In Tsubaki’s Kingdom.

Chris was learning lots about this world, thanks to Smith telling him a lot.

Then, a ringing tone was coming from Smith’s pockets. It was a text message from the Queen.

Smith read it, and his face looked surprised.

“I gotta go. I have some important matters to attend to.” Smith got up and left, but not before Chris was able to read his mind.

‘What did Lady Tsubaki find out about Fan Uchiha this time? Whatever it is, it looked like she is getting ready for something big.’ He thought.

Chris only continued to sit there, pondering on a few things.

“How can I get stronger? I lost most of my strength fighting that alien, and now I have no idea how to confront Fan Uchiha like this. I must think this through.” Chris began to plan on how to get stronger.

He cannot rely on taijutsu anymore, as he has already exceeded the strength limit for a kid his age. Chakra and Genjutsu isn’t gonna cut it out either.

“I could practice my sword techniques, but I don’t have the ability to create swords anymore. Man I am so useless!” Chris yelled in his head.

{Sup!}

For Chris, this felt like he was talking to a new bluescreen. Usually, he would act funny and without a care in the world, but now he sounded more serious.

Chris looked back, and it was Kat looking at him.

“Oh, hi, Kat. Didn’t see you there.”

“How dare you leave me alone back there. You could have dragged me wherever you were going.” She said with a pout.

“Sorry, I was a bit busy.”

“Sure you were. Come, I saw a place that might interest you.” Kat took his hand and pulled him.

“Where are you taking me?” Chris asked.

“You’ll see.”

After a while, the couple entered a tall building. Upon entering, a strong scent of sweets entered their nostrils.

This was a candy building, there was candy as far as the eye could see. It wouldn’t be exaggerating to say that Willy Wonka created this place.

“Do you know how frustrating it is to see so many sweets in one place, and yet you can’t even eat them.” Kat said with fire in her eyes, she was clearly pissed.

Chris only stood beside her, with a blank expression. He likes candy too, but he doesn’t like things that are too sweet.

“You brought me here to show me this.”

“No. I brought you here to buy me some sweets.”

“We are on a mission to find this Fan Uchiha, and all you can think of is sweets…” Chris rolled his eyes at her.

“But, I cannot rest easy knowing that there are so many sweets in this building, all waiting to be eaten by me.” Kat licked her lips at the thought of this.

“I am not going to buy you sweets. I don’t even have any money with me.” If he could, he would have created more money with his creation skill, but his powers were taken by the Mother alien.

“Aw please… they’re just sitting there, mocking me, because they know I can’t eat them.” Kat’s face got closer to the candy, but they were separated by a glass wall, or else she would have stolen some candies right now.

Kat could not ask Tsubaki or TenTen for money, as they were spending quality time together after being separated for so long. It was only fair that Kat didn’t bother them.

“How do you want me to buy you sweets, when I don’t have anything on me.”

“I don’t know. Aren’t you the reincarnator here? I am sure you can figure out something.” She said, but then got closer to his ear and whispered.

“I will give you a kiss if you give me some candy. PEUK!”

Chris pulled her cheek hard when she whispered to him that part.

“That sounds like you’re selling yourself for something else in return. That is no different from prostitution.” Chris said angrily as he kept pulling on her cheeks.

“Okay, I am sorry. Please let go, you’re tearing my face.” She cried out loud and waved her arms everywhere, like a cute character.

Chris let go of her cheek, and there was a noticeable red mark imprinted on her left cheek.

“Ow.” She cried a little bit, that was the first time Chris has ever done that.

“Sorry, Kat.” Chris gently caressed her cheek slowly. Maybe he put a little bit too much strength in his pinch.

Kat did feel a stinging sensation when Chris pinched her, but with his hand caressing her cheek, it felt warm, as if she was a lazy kitten being petted by her owner.

‘That feels nice,’ Is what she thought.

Chris read her mind and smiled. She can be pretty cute sometimes.

“Okay, I will get you some candy. Just stay here for a bit.” Chris said then disappeared from her sight using one of his skills, stealth.

Kat has never seen this skill of his, which amazed her.

“Even with his powers taken from him, he is still very powerful. Looks like I made the right choice to fall in love with him.” She said with a small blush on her cheeks.

“Is that so?” Chris said from behind.

“KYAAAA!!!! What are you doing here?” Kat jumped up in surprise when she heard Chris behind her.

“I got you some candy.” Chris showed her a small plastic pouch filled with various sweets.

“Did you hear what I said?” She asked.

“I did. And it wasn’t surprising to know that you like me.” Chris said with a smirk, but that only made Kat blush more.

“But, how did you get sweets so quickly?”

“Well, after activating stealth, I thought of stealing some candy, but then I saw that there was free samples stacked neatly in a shelf. All you needed to do was open your eyes.”

This only made Kat blush more, to think that she was so blind that she couldn’t see those free samples.

