Well Since bluescreen isn’t gonna help me on this one, might as well go in blindly.

I blindly started walking to a part of the forest. I don’t know what to expect to find in this forest, but I gotta keep my guard up at all times.

SEVERAL HOURS LATER.

After walking for hours, it felt like I have been walking in circles. The whole forest looks the goddamn same, and it’s starting to creep me out. I have only ever seen small animals like squirrels, recoons, and that’s it.

And so far, no birds in this forest. I haven’t tried absorbing the natural energy, since I remember that in the anime, that absorbing this energy without knowing how to use it, can be fatal.

So unless if I have somebody to teach me to control natural energy, then I won’t absorb this energy at all.

Now for those who are thinking ‘what are you gonna do with natural energy.’

Well I have been thinking of using a new type of move, for the chidori. It’s a new move, and using natural energy on the new moves that I created, are very beneficial.

I will not say what new moves I have thought about the Chidori, because it's a secret.

I do wonder how this natural energy works? is it different from the one in the toad world. Maybe it’s stronger, or weaker. I dunno.

“I can't believe you actually falled for that, you loser.” (???) said.

I heard voice that sounded a lot like a boys. I turn to see who it is, and I see these two huge birds that are about the size of my leg, or maybe a little less. They looked a lot like a bigger version of the sparrow.

The both of them were uh?! Pecking their beaks on a downed bird. The downed bird looked a lot like a cockatiel. The cockatiel was white in colour, but had a lot of black markings on his body. It looked very cool, but it was getting ruined as the two bully birds were pecking on him.

“Someones coming! Hide.” (Sparrow 2) said to the other, and flew far away.

I didn’t care about wildlife animals. But the cockatiel reminded me a lot of a bird I used to own. He died shortly before I moved to this new life. Rest in peace, little buddy.

I walked up to the cockatiel, which was atleast the size of my arm, and then I examined it’s body. I don’t know much about birds, but according to my basic knowledge on them, it’s feathers looked torn, as well as a lot of blood was seen on him. It’s not good at all.

(No shit!)

“Please… help… me!” (Cockatiel) tried it’s best to say something.

I am not that surprised that it knows how to talk. Considering that most summoned animals know how to talk in Naruto.

I lightly touched it’s body, and used my healing Kekkai Genkai on him. He was soon cured, and stood up shortly.

“You healed me! Thank you.” (Cockatiel) said as he lowered it’s head, as a sign of gratitude.

“No problem. My name is Chris, what’s yours.” (Chris)

“My name is Al. What is a human like you doing here….. Wait! YOU’RE HUMAN.” (Al) said in shock, as he finally noticed that I am human.

“No, I am a dog. Of course i’m a human.” (Chris)

“No it’s just that, humans are rarely ever seen here. How did you get here.” (Al)

“It’s a long story. But I need you to tell me where the nearest bird village is.” (Chris) I didn’t come here to waste time. I need to learn how to control natural energy, and maybe get a good summoning bird.

“Uh! I know that I owe you for saving me, but you can’t enter the village.” (Al) said.

“Why not. Is it because i’m human.” (Chris)

“No it’s just that, the whole village is a mess.” (Al)

“Let me guess. War.” (Chris) Most light novels I read would always have this problem.

“No? A tournament is coming up.” (Al) said. Not knowing why I mentioned war.

A tournament for birds? That’s a new one. I expected a conflict of some kind, but not a tournament.

“I don’t see how a whole village can be in a mess, all because of a tournament.” (Chris)

“You’re new here. So you don’t know. You see, uh Chris was it.” (Al) said. He isn’t good at remembering others names.

“Yes!” (Chris)

“It’s a tournament for us birds that we participate every year. It’s where you have to fight others. The winner gets a yearly supply of delicious seeds.” (Al) said very excited, at the thought of winning that reward.

“Is it that good, for birds to fight for food.” (Chris)

“Yes! You see, this whole place doesn’t reproduce food the quickly to feed the whole village. Not even small insects are coming out anymore, because their population is so close to extinction. Meaning that our bird population is getting less and less food everyday.” (Al)

So it’s a problem with population. If I had an infinity gauntlet, then I can easily solve that problem with just the snap of my fingers.

“So that’s why the whole village is in chaos. Then what must you do to win.” (Chris)

“Well we can do two things. First is participate yourself and fight. Second, get someone to fight in your steed, and you both get the reward. Simple really.” (Al)

“Then why don’t you join.” (Chris)

“Didn’t you see those two annoying sparrows did to me! They almost killed me easily. That’s why I didn’t want to join, cause I am small and weak. Even though that reward sounds tempting, it is not worth my life.” (Al)

Smart one. Most people on earth would be blinded by greed, but this Al bird is smarter than most humans… Kinda saddens me to think about this.

