《Mecha In Cultivation World》32- Devil's Peach

Ambrose stood there in the middle of jungle with haggard eyes looking at his last Beast Core being eaten by the Molten Beetle.
He couldn't just refuse him when he has given two good quality cores to the cat. It would make him look like a partial guy in front of his beasts.
He wanted to maintain a good relationship between him and the beasts that he tame. So in times of need, they help him with all they have got.
"Let's go." He said with a dead voice as he equipped his Snipe Suit. Everything has gone wrong today. First, his Monkey Arms got destroyed he also got a wound on his back. That was still not healed completely. And finally, he got a gluttonous beast in his team.
However, he soon recovered from the dread. He was always like this. From his previous life. He accepted reality very quickly. And always tried to go with the flow. Not trying to force anything if it doesn't affect him or the ones he cared about.
"At least now I can join the Golden Falcon academy without revealing my Mechas." He thought and looked at the yellow cat by his side with a smile.
Now he was not afraid of showing off his mecha that much. As he has learned from the Oscar and his team that many people will confuse it with some kind of armour.
However, he still wanted to avoid showing them as much as he could. Because treasures and beauties were always the cause of war and bloodshed from the beginning of time.
Be it Earth or this world it was the same. Human greed knows no bound. They could go to any length for their vanity let alone power. His mechas could be a source of greed for many.
He was lucky that Oscar and his team was not one such group. They were good people.
After reaching the outer edge of the forest he stopped as he saw Nelson and his team there. As it was already evening time they were returning to home.
"I should first break the news of getting the Blaze Jinx to Nelson and his father." He decided to first show the cat to Nelson and his father.
He has already come up with a story that he is going to tell all of them. Although it would not be that believable. He doesn't really care about them believing him or not. He just wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible.

And if nobody chose to believe him then that's ok. He was only even showing them the beast is because Nelson was his best friend. And he at least wanted to tell him that he will go to the capital.
"Hey, guys!" Ambrose said as he appeared in front of the lot. There was a slight smile on his face as he looked at them.
Nelson and the team looked at him and a worried expression appeared on their faces. "What happened to you? Why is your shirt soaked in blood?"
Nelson asked and moved towards him with quick steps. Geis also moved towards Ambrose. "Little boy, you ok?" He asked.
"I am fine Uncle Geis. It's just a small injury. I think it will be healed pretty soon." Ambrose said with a smile. He had already covered his injury with his shirt and currently, his condition was not that bad. As he is already at Body Master level six.
Nelson suddenly grabbed him and pulled his body with him. "Come look at what I have found!" He said with an excited and loud voice. Everybody in the group around him looked at Nelson in jealousy.
While Geis has a proud smile on his face.
"What is it? And why it is moving?" Nelson asked as he looked at something covered by a cloth. It was moving inside.
Nelson looked at him and then looked at the cloth. And when he saw it moving a slightly terrified expression appeared on his face.
"Why is that Devil's Peach moving?!" Nelson said as he stood up in terror. He then looked at his father. Geis also came running towards them when he saw the cloth moving.
They have just found a Devil's peach that was as big as a watermelon.
However, it suddenly is moving on it's own. "Devil's peach?" Suddenly Ambrose realised something and looked around. The Molten Beetle was still sitting on his shoulder, however, the Jinx was nowhere to be seen.
He gulped his saliva and slowly turned his head towards the moving cloth. Blood almost flew out of his mouth. 'Don't tell me that the Jinx had eaten that fruit and is now under the cloth.'
He slowly moved toward the cloth and removed it with a swoosh and just as he saw what was inside, his soul almost left his body.

Nelson and the company also saw it and Geis almost lost his consciousness while Nelson on the other hand wanted to puke blood.
Blaze Jinx was currently licking her paws with a happy smile on its face. The black coloured fruit was smeared all over her face.
"Why is this Jinx here?!" Nelson said with an angry tone. His eyes were already red with anger and hate. The peach fruit that he has found was very precious.
It could be sold for a whopping three Low-quality spirit stones. It could have changed the lives of both Nelson and his family members. He may have even reached the Martial Master stage if he was lucky enough.
However, now this damn cat has stolen his treasure.
Ambrose looked at them with an apologetic face. He bowed down in front of Nelson and his father "I am sorry that my pet caused you trouble. I will definitely pay you back in the future."
He said as his face turned red in shame.
When everyone heard his words their expression turned from one that of anger to utter surprise. "Your pet?" Nelson asked while pointing at the yellow cat.
"Yes when I was roaming in the jungle I accidentally stumbled upon this Blaze Jinx and I don't know why it started circling around me. It had followed me ever since. I figured that it has accepted me as her master." Ambrose said in a low voice.
He knows that his story sounded unbelievably dumb. However, that was the only thing he came up with. He couldn't think of anything more convincing.
After some time Nelson let out a sigh and looked at his father. Both of them nodded in understanding. "What's happened has happened. Let's leave it at that. Don't worry about the fruit we may be able to get a new one someday."
Nelson said.
"Yes boy. Don't worry too much about that fruit. Since you have given us such a big surprise consider it as your gift." Geis said with a wide smile.
He was genuinely happy for Ambrose.
Rest of the people also looked at Ambrose and then at the Cat who was currently circling Ambrose rubbing its head against his legs. A smile formed on their faces too.
Having this cat as a partner means a direct entry in the Capital. Ambrose could now improve all of their lives. Previously they thought that someone from their village couldn't enter the capital.
However, now Ambrose has sparked a new light for their Village. He could be their hope for a better future.
"Congratulations boy. I hope you don't forget this village when you enter the Capital." Geis said as he ruffled his hairs with a proud expression.
"Yes don't forget your brother here when you reach a big place," Nelson said too while he punched him lightly in his chest.
Ambrose smiled at them. "Don't worry Uncle Geis, I will make sure Nelson goes to the capital with me." He said with a determined expression.
He has decided to help Nelson. Even after his pet eating such priceless fruit of his. He still forgives him and was even happy for him to succeed. Such friends were very rare.
'I have to do my best to get him the other Blaze Jinx.' He thought as he clenched his fist.
"Hahaha!" Geis let out a hearty laugh.
"Don't force yourself too much boy. Just help him when you reach the capital." He said.
Nelson also nodded at his words.
Rest of the villagers looked at Ambrose like he was from a different world. Some looked at him respectfully while some even looked at him with envy.
Ambrose had hit a jackpot and if they butter him enough then maybe they could also reap some benefits. The villagers thought. "We should all organise a party for Junior Ambrose here on getting a Blaze Jinx."
One of the villagers said with a smile. Ambrose smiled at him and the rest of the villagers. "No need to do that much. I promise I will help every one of you once I get to the Capital."
Although he was not gonna help particularly everyone, he could at least send some higher tire beasts for the Villagers every year. That could change the whole Village in just few years of time.

It tells the story of one Leon Eagles, formerly known as "Wild Fire", a quick and deadly gunslinger regarded as one of the best "shadowrunners" in North America. If you need someone to perform jobs in the shadows of society such as bodyguard duty, espionage, or even murder, Leon Eagles is the man to call. Together with his allies Sylvia Morrow and Brandon Rivers, Leon fights week-to-week to survive in a world of arcane magic and cutting-edge technology, a world of corporate suits and fire-breathing hellhounds, and a world where some of its biggest ever surprises are still yet to come...... This is my first web novel, brought over from ScribbleHub, and any comments and feedback are appreciated. Unique terms or further in-universe history for those unfamiliar to Shadowrun will be explained upon request, or you can check the ScribbleHub glossary here: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/297362/shadowrun-the-wild-fire-tales/glossary/.