“Here you go.” He planted the plastic pouch on her hand which she accepted.

“Thank you.” She went back to her tsundere mode, and began eating those candies with a pout.

“Let’s go explore the Kingdom, we might learn something from it.” He took her hand and they started walking around the kingdom. They looked like couples who were visiting various places together.

Kat was amazed by the sight of this Kingdom, it was her first time ever exploring something like this. She only found that candy place when Tsubaki gave her directions to it, after seeing that she was still in the room with them.

Kat noticed that she could not eat her candies while holding hands with Chris. She didn’t want to let go, but she wanted to taste these candies now.

Then, a thought occurred to her. She let go of his hand and linked her arm with his. This move made them seem closer and more intimate.

Chris looked at Kat, wondering why she wanted to link arms.

“I am only doing this to eat my candies.” She said with a blush. But Chris knew better than that, eating her candies was only an excuse.

He didn’t mind and tightened their arms closer. Even with Luna, he has never done this to her.

After exploring the entire Kingdom, they believe they have seen everything they want to see. Somehow, Chris made today seem more like a date than intense training.

Kat finished her bag of candies, and wasn’t satisfied. She wanted more, as they were all so good. Most of these candies don’t even exist in Konoha, so you know just how the new and exotic candies left a deep impression in her.

She also wanted some water because of how sweet the candy was. Sugar can make anybody thirsty.

As if he read her mind, Chris offered her a bottle of water that he stored in his storage space.

“Thank you.” She drank the wafer as if there was no tomorrow.

But, she realized that she didn’t offer him a piece of her candy, which was very selfish on her part. She was never like this, but she was totally mesmerized by the deliciousness of the candy that she forgot to offer Chris anything.

After drinking half the water inside the bottle, she felt guilty.

“Here, you must be thirsty as well." She offered him half of the water bottle that she drank.

“If I say yes, it’ll be like an indirect kiss.” Chris said after a pause. He didn’t mind that Kat didn’t offer him candy, he just didn’t like very sweet things.

“I know, and I don’t mind.” Kat said with a smile. She was confident that Chris wasn’t going to take the bottle and drink from it.

“Well, if you don’t mind.” Chris took the water bottle and drank whatever was left in it, it tasted a bit sweet for some reason.

Kat only stared at him with a blank expression, then it changed into a blush. She couldn’t help but touch her lips, which was quivering.

‘Did I just lose my first kiss like that?’ Is what she thought.

Chris only smiled and thought how cute she could be. She might be a tsundere, but he didn’t dislike it.

“I may not be an expert, Kat, but this isn’t how you lose your first kiss.”

“Not an expert… this coming from the one who has two girlfriends, while I don’t even have a boyfriend.” She said.

“There is nothing wrong with not having a boyfriend at your age. We are still pretty young.”

Somehow, this made Kat very angry.

She pulled onto his ear fiercely.

“How can you say that when you are dating two people at the same time! If it were anybody else, then maybe it's fine, but not you.” She said angrily.

“Okay, I get it. But, Kat, if you want a boyfriend, you can just ask out Naruto, or even Lee.” Chris said, but his ear got pulled harder.

“Say that again, I dare you! You already know I like you, but you’re acting like you don’t care.” She said angrily and loudly again.

The people nearby were drawn by the commotion, and couldn’t help but circle them.

Then, Kat let go of his ear, and some tears escaped from her eyes.

“Do you not care about me? I have known you as much as Luna has, and yet you don’t even care for me.” She wasn’t acting, that is how she really feels.

“I do care, it’s just that there is so much going on here, with the Aliens, Konoha, TenTen, Fan Uchiha, I can’t even spend quality time with you guys anymore.”

Chris stood and up and held her shoulders firmly, making eye contact with Kat. He had a very serious look on his face.

“Kat, I do like you as well. I know the kind of person you are. If I didn’t care about you, I wouldn’t have gotten rid of your curse back then, and I wouldn’t have trained you before the Chunin exams.”

Kat felt the firmness in his hands, and found out that he really meant it. She really liked Chris, but she feared that he didn’t like her.

Now she knows how TenTen felt all that time, the same goes for Hinata. They pursued the guy all this time, and they were very afraid that he wouldn’t like them back.

In the end, it did pay off. Now TenTen was Chris’s boyfriend. Kat thought that the gods were on TenTen’s side at that time, because of how lucky she was.

But for Kat, she could never chase after the guy she liked, because she always asked herself ‘What if he rejects me? What if he breaks up with me? What is he hates girls who go after him?’

Those ‘What if’s’ were what kept her from going after Chris's heart.

She never thought she was stronger than TenTen, because she could never do what TenTen could. She envied them a lot, and escaping with Chris to this world is like being given a second chance by lady luck.

“Do you remember during the chunin exams, after you healed me?” She said slowly.

“Yeah. What about it?”

“Do you remember the promise you made me?”