“Then what were you doing out here.” (Chris)

“Because those two annoying sparrows promised me that if I followed them, they would participate the tournament in my steed. In the end, i was tricked by them.” (Al)

“That still doesn’t explain why they led you out here to hurt you.” (Chris)

Is it possible that Al has some powerful family behind him, and they led him out to get his family a ransom or something?

“They wanted to eat me.” (Al)

….. Did not see that one coming.

“What do you mean?” (Chris) I said a bit more intrigued.

“Since there is problem with our food resources, then most of us birds are now trying to eat each other.” (Al)

“Well shit! Is that why you didn’t want to lead me to the village, because they could eat me when they see me.” (Chris)

“Yes! Although I haven’t seen a human before, I can tell that you’re just a kid. So leading you to the village, would basically be leading you to a death trap.” (Al)

Hm! Although Al is small and weak, he posesses a good heart. I would actually want to be freinds with him. It’s not everyday that you meet someone who is good by nature.

“Thanks Al! But I have a question. Is eating each other illegal or something.” (Chris)

“Not at all actually. You can’t kill each other while in you’re the village, but that doesn’t imply if you’re outside of the village. It is frowned upon, but it’s the law of the jungle. The strong live, while the weak die.” (Al)

“And yet you followed those sparrows outside of the village because…” (Chris)

“I forgot that the law existed.” (Al) said embarrased.

“... Oh well. You’re safe, and that is all that matters. So take my advice, and don’t leave the village again.” (Chris)

“*Sniff* thank you.” (Al) said happily. No one has ever been this nice to him. Because he is hated for being weak and small. Well, only his family was there to support him as well.

“Can you lead me to the village, I wanna participate in this competition.” (Chris) It might be fun to fight against other species. And who knows, maybe I might learn something.

“What! I didn’t know humans liked bird seeds.” (Al) said a bit surprised.

“We don’t. I just wanna fight these other birds.” (Chris)

“Or are you going for the other prize.” (Al)

“What other prize?” (Chris)

“Sorry, I forgot to mention it. The secondary prize you win, is that you get to get taught by the Phoenix king. You can even learn how to control natural energy.” (Al)

….. I am gonna smack this bird in the head, for not telling me this sooner.

*POW!!!*

“Ow! Why did you hit me?” (Al) said confused.

“How could you forget something important like that.” (Chris) Controlling natural energy is the reason why I came here in the first place.

“I’m sorry. It’s just that I have a tendancy of forgetting things.” (Al)

“Whatever. Just lead the way to the village.” (Chris)

“Aren’t you afraid that the other birds will eat you. Cause I don’t wanna see my saviour die.” (Al)

“As long as I am in the village, they can’t attack me.” (Chris) I just hope that law about not killing each other, implies to non-bird species as well

“Oh right! I forgot that law existed.” (Al)

“Oh dear god. Just lead me the way, and I promise that if I win, i’ll give you the bird seeds as a sign of thank you.” (Chris) Why would I want bird seeds, when I can learn to control natural energy.

“*Sniff* This is definitely the nicest thing that anybody has done for me. Thank you.” (Al) said as he bowed one more time.

“But. If you forget the path to the village, then I will cut off your wings, so that other birds will find you, and then they’ll eat you.” (Chris0 I said as I sounded as scary as possible.

“Y-yes!” (Al) said very frightened.

“Lead the way. And tell me more about the stuff about this phoenix king, and this tournament as well.” (Chris)

“Yes. this way….. I think.” (Al) said as he tried to remember the path.

“Did you say something?” (Chris) I said as I cracked my knuckles.

“N-nothing.” (Al)

Al despite being scared, flew on my shoulder. He then signalled me with his wing which direction to go.

I wonder how the others are doing.

Luna P.O.V.

I don’t know what older brother was saying about Chris. But he didn’t sound too worried, so it means that Chris must be fine.

I do wonder where he runs off to. It’s not the first time he disappeared like this. He must be pretty far as I can’t sense him even with the tracking seal he left on me.

I can still feel Kat, and she is still at the village.

Right now I am standing in front of Hinata’s bedroom. I wanna apologize to her for misunderstanding.

“Uh Hinata. Can you come out for a second.” (Luna) I said. It’s just paper that’s covering the door, so HInata must have heard me from her room.

“Just a second.” (Hinata) said loudly from the other room.

After wating for a minute, Hinata showed up. She was covered in sweat, and had her tight training uniform on her.

“Is something wrong, Luna.” (Hinata) said. It might be late for HInata, but she just promised to herself to become stronger to protect her Sensei. So how could she sleep at a time like this,

“Sorry to have interrupted you so late, Hinata. But I just wanted to say, that I am sorry.” (Luna) I said as I bowed to her.

