A heavy sigh filled with sorrow flowed unceasingly throughout the whole of the giant god's army near his feet. Each were startled by such a strong emotion, as their own god was not one to reveal such a thing to those of whom are considered unworthy of such things. Many halted in their progress across the Plains of Nu'Ohn in order to express their desire of comfort towards the being above them. This action caused all to simply halt in their movements and stare upon the giant, whose eyes turned slowly to look upon them all.
'Ah,' the mental voice sighed once more, but without the strong emotion. Instead, it was filled with a calm which was used to quell those of whom had become excited over this turn of events. When one of his servants asked if everything was alright, the great head upon his shoulders nodded once before turning forward towards the great city of Necropolis in the far distance. Yes. He could indeed cause everyone to appear in front of such a city, but chose not to simply because he prefers to walk.
'As many well know, I lost my first children to those of whom were placed upon the "Tribunal". These children were to keep my mind at ease, whilst they grew up following the paths I set out before them.' Those nearest his feet nodded and gave their ascent of such a dark portion within the history of their god, then remained silent as he continued, 'Certainly, I've regained them all once we retook our world of Terra, but they weren't the same. Yes, they were each Puella, Lupa, Nox, Puer, and Igne, but they were not the same as I remembered them. Instead, they were simply different, but I took care of them nonetheless.
'Now, imagine if you were taken away from such a place, and all of your children were simply gone. Gone, removed, erased, everything disappeared. Such a thing would be devastating to you of whom are not Undead, as we each have something which removes such emotions to allow us to continue striving forwards.
'After not being without children, even those of whom are not of your loins, and suddenly being called, "Papa", how would you react?'
Those nearest his feet voiced a simple, "I don't know," or a shrug at such a query. To which he simply nodded at their answers whilst supplying his own, 'You would be confused, unable to fully react to such a title given by those who view you as such. From within my mind, I had such thoughts full of confusion, as I did not know how to react.

'Certainly, there was some elation for such a thing, but I being who I am was merely confused and not at all happy about such things. For the time being, however, I would allow this to occur as I would need to remember such emotions when the time came for us to finally claim our world of Terra. Even if it meant enduring the torture that was the past.'

"Siuun," I called to the attention of the girl-child in my arms. Of whom seemed to be delighted about something which had crossed her mind, "Why did you call me 'Papa'?"
Her head cocked itself towards her right shoulder, as her throat released a noise similar to a small creature who was curious about that which was near it. not knowing how to properly answer, she simply giggled with, "Papa is Papa."
"That is not an answer," I sighed with exasperation.
Of which caused Sia to approach my person from her former to whisper, "She's been like this since the males mistook her for another prisoner, My Lord God."
"Yes, but this happened only moments ago, correct?" At her nod, I continued, "Then how is this possible?"
"If you can recall, she was to be sold off as a slave for work or copulation with a male. This caused some trauma within her mind, coupled with your imposition of torture..." Her head shifted towards the left side of the throne, as my own became slits of displeasure, "Perhaps it was inevitable she would become this way."
"Perhaps this is so," I spoke slowly, as my eyes flashed with a thought, "Check on the other children. Especially those of whom had been slain and respawned after this turn's events."
"My sisters are already watching the group in case such an occurrence repeats itself as with Siuun." The child tilted her head towards the Undying as though she was called out to, but simply shrugged and began to gnaw upon my right clawed fingers whilst humming an unknown tune.
"Good," my voice rumbled softly, retaking my seat upon my throne of stone and bone, "Fetch San'yuu. It is time he fulfill his requirements in order to become young and whole once more." My Undying leapt to obey with all due haste, as I simply turned my attention towards the small girl-child upon my lap. Of whom had taken up my clawed fingers, and were playing with them in whatever world her mind had created.
Yes. My mind was calm as I continued to watch her play, but it was interrupted by the Barrier Wolf. Of whom constantly whine, but not from the lack of attention. Instead, it was because of the small pack of Scarab wolves circling its small body which called out to my person for assistance.
It was here that I noticed a translucent barrier form around the creature, as its form shivered with all nine of its tails tucked beneath its body. Or rather, trying to tuck, as they were rather fluffy and its body was quite small. However, I did not wish to lose such a valuable creature, and ordered the wolves to refrain from attacking it.

