《Creator of All-Realms》Chapter 10: Tales of an Immortal

''Those who seek Knowledge hold power enough to destroy stars. Those who hold power enough to destroy stars are seeking more Knowledge, for it is their power.'' A gentle voice sang in their mind, and it calmed them unconsciously. It was as if they were in a warm embrace, nothing made them feel safer than this voice.
Without noticing, they had already stepped into another space. They were teleported to a huge room, a majestic throne was built at its end, and a blurry figure sat on it. Looking at each other, the seven cultivators walked through the room.
The blurry figure on the throne seemed to be staring at them as they slowly walked forward, ''Isn't it wonderful? Every being who seeks Knowledge will never be satisfied with their current knowledge, for they are seeking the ultimate truth.''
''And those who master their own Knowledge are said to achieve unimaginable power.'' Once this sentence fell, they finally arrived near the blurry figure. The whole room seemed so majestic, huge pillars connected from the ground to the roof, giving off a golden brilliance. The throne was made of a beautiful material, it was covered with the finest and most comfortable leather.
Noticing that they were slightly distracted by the room, the blurry figure looked at them and so, it said with a gentle voice, ''However, is your Knowledge really the 'truth'? What you see with your eyes may be false, what you feel with your Spiritual Sense may be deliberate so you think it is the truth.''
They were stunned after hearing the voice, and so a clear, snapping sound came to their ears.
An once majestic room with the most durable and resistant material, the most beautiful appearance, the throne that seemed to capture their very Souls suddenly changed. Instead, the room seemed to have gone through countless years, signs of fighting could be seen as pillars were slashed by living beings with red-colored skin, curved horns on each side of their forehead and blood-colored eyes.; They were taller than ordinary humans, as each of them were about 3 meters tall.
It was such a vivid scene, the enormous pressure they exuded seemed to crush their bodies! Ye Tian, Lu Zun, Dark Abyss Sect Master, Hei Gou, Di Qian, Luo Ye and Gu Meng almost puked as soon as the pressure disappeared. The blurry figure looked at them, ''What you're seeing is the past history.''

History was being projected by the blurry figure so they could know the past, ''Millions of years ago, our World, which is called World of Origin, wasn't as weak as this. Thousands of races fought for hegemony, thousands of years of wars took place in the once peaceful world.''
''Countless Mortal realms like yours existed, and it was managed by the forces of the Immortal Realm. Once extraordinary beings from each Mortal Realm reached the peak of Ascending Decay Realm, they could try to undergo the last Heavenly Tribulation and ascend to the Realm of Immortals.'' The gentle voice paused for a second before continuing, ''Spirit Beasts, Dwarf Race, Human Race and countless others fought for the hegemony of the Heavens.''
A sigh left its mouth, pausing once again. The silence seemed to contain countless sorrows, a huge contrast to the once majestic appearance of the room. It took a while before someone, specifically Ye Tian, dared to ask, ''Can you tell us more about the Immortal Realm, what exactly happened? How could such a powerful force like this to disappear? What happened to the Immortal Realm and the countless Mortal Realms?''
Their world-view was broken by the blurry figure, they thought that they were the true ancestors of this world!
Looking at them, the blurry figure sighed once again before continuing, ''Every single realm aside from this one was destroyed. The beings that invaded are from the 'Demon Race'. Before I continue, may you bear the consequences, for ignorance is also a bliss. The more you know, the more you can feel desperate.''
''In the chaotic fight between thousands of race, the Demon Race, which lived in a world similar to ours, suddenly invaded. They were stronger than us, it was a tragic war. From the thousands of races, less than twenty survived after their first invasion. We united, coming into a single banner known as Palace of Knowledge.''
A figure was slowly revealed from the previous blurry one as its voice reverberated throughout the room.
In an instant, their eyes widened. It seemed to be similar to the huge figure they saw when the Palace of Knowledge first appeared. This time, however, they saw the figure very closely.
A young man who didn't seem to be older than 21 appeared before them, his appearance was enough to shock the most experienced and calmest being. In constrast to the usual cultivator's long hair, the young man had short, golden-colored hair. His eyes were silver-colored and seemed to contain the world within them.

He wore the standard daoist robe, black and white gems were clad in each side of it. One side of the robe was white-colored while the other was black-colored, its spiral pattern seemed to be alive, bringing an odd feeling of balance. All in all, they couldn't help but feel dazed after seeing such an extraordinary appearance.
However, the young man seemed to be a bit illusory, ''This is a Remnant Soul, the 'true' me has died. The war was extremely tragic, and I, Leader of the Immortal Realm forces, wouldn't let them annihilate all of us. In the last moment, I sacrificed my whole being to destroy the Demon Race.''
''A remnant soul?'' They stared at him and couldn't help but feel empathy, such a powerful being who stood at the peak of the Heavens, ended up sacrificing himself for the survival of his world. Lu Zun stared at the young man quietly before asking solemnly, ''Why should we believe that you're saying the truth? You could be very well try to possess our bodies and this is just empty talk.''
Hearing his words, the young man chuckled lightly, ''Oh, young one... You, owner of the Golden Heaven Body, should know better than others that I'm telling the truth. The other young boy should also be able to see it.''
His voice was as gentle as ever, ''Each of you have gathered one kind of Knowledge with you. It is the following: Pill Refining, Forging, Array Formation, Rune, Cultivation, Fighting, and Civilization Knowledge.''
''Each kind of Knowledge leads to its peak and allow its owner to arrive at the peak of Immortals. What I'm asking you is very simple, I don't require you to do anything to me, I'll disappear in a while. The seven of you may be the next Keepers of Knowledge, and so you shall enlighten the World with it.''
After a short pause, he continued, ''Young ones, the future of the World of Origin is in your hands. May you save it from destruction or not, never forget your original intention, for you are the beings who seek the purest kind of Knowledge.''
As he looked at them, the young man could see their inner feelings. Confusion, fear, awe and sadness could be felt, ''Do not worry, young ones. The time of the old beings has passed, it's your time to carry the fire of civilization forward. I believe that in your hands, the World will prosper.''
The seven of them looked at the young man as his Soul was dissipating between Heaven and Earth, but no fear of death was present in his face. Even at his last moments, the being who was once the Leader of the Immortal Realm forces, wore a gentle smile. With his whole heart, he wished for the well-being of the new beings!
Lu Zun, who seemed to be indifferent from beginning to end, couldn't help but close his eyes. As they opened once again, determination burned brightly within them, the youngster who lost his high-spirited mind and hot-blooded personality was back!
Dark Abyss Sect Master looked quietly at the dissipating Soul, her lost heart who hated the World for the harms it brought to her seemed to find spiritual relief. A gentle young man who sacrificed himself for the safety of the new generation healed her heart.
Ye Tian, Luo Ye, Gu Meng, Di Qian and Hei Gou felt the same. Each of them had a sad past, some were abandoned by their own Clan, some were despised by their Race, some had their whole family destroyed.
Aside from simply getting stronger and seeking the ultimate truth, they didn't have an objective, a true goal to complete. Unconsciously, the tales told to them by an Immortal touched their hearts so deeply, giving them a whole new reason to live.
For this, the young man forgotten in the river of time would be, once again, remembered by the World of Origin for his righteous actions.
His beliefs to save the world would touch the hearts of many others who saw his statue.