“For what?” (HInata) faked the she didn’t know. She just doesn’t want Luna to know that she accidentally heard their confilct, because that would be embarrasing.

“I misunderstood you. I thought that you and Chris were… uh what was that word.” (Luna)

“Dating behind your back.” (Hinata) said and blushed a bit.

“Something like that. I was mean to you, and had terrible thoughts about you. And I sincerely apologize, and hope that you will forgive me.” (Luna) said as a hint of sadness could be heard in her words.

“Please Luna. I can understand what you’re going through, and I don’t blame you.” (Hinata)

She remembers all those times when Naruto used to go after Sakura. It bothered her so much, that she also had terrible thoughts about Sakura. In the end, it turned out good as she now knows that Naruto likes her.

“Thank you, Hinata. And I hope that we could become freinds.” (Luna) said.

“Same here, Luna.” (Hinata)

“Were you practicing this late. Sorry I interrupted you, I didn’t notice you were practicing.” (Luna) said apologetically once more.

“It’s alright, Luna. I’ve been meaning to ask you, did something happen between you and Sensei.” (Hinata) couldn’t help but ask. If she could, she will help them with their problem.

“N-nothing at all… Well, we did have a small fight, but it was all a misunderstanding in my part.” (Luna)

“Luna. I know that Sensei likes you a lot, and I know that he will never do that to you. I remember that when he used to teach me and Naruto, he would always talk about you.” (HInata) said and blushed a bit.

It’s true what she said. Chris would always mention them about Luna, but they thought he was joking around, until now,

“Thank you, Hinata. Goodnight then.” (Luna)

“Goodnight… Wait!” (Hinata)

As Luna was going to her room, she stopped in her tracks when she heard HInata yell out to her.

“Hm! Something wrong, Hinata.” (Luna)

“I-I was just wondering if you could train with me tomorrow. And maybe we could go out to shop some clothes. I know that I am being selfish, but I always wanted to know how it feels like to go shopping with somebody else.” (Hinata) said as blushed really hard.

It’s not normal for Hinata to ask someone to go shopping with her. Infact, she has never shopped before. In school, Hinata was always shy, and nobody ever wanted to hang out with her. So she always wanted to shop with a friend.

And this way, maybe she could help Luna and Chris with their small problem. She knows that it isn’t none of her business, but she feels like she must help in some way.

Luna was a bit shocked to hear this. She to has never shopped with someone else, as her father would acompany her where ever she wanted to go. So she also always wanted to go shopping with a friend.

Although Kat was her friend as well, she would always disappear somewhere. That was before Chris healed her of her curse. Now she is acting more carefree than before.

“I would love that, Hinata.” (Luna) said happily.

“Then goodnight, Luna.” (Hinata) once again said goodnight to Luna.

“Hm! Goodnight.” (Luna) said as she went to her room.

HInata then closed the sliding door, and had a happy expression. She couldn’t wait to shop for the first time in her life.

Chris P.O.V.

After walking while talking with Al, I learned a few things.

There are 3 rulers of this land. The third strongest is called ‘old crow’ He is in charge on the prisons, writes the laws, and is the most skilled assasin in the whole land of birds. He even has a school under him.

The second strongest is called ‘Elgae’ He is in charge of everything in this land, and keeps the villagers in peace at all times. He is also in charge of gathering food for his village, and with the help of his students.

(For those who haven’t noticed. ‘Elgae’ is ‘eagle’ in reverse. Kinda how like Alucard backwards is spelled dracula.)

And the strongest out of all of them, is called the Phoenix king. He is charge of everything in this land, and keeps away strong intruders from his homeland. It is said that he once defeated an entire army of 20,000, in less than an hour by himself only.

Not only that, but his 4 sons and 1 daughter, are all very strong as well. And all five of them fight for the throne, but for some reason, the king doesn’t look like he is gonna be giving away the throne anytime soon.

It must be because of his huge life force he has. Phoenixes like him, can live up to atleast 3 thousand years, and he is only 1000 years old right now.

Just by hearing about these guys, they are really strong. And I wonder if this ‘old crow’ is somehow connected with Itachi.

“We’re here. Man I seriously cannot believe my luck today.” (Al) said and sighed in releive. He literally forgot where the village was, and tried to lead Chris blindly into the forest. It looks like the gods love him today, and guided him to the village.

“Is this it. Man it looks gorgeous.” (Chris)

What I see is a huge tree in center of the forest. It reminds me of that tree from the movie ‘Avatar’

Not only that, but they have awesome human structures beside them as well. Even little wooden houses could be seen.

“I know right, this land is called ‘Tori no Kuni’” (Al) said.

I just hope that this tournament doesn’t last long, as I still need to get back home to do the Chuunin exams. And find and kill that Sasori.