Unfortunately, the female refused to obey my orders. That is, until it found herself to be floating high above the ground. Whereupon it flailed and yipped with a spark of fear from the unknown grip which was situated around its body. "As I said," my voice rumbled, shaking the air around it, "you are to refrain from attacking such a creature. Understand? If you do not, I am sure Rojaahn and his experiments upon your body will."
Once she was placed upon the ground, the female crawled towards my position with a low and flattened body. Her tail swayed slowly from side to side, as her ears were laid back, and a low whine erupted from her throat. Such a display was humiliating for any other, but seemed to be common for the others of her kind, as they each recognised her as their alpha. However, to her, I was the alpha and what I say is law.
"Integrate it into your pack, but do not kill it simply because you desire it amongst your cadre of puppets. If I find out you had done such a thing, then you will not long be able to walk amongst the living anymore." Noting the skeletal and shade-like wolves, I repeated such a statement towards them as well. This was done so in order to assure the new wolf a place of safety and one it could call home. However, the cleverness within the alpha was concerting towards my person, one that needed to be taken into account, as she would strive to kill and convert any and all animals she finds of interest. This barrier wolf was one of them, but with my eye upon it, such a task was daunting and hardly obtainable, but was not completely impossible.
To this end, I summoned up one of my smaller Dolls, a raven, and ordered it to follow and guard the Barrier Wolf without making its presence known. As I had the inclination this alpha would strive to have the other killed when I was not present. Why she would desire such a thing was simply because after her becoming an Undead Lich, she developed an intelligence many would not believe there. However, I was able to perceive such a thing from our linkage to one another, even if she did her best to hide it.
Yes. She was amongst the more intelligent of my servants, and was probably the most ambitious. As her feral dreams were full of her conquering my person and taking up my mantle as a god. No. I did not have her killed, as she was still unique, useful, and very interesting to my person at that time.
And why should I? If one of you had such an ambition, would I have you killed? No. Instead, I would watch over you more closely in order to see what you were capable of. There are very few who can challenge my person at this point in time, more so with my past self. As the I of such a time was not as powerful as the I of today. Therefore, I needed to watch out for such potential in order to convert them to my side, or kill them off immediately. One such being was this female, of whom was now leading her small pack and the Barrier Wolf away from my presence.
As this occurred, a small cough flowed over my person, bringing back my mind to the real world. Of which still consisted of the rape and torture of others, albeit less so than before, as many had already satiated themselves long ago. Whereas those still left were amongst the lesser variants of my servants.
However, the one who coughed was San'yuu, who simply bowed his scaled head in my direction. He was accompanied by Sia, of whom allowed his person to lean against her own. She did not appear at all comfortable with such an action, but endured for my sake. "You desire to see me, Lord?"
"Yes, San'yuu, I did. It is high time you were sent off to the land's main capitol in order to warn them of my presence." My body leaned back against the throne, whilst Siuun copied my actions upon my lap.
"If I may?" Began Sia, of whom was given permission to speak, "Why would you do such a thing, My Lord God? Why not simply obliterate them and be done with it?"
"And ruin the chance of having the draconic races rule over this land?" A sliver of mockery entered my voice, and was only missed out by my apprentices, "Once we are through with our conquest, and I have claimed this world for my own, there will need to be a populace to be dominant over others. They will also follow my creed and laws, as I shall be the only god for them.
"Besides," my eyes flared a brilliantly emerald as I chuckled with great mirth, "this will make a great experiment as opposed to what we have always done in the past. Not to mention there is still that human 'god' running around upon this land of Azara. Of whom will become a thorn in our sides soon enough."

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
