《Mecha In Cultivation World》29- Ice Cream

In his previous life, Ambrose loved cooking and used to watch many cooking shows. He has learned many things from his mom.
His cooking style was different from this world. However, he was sure that he can make this group of people impressed by his cooking. He knew that these people can change his destiny and it was good to stay in their good books. No one knows when he will need them.
Zelda looked at him and then snapped her finger. Fire started burning at the camp.
Ambrose looked up and saw that it was mid-afternoon. A sudden idea sparked in his mind. "No need for fire." He said.
Todd looked at him with surprise. "You are gonna cook food without fire?" He asked.
Ambrose looked at him and smiled. "Well yes, however, it would not be a meal. It would be more like heavy refreshments." He wanna make something similar to ice cream.
However, he was not sure how he will accomplish it. "Can you show me the type of fruits you have? And yes keep that meat back or it may rot." He said while looking at Todd.
"Fruits? Ok, these are the ones I have." He said and took many varieties of fruits out of his ring.
Ambrose looked at them and his eyes widened in surprise. There were at least a hundred types of fruits there.
"You had a deep ocean apple!" Valda said as she tried to grab a blue coloured pearl-like fruit. However, before she could touch it a spear came in her view and she stopped with an awkward smile.
She then backed up. "Big brother Todd. You are not gonna kill me for a fruit right?" She asked, however, looking at the deathly aura that permeated from the giant guy she gulped her saliva and backed up even more.
Ambrose started looking around, his gaze landed on a half-cut fruit. It was already sliced in half and looked like Todd has already used some. However, it was not the fruit that he wanted it was the seeds.
They looked like Sev. He has made a sev dish before. He watched its recipe on the internet. Although Sev he saw on the net was not a seed but made from starch.
"Can I taste that a little?" He asked.
Todd looked at him and nodded. "Boy if the dish you made is not worth it then you are gonna regret it. That fruit is very rare." He said.

Ambrose nodded at him and then took one seed and placed it in his mouth. The seed was like a noodle however sweet and better than it. It was perfect for what he wanted to make.
"Do you have some milk?" He asked.
"Here." Todd took out a half-filled pitcher.
Everybody looked at Ambrose with a curious expression. They wanted to know what this new friend of theirs could make.
They didn't expect much from him as they have already tasted many amazing dishes in their life. It was to the point that it's hard for them to find a new good dish.
And on top of that Todd, a master cook was in their team too. He cooks the best food that they have ever tasted. "Nova, I hope you can beat this fatass in your cooking. He is too arrogant about his dishes." Valda said as she was still angry at the previous incident.
Ambrose just smiled at her. He was focused on remembering his dish. He was gonna make a Falooda a south Asian dish. It used milk Sweet Basil seeds and Sev that is made from starch.
It was quite a simple dessert to make. A perfect alternative for ice cream. He tasted some more fruits and then finally nodded. "Can anyone produce Ice Mana?" He said and looked around at everyone.
"White." Everybody pointed at the seemingly invisible guy. He looked at all of them and stood up.
"I will need some Ice," Ambrose said and then gave White an empty bowl. "Fill it with ice." He said and then started mixing up fruits and milk together.
"Hmm... I have never heard about such a dish before. Tell me where did you learn it from?" Todd asked with a curious expression.
"What? Even you have never heard about such a dish before?" Oscar had an Impressed expression on his face. He knew that Todd was a great chef. To think that even he has not seen such a dish before tells they are gonna eat something different today.
Zelda looked at Ambrose with her eyes shining there was a sweet smile on her face. She loved trying something new. And especially something she didn't expect.
She never thought that they will encounter this peculiar boy today and he would turn out to be a chef.
"Ahh... I just came up with it on the spot." Ambrose said with a smile.
"Boy don't tell me that you are preparing to poison us all!" Valda said.

