《KING OF BEASTS (ON HIATUS)》E021 - Would you please hurry up?!

‘Wait… why am I running?’ Ares thought as the ground continued to rumble. So he stopped and then turned, charging ahead towards where the rumbling was coming from. A giant dark blot filled his vision soon after, and the creature then darted towards him, it’s giant maw opening.
Even now Ares couldn’t process it’s appearance, it was just a big, black blob that tried to slam into him. ‘Calm down, snake boy.’ He panted out as he dodged the large viper. His heart was already pounding wildly, from the fear and the effort of trying to dodge this giant creature.
The black body continued to writhe and shift, the beast cleared the trees with it’s massive form, the crashing sounds of the trees echoing through the air. Ares landed down beside the creature, and then hopped over the snake as it tried to sweep him with it’s tail.
When he landed down, his body grew cold. His ears twitched as he heard the rumbling from behind him, and as he turned, he was struck by a near blurry mass of black. He slammed into a set of trees, letting out a low grunt. Truly, he was glad for his new body, which didn’t crumble under the force of such abuse.
He gasped in some air before hopping once more into the air as one of the giant black vipers slammed forward towards him. He leapt over the creature as it slid underneath him, and as he was about to land onto the snake’s body he shifted the trees into his ring. His body grew cold once more and then the other viper appeared from beside him. ‘Oh fuck.’ He turned to face it as it opened it’s giant maw, and then he saw blackness.
‘Eugh.’ He tried not to breathe in the horrible stench that he could feel caress his skin. The fight had lasted a few seconds, and Ares was rather glad that no one had seen him lose so quickly.

He reached up as the tract of the creature tried to crush him, then summoned his mithril sword before poking through the skin of the creature as if the beast was made of paper. Then he clutched onto the snake’s skin, and then he pulled the creature’s skin aside and then dragged himself out of the snake as it hissed wildly.
As he pulled himself out of the snake, he looked out to see the seven oxfolk, who had charged forward. Four of them had gone feral, and the other three were seemingly supporting them.
He caught the gaze of Kask, who stared at him with their brows furrowed, causing them to pause for a moment. Ares just nodded and then hoisted himself out of the viper, which had turned to face him.
“Hello there.” Ares said as it lunged at him once more, this time it’s large man-sized fangs were poised to strike at him.
Ares rolled around the creature, grabbing at it’s scales, but quickly kicked off of it’s skin as the creature sneaked around with it’s head to try and strike at him once more. Ares then kicked off another tree as the wounded viper continued to stalk him as he jumped from tree to tree, letting it chase him.
Now that he had a few moments to take in the sight of everything, he could see just how black the creature was. Black like the void, the creature was agile and came at him like a raging torrent of death. The ground continued to shake, but Ares planted his feet into the ground.
He let out a sigh and then raised his hand. Then he shot out the various tree trunks out towards the creature as it barrelled through the logs, taking a couple into it’s body as it slammed into Ares, causing him to fly back and slam into some more trees.

As the tree fell above him, Ares shifted it into the ring and then threw a glance down to see the large fang of the viper clamp down onto his leg. It pierced through him, crushing his bone. The pain throbbed through his leg, flowing into his body slowly. His leg grew numb as Ares watched as a black liquid oozed out with his blood.
His mind was going blank, the heat of the pain within his leg slowly numbing. He grabbed his sword and then swung down at the fang, cutting it cleanly. The viper hissed and then pulled back, writhing in pain. Ares reached down and then started to pull the tooth out of his shaking leg. The pain suddenly flared through him once more, causing him to grit his teeth.
“Haaaaaaaa!” He roared out, pulling out the fang and then tossing it aside as he looked down at his leg. It was still seeping out blood, and the black liquid continued to flow out. ‘Fuck!’ He hissed out and then dragged himself up. Then he started to drop down more trees onto the writhing viper, and after the trees landed on it, then he continued to shift the trees into the ring, and then onto the viper.
He then dragged himself up towards another tree, sighing out as his leg throbbed. “Fucking hell…” He looked back over to the viper and then stood up, then he started to drag himself to the viper, clenching his thigh. Then finally he leapt forward, bringing his blade down in a rage, slicing across the viper. He pinned the creature down with the various logs, slashing at the viper with a flurry of fury.
He continued to hack at the creature until it was finally flailing weakly. Then Ares stumbled along to the nearby fighting, where he could see all seven oxfolk had gone feral, though the original four seemed to be looking rough.
Morak seemed to be struggling most, and they stumbled down trying to catch their breath. The viper turned to face him and then lunged at them. Ronfan and Koifan shoulder bumped the viper aside, managing to move it enough that it slammed beside Morak.
Morak grabbed his great axe and swung it down, slicing against the creature, though it swiped it’s tail across. Before it struck them, Ares tossed the tail over them and then rolled beside the viper, grabbing onto it. He held onto the viper, squeezing it’s thick muscles.
“Would you please hurry up?!” Ares growled out in pain as his leg continued to throb. Then he started to drag the viper along, wincing from the effort. Due to only really having one leg, he slid backward from the strength of the viper.
The oxfolk leapt onto the viper, striking it wildly with each of their weapons. Though the viper tried to squirm, Ares held onto the viper, dragging it away. The viper then snapped it’s head and bit into his side, piercing through his stomach. Then he summoned his mithril blade and then thrust into it’s skull as he dropped down onto both knees.
He panted out as he looked down at the black liquid coming from his holes. He shifted the poison into his ring and then dropped down beside the viper.
“Hey, I need a nap. Let me sleep for a bit, but don’t abandon me.” He grumbled and then he passed out.
