Rather, I would have if the entirety of the world did not become as white as snow. There was also a few bold, red letters floating above our heads, but I paid little attention to it. For now, I tsked once more, and waited for the darkness to roll in where I would meet Roj and his petty tribunal of fools.
Unfortunately, I would not be able to do so, for as soon as the darkness rolled in it receded, leaving me in the middle of the Hub world of Azzarath. Of which left me not at all amused by the current situation.
'We are being watched,' came the mental voice of my God, 'It is best not to return to the castle just yet.'
"Then where should we go, My Lord God?" came my response, "If we cannot return, where should our next step be?" For a time, He stayed quiet whilst I noted the many stares we were incurring for standing in the centre of the Hub. Even though they were many, and I was not bothered by them, it was still rather annoying to be gawked at.
In one instance, a Halfling female in something of a solid, ocean blue dressed approached tentatively. She appeared to be nervous, but then screamed and ran off towards a large gaggle of her kind. Whereupon they did admonish her person for not touching the armour I wore, of which caused my head to lean more towards my right shoulder. "What a strange bunch," came my response to this, "Well no matter." Shrugging my shoulders, I stayed in my position whilst the Hub world continued to fill up with more races of every size, shape, and hue. All the while not caring for their stares, nor noting the many hateful glares which fell upon my body.
*****
Unbeknownst to our persons, the False God of Terra was one of those beings who glared upon my body. For I had taken upon my person to not only disrupt his "script", but killed off three important players. All of which would not return, as I had actually manage to destroy the essences which made them, them.
"What are you?" he asked the emptiness between us, "How did you kill them so quickly and so utterly?" Of course, I heard none of this as he fled back into the space where he resided, and began to search the screens for his answers. One of which being a complete scan of my body, energy, and the like when I first teleported in.

Which then caused his person to jump in great startlement, before the his face was split in half by something akin to an evil grin. "Oh, you actually belong on Terra. Which means you are mine to do as I so please." In so saying, this False God performed some sort of button mashing upon a translucent keyboard which then brought up a screen with the face of Azazel.
"Yes?" she asked, with the look of displeased boredom etched across her facial features, "What do you want, Draxis? Can't you tell I'm busy with work?" Which led to the image of her watching a few half naked male Humans slowly thrusting their hips in her direction whilst a few mangled bodies of the same race lay in a nearby corner.
'I'm sure you are,' he mused mentally.
"This one can read your mind, Draxis," her eyes narrowed at this point, startling the other enough to make his body jump, "The distance does not matter, so watch yourself."
"Will make a note of it," he muttered, "What I wanted to tell- show you was the energy readings from one of the summoned beings to Terra." With a few strokes across the keyboard, the images and reports about my person vanished from his side, and reappeared upon hers. Whereupon they were subsequently tossed away with a sigh, which startled his person once more.
"And?"
"And that one is one of my prisoners that had found a way to escape."
"And?" She held a look of annoyance, whilst her eyes were directed away from him and towards the nearby crotch of a male Human.
"And I want it back under my control."
To this, she sighed and swatted the Human males to the side, splattering their bodies upon the nearby walls. Where they did slide down slowly, falling into a pile of blood, bone, organ meat, and flesh. "You will be denied."
"What?!" he cried out, not at all pleased to hear that his request has been denied so quickly, "Why?"
"Why?" Slowly, her small hands rubbed her temples, "Because that one is soul bound to a God that is much higher up the food chain. If this one were to play favouritism to you, after they've been together for many a year, then that one, and everything it controls, will cause the whole of our Pantheon to become unstable. Which would then cause the other Gods and Goddesses outside to take advantage of the destabilisation to attack.
"All because you desire one little soul?" Her eyes, normally a molten silver in colour, became a dark crimson at the notion of disrupting the tiny balance within her Pantheon. Which led to her small, blunt teeth to elongate to the point of them sticking out.

