Room—anyway, once they got Daniel's message they zoomed over to Arrow Island as quickly as they could in Mum's spaceship (which really should have a name, don't you think?), and as soon as they got near they picked up my Opal's signal. The rest you can probably figure out, I blacked out after they 'saved' me, they got me into the ship and brought me back here—apparently I wasn't phased-out enough when the bullets went through me and they did some damage, Dr Tsezch said it's comparable to that of invasive surgery. I've felt terrible the last few days, no energy and just tired all the time and not wanting to do anything.
The good news is that I managed to save the island from Segregation. The psychic burst never happened. Dr Tsezch said that it would have killed at least ten percent of the people on the island, and the remaining ninety percent would have suffered severe brain damage. Know how many people live on that island? Oh, just eight thousand nine hundred and twenty-three. Just eight thousand nine hundred and twenty-three people who owe me their brains, thank you very much Charlotte, you did a great job Charlotte, congratulations on saving the brains of eight thousand nine hundred and twenty-three people Charlotte—

Except, of course, not. You guessed it, Mum and Dad were NOT happy with me. And, yep, you guessed it again, I'm grounded. Or whatever the equivalent of 'grounding' is when you live in a secret volcano moonbase, 'mooned' or 'based' or whatever. Not that I can do much anyway, I'm still recovering from getting kind-of shot.
More bad news is that the first part of Segregation had already happened before I got there; the 'advanced self-improvement' people were gone. The worst thing, though, is that every single one of the supervillains escaped. Jailer sent out one of his VBs but it was attacked while on its way back to his floating prison, by a bunch of weird bio-mech ornithopters. Gross, I know. Anyway, Jailer sent a couple of drones after them but they went into the Dead Mountains and the radiation around there is unbelievable. So, we lost them. All of them.
Oh, the brain the supervillains were using was a giant mutated koala's brain, apparently. Dr Tsezch took it.
"By stunning coincidence," he said, "I happen to have a giant mutated koala sitting around, it would not be precise to say that he is 'in need' of a brain but, well, we could all use a little upgrade from time to time, would you not agree?"
Dr Tsezch is kind of creepy.
He's also unbelievably clever, before he left Mum and Dad got him to put a lock on the teleporter that even Daniel can't break. Now we can't use it without their permission. I know, it sucks, but we can't do anything about it. Daniel's kind of a genius but Dr Tsezch is kind of a super-genius. Super-genius wins.
They're gone again now—Mum and Dad I mean—away to Nowhere Zone to do some more 'investigations'. The only good thing is that they'll be bringing C2 back with them, that's in just five days, I can't wait! Lying around in bed all day is unbelievably boring, but I bet having C2 here would make even that fun! My room's really big so we've put in a bed for her, we can stay up watching movies and talking and eating popcorn, it's gonna be SO much fun, my first sleepover! And it'll be for like three weeks! Because her school has a break now, for more than a month, so she gets to stay here for AGES, oh, I'm just SO looking forward to seeing her again, I can't even tell you.

Kind of sleepy now, maybe I'll take a nap. It's not even ten in the morning but, well, I got shot. Twice. I'm allowed to take it easy.