“I do remember. You promised me that if I cured your curse, then you will always stay by my side…” Chris said, he clearly remembered that day.

“And I said yes. But, I would like to ask you this, would you still like me to always be by your side.” Kat asked him with a serious look in her eyes.

Chris turned and saw many people watching them, some were even recording them with their phones.

‘My god, even in this world, people are always the same.’ Chris thought.

Chris didn’t answer, but held her arms and disappeared from that place, it looked like they teleported in front of so many people.

“Fuck!” A random guy said.

Chris and Kat appeared in a tall building. As a ninja, he can do simple things like this, even carrying another human on a tall building.

The view on the top of a building was definitely better than down. It just seems like a great view.

“Kat, I do like you, and I want you to be by my side forever and ever, and ever again.” Chris said.

Kat looked down and blushed, also a lovely smile appeared on her face.

“But.” He added. “I cannot do this right now. Lots of people are depending on us right now. Can we please wait, until this is all over.

Kat understood very well. Luna, Hina, everybody in Konoha was counting on them to stop the aliens before they all get killed.

“I do understand. But, remember that I will always be by your side. No matter what happens.” Said Kat.

“I know.” He was about to kiss her on the lips, and Kat was ready for it too, until Chris heard his phone ringing.

‘Is this the legendary cock-block tone that almost every anime/manga/slash novel has in its story. Never thought that it could happen to me.’ Chris thought.

He was about to hang up, until the phone read ‘Scott’

Then again, nobody else has his phone number…

Kat pouted angrily. She was this close to greatness, only to be blocked by an obstacle.

“Hello.” Chris asked.

“Chris, Lady Tsubaki and TenTen are asking for you.”

“What does the Queen want with me?” Chris asked.

“It’s urgent, just please come back quickly.” Scott hung up, but his voice seemed afraid and nervous at the same time.

‘Are we going to war or something?`` Chris thought.

“What was that?” Asked Kat.

“Tsubaki wants me to see her. It sounds important. Let’s go back.” Chris held her and rushed to the building where Tsubaki was. He really wishes he could use his teleportation seals, that would have saved them a lot of time.

After running for some time, they finally reached the building, and there was Scott waiting for them to arrive.

“I apologize for the sudden message, but this is very urgent.” Scott lead the two kids into a specific room of the castle.

Once inside, Chris met several old people, mostly males, that were having a big discussion over something important.

TenTen quickly signalled Chris and Kat to stand beside her. They did.

“Your highness, are you 100% sure that this news is reliable.” An old man with a white beard, and bald head, said out loud.

“Yes. My child, TenTen, was from that place as well, the same goes for the other two kids that are beside her.” She pointed at the kids beside her.

“TenTen, what is going on?” Chris whispered to TenTen.

“I told my mother about the current situation in the Elemental Nations, after that, she called for an assembly of some kind. I am not too sure what they are planning either.” TenTen responded.

“If this is true, then we must take action now against Wolf Territory.” The same old man said.

“Not now. We all know that Fan Uchiha uses my people as a source of power, so that means that he has lost his main source of power. If we attack them now, they will prove to still be very powerful. We must wait when they have weakened, and then we strike.” Tsubaki said.

They were discussing about what to do against Fan Uchiha. Hearing this piece of news, is the best thing they have ever heard in their lives

Since the Elemental Nations have fallen, then that meant that Fan Uchiha can no longer rely on his main source of power. That meant that his machines won’t be able to operate at full power like they used to.

This is the perfect time to launch an attack on Fan Uchiha.

But, Tsubaki had a good point. It is still too early to attack him, maybe after he had exhausted a bit more of his source of energy, is the best time to attack him.

*SLAM* Sound of the door opening fiercely.

“Your majesty, there is something you should see.” Said a skinny kid, about the age of 17 or younger.

“Is it from Fan?” She asked.

“Uhm… I don't think so. There is a young girl outside the walls right now.”

“A girl? Show me the picture.”

Then the kid shows the picture to everyone in the room, because of a holographic image that was displayed from the kid’s device. This is something anyone can do with their high tech.

On the picture, was Hinata. She was currently trying to enter the walls, but the guards wouldn’t let her.

“Hinata!” Chris, TenTen, Kat and even Tsubaki said at the same time.

The three kids looked at Tsubaki, wondering why she knows Hinata.

“Let her in, she is a friend.” Tsubaki said.

“Yes, I will do that right now.” The kid left hurriedly.

“Chris, did you also bring Hinata?” TenTen asked.

“I didn’t. The doorway should have closed as soon as we entered. It doesn’t make sense that Hinata is here.” Chris responded, unable to believe it.

“TenTen.” Tsubaki said.

“Do you want to meet your friend?” She added.

“Yes.” TenTen ran out of the room, with Chris and Kat following suit.

‘What was the point of Tsubaki calling me here?’ Is what Chris thought, but he put that aside because meeting Hinata is more important right now.