Azazel's hair grew much longer, more wild, whilst her nails stretched themselves and curved slightly inward. This visage, one he was most intimate with, frightened the False God immensely, as one of the foreclaws poked through the screen to point directly at his person, "You will be forever denied. Consider this your final warning, Warden Draxis. Do not try to gain that soul as this will lead to your, and possibly our, destruction. Understand?"
Slowly, the armoured being nodded his head, whilst the girl-who-was-not-a-girl quickly reverted back to her child-like self, "Good. Now, don't bother this one unless you are dying, or your system is on a meltdown. That will be the only time I shall answer you." In so saying, she waved to something off screen, which allowed a trio of Wolfmen with very little clothing to walk in, take one look at the pile of Human flesh, blood, and bone, then began some sort of sexual dance which would have made even I giddy with suppressed joy.
Which then led to the other to switch off the feed, and slump against the throne within the space. "She said not to, but it's still one of my prisoners. I just need to figure out which God it's been bound to, and go from there."
*****
"Which leads us back to where our God needs to continue the story, or else I'll be missing several key features. Such as the meeting with the False God before killing him, and the like. Of course, I could tell it to you," the Lick King placed his right primary, clawed hand upon his chest, "but I wasn't there."
"Um... Lord Brutus?" called out a pink scaled Lamia with fiery orange hair and eyes.
"Yes?" His own gaze turned towards her, who shrank a little in her seat.
"Um... Do you like males more than females?" Loud, uproarious laughter echoed throughout the endarkened space they were in, as the Ageless walked out from behind the throne. In his arms was Nox, who was staring at everyone with large eyes filled with wonder, as his nine tails swayed from side to side slowly. This caused many a female to squeal with delight at the small creature, and appeared to desire holding him, but refrained from doing so. For they saw the little hybrid as a pet to be coddled, whereas he was in fact a minour God of Darkness.
"You should know the answer to that, young one," called out the God King, who pat the metallic skeleton's head slowly. Of which was then followed by Nox who repeated the action, albeit softly, "As a matter of fact, he was quite in love with my person in the beginning, then mellowed out after about a decade. Not to mention he was the most disappointed when I became betrothed to my adoring wife, Sarah."
"My Lord God," whined Brutus, "you embarrass me."
"Perhaps, old friend, but it is the truth."
Upon such confirmation, those before their persons conversed with one another for a time. Whereupon a lone male Tigerman slowly stood up and turned towards the Lich King. They then noted the many muscles which coated his body, as a pair of large, golden orbs stared in their direction. "Then, is he single?" A soft voice flowed out of the being, which startled many around him. For the male was nearly three metres in height, and one quarter of that in width. Which caused many to believe that this one might have a deep, rich, and commanding voice, instead of the soft, flower-like tone which burst forth in a waterfall of sunshine and rainbows.
"Well there you go, Brutus," the Ageless lifted the other onto his feet, and shoved him in the direction of the Tigerman, "You now have someone to play with. Have fun."
Of course, the Lich King was somewhat annoyed by being pushed towards the male who spoke, and tumbled straight into his awaiting arms. Who then hugged the other until that which was within all Undead calmed his mind and body down. "Oh my, you really are made of metal, aren't you?"
This led to the Ageless laughing once more, causing the space to shake slightly, whilst he was joined in by a higher pitched laughter. Of which belonged to his son, who giggled greatly after he noted his father had stopped. Those who were female sighed happily when they heard the child's voice, and restrained themselves from surging forwards in order to coddle and cuddle with his person. It was difficult for themselves, which led to them inching closer. Morse so when they realised his mother wasn't nearby to take the hybrid away.
"Is your son going to be listening with us, Ageless?" asked one of the females, who then gasped once they heard his ascent, "Isn't he much too young?"
"My son, believe it or not, has been introduced to the Darkness a long time ago," spoke the Kitsune, who smiled down at the hybrid as he settled into the throne with the other upon his lap, "The only one who disapproves is his mother, Sarah, who would rather spoil him with treats, good food, and live a peaceful life away from everyone else."
"But not you?"
"No, not I. Instead, I had introduced his person to the Darkness which lies within everyone, and had him participate in a variety of experiments which he seemed rather okay with. However, that is a tale which you will never know."

Prey No More
Imagine being given a second chance at life. Not only that but with a life you chose (sort of). This is exactly the situation that our character is in. He was once a Biology Graduate Student involved in a special program in Alaska studying Polar Bears. In an ironic twist of fate his life is ended by exactly that which he was trying to study. Now, in a new world, he refuses to be anything but the top of the food chain. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a story I began writing a year and a half ago and decided to shelf, I'm coming back to it now because I miss writing; however, I have not carved out any time specifically for this and, as of now, it will be something I do on the side for fun. Currently I have 9 chapters plus a prologue written; I'm going to be going through and editting it to be in a present tense (from past), as well as changing some of the story and grammar. Let me know what you think, and thanks for reading.

The Bronze Players of Recreation
The world of Creation has seen a recent explosion of what can only be called an adventurer’s culture over the past few decades. People who were once looked at as nothing more than lower class mercenaries rose to the ranks of heroes and legends as adventuring became recognized as an idealized lifestyle of overcoming hardship and finding triumph. With the establishment of a guild-based government system on the continent of Terramania, adventurers were soon legitimized and adventuring became a phenomenon universally accepted around the world. Redlette had retreated from this world to live on Earth for the remainder of her years, having been born and outcast by the gods of Creation. However, upon meeting a friend that she treasured dearly, she found herself longing for a return to her world—she wanted to experience it properly and go on adventures with someone whom she holds dear. Putting a plan into action, she meets with her friend, an awkward, nerdy boy by the username of Herring who she’d only known through years of playing online games with him, and invites him to go on this fantastic adventure with her. An adventure in another world had always been an impossible dream for Herring, but when he suddenly found himself with the opportunity to embark on one, he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as books and shows made it out to be. Redlette was notorious for rushing into things without thinking them through, and he was flighty and weak. In the games they played together, they rarely grasped victory. They were losers through and through, both in hobby and life. Despite this, though, he takes the leap and sets off with Redlette into the world of Creation. Together they only had one goal: to have fun and go on the adventure of their lives. This time, they’d establish a guild of their own and be free to take on whatever exploits their hearts desired. This is the story of the founding of their guild. Author’s Notes: -My writing style is largely based off of the absurd amount of light novels I’ve read and anime I’ve watched, so it may come off as cartoonish or exaggerative at times. If that isn’t your thing, I’d steer clear of this story.-Not an MMO story.-No numerical stats.-Relatively slow pacing.-Posts are between 2000-5000 words weekly after Chapter 1.