Ambrose just smiled at her confusion.
"Seniors have to just believe me on this one." He said and then took the Ice from White's hand. He placed the milkshake in a pitcher and then placed the pitcher in the Ice filled bowl and then left it for some time.
"It will be ready in just moments." He said and then looked at everyone.
"That's it? You will not cook anything? I have never seen someone making a dish from just some Ice milk and fruits. You didn't even cook anything." Todd looked at the pitcher in excitement. He was eager to taste something new.
After about five minute of awkward silence, Valda finally couldn't resist and spoke up. "How long will it take?"
Ambrose smiled at her question and replied. "It's ready." He said and placed six wine glasses on a tray and started filling them up with Falooda.
He also placed spoons in them.
"Here you all can taste it." He said and looked at all of them. He really hoped that they like his dish as it can help him in future.
He has remodelled this dish that he learned from the internet. He has tasted it before and although it was not the same as the one he made on earth it was the same approach.
In his opinion, it tasted even better than the one on earth it was because of the superior quality of fruits he used.
Just as he thought about fruits suddenly a surprised expression appeared on his face and then he looked at Todd. He had a smile on his face.
"You broke through. Told you that these fruits are not cheap. Let's hope the dish you have made it worth it." Todd said.
Ambrose has broken through to Level Six body Master just by tasting some fruits. 'They are too expensive. I hope they like Falooda.' He thought.
Valda was the first one that reached out for the glass and placed a spoon full of Falooda in her mouth and just as she did, her eyes widened. A sweet and silky taste filled her mouth.
And a soothing cold sensation ran through her chest and rested in her abdomen. She looked at Ambrose with a surprised expression and then at Oscar.
"Boss, can we keep him as our Chef instead of this Filthy Todd?" She said with pleading eyes.
Oscar listened to her and then raised his brows. He looked at the wine glass filled with the dish and took a spoon full too. A smile formed on his face too.
"Todd, your position could be in danger here." He said and took another mouthful of the cold dish.
Zelda also tasted the Falooda and a smile formed on her face. "Nova is both cute and a great chef." She said the black cat on her side jumped around her to taste the dish as well. She could feel the excitement on everyone's face.
Ambrose served the cat in a small bowl too.
"White just took his glass and moved away from everyone he sat in a corner and sneakily consumed the Falooda from below his mask.
Finally, it was Todd's turn. He looked at the odd juice like dish in his hand and took a spoon full in his mouth and then looked at Ambrose like he has seen some ghost.
"You said that you came up with this dish on the spot?" He asked with an expression of disbelief.
"It's more like I remodelled the dish. As I have never seen such ingredients before." He said with a slight smile. He was not proud of himself as the dish was very simple and he didn't even invent it.
After all of them finished their glasses they had a satisfied expression on their faces. "You will be a great addition to our organisation," Oscar said with a smile.
Not only this guy can make amazing armour he can even make such amazing foods. The thing that he has created today would be sold for a very high price in their organisation.
"Thank you so much, seniors. I am very lucky that I meet you. I will be leaving now. Hope we can meet again." Ambrose said and stood up.
"Nooo! Please stay for a bit more. Let's have dinner with us." Zelda said with a reluctant expression. However just as she finished her words. Oscar took out blue coloured stone that flashed lights at equal intervals.
Everybody looked at the stone and serious expression appeared on their faces.
"Boy, unfortunately, we all have to leave now. I hope we meet again in the future. Take care." Oscar said.
"I will definitely join your organisation if I ever got the chance to do so. I wish you well on your journey." Ambrose said and bowed towards the lot.

Recruit - An Infinite Labyrinth prequel
A prequel to The Infinite Labyrinth. The year is 1816. The British Empire is in full swing, under the auspices of King George III. The Infinite Labyrinth has been pouring out its product from beyond our reality and fostered a new industrial revolution. Times are changing, and the people of London are feeling the winds of the revolution while British Professionals push into the Labyrinth. The newly formed Artefact Hunting Company is looking for recruits, and they have new technology to help them. From the slums of London, they aim to recruit a new wave of Professionals. And make Zacharias and the Earl of Carnavon lots of money. So, for Rowan Rivers and a handful of lucky ones, it's time to head into the Labyrinth, and discover what makes it different from England. And what makes THEM different? Recruit is a bunch of chapters I wrote to create to the setting, mood, and game systems of the Infinite Labyrinth. It is NOT a complete story in the classic sense. It's more of a slice of life view of early days of a normal Professional from the Infinite Labyrinth, and it's heavy on info-dump. It's 90% canon - there's probably a bit of a difference between how some characters and common behaviour are portrayed here and how they'll come out in the main story. Set two years before the events that kick-start the main series, it features some of the secondary/peripheral characters of the Infinite Labyrinth and will tell you all about the basic mechanics of the Labyrinth's RPG system. It can be considered a spoiler, as the characters in the Infinite Labyrinth are going to need to figure out all that, on their own. But if you like a much deeper exposition in the mechanics, here it is. The entire prequel is about 80 pages long.
