《Mecha In Cultivation World》34- Capital

All of them looked at the Ambrose and the team entering the carriage. There were in total of two more families there. One was a girl and her two sisters while another one was a boy with both his mom and dad. The carriage started moving as they sat down.
Geis looked at them and smiled warmly. "You guys also passed the test?" He asked.
The boy nodded. "Yes, we also weren't able to meet the perfect standards however after a test both of us were able to tame a Dark Hornet." He said and looked at the girl in front of him. She also nodded at his words.
After that uncle Geis and the guys also chatted more. And it turns out they were from a small town and already at Body Master Level nine. They were unable to meet the standards of getting in the Golden Falcon academy.
However, since they are the strongest in their town Zoe gave them another chance just like Ambrose and his village.
"Both of you have caught this Blaze Jinx at such low levels how did you manage to pull it off." The girl named Lulu asked with a curious expression as she looked at Nelson.
She thought that Nelson was the powerful one as Ambrose didn't talk much and kept it to himself. Nelson looked more confident.
"It's Ambrose that helped me. Turns out he is an expert at being a black horse. No one in the Village knew that his cultivation has increased this much. He helped me get a Jinx by providing me with a beast core." Nelson said while looking at Ambrose.
Ambrose smiled at his words. "It's nothing I was lucky that this cat accepted me as it's a partner without anything. Only because of that I was able to catch more beast cores and give some to the Nelson."
Lulu and the others looked at the shy boy and smiled. "You don't have to be so modest. There are many people like you in the capital. Who looks ordinary from the outside however they are pretty dangerous."
"I suggest you all take caution and not offend anyone in the Capital. Even if he is a beggar. No one knows what's in the store for you." The guy said. His name was Doran, he was a very talkative and open person.
His parents were also just like him. None of them got bored on the trip with them. They always had something to talk about.

"It will take us about ten days to reach the capital," Doran said to Nelson.
"Can you tell me more about the Golden Falcon Academy?" Ambrose asked with a smile.
Doran looked at him and nodded. He was just waiting for this question. He has previously been to the capital once and had a chance to speak with the academy student there.
"When we reach the Academy. Parents will get a small house and barn in the outskirts of the capital for one spirit stone each month. If we are unable to pay it in time they would be kicked out."
"You can buy better housing for them if you have more money. To get a house near the Academy which is at the centre of the Capital You will need at least five High-Quality Spirit stones every month. And trust me they are not easy to come."
"One Mid Quality Spirit Stones cost hundred low-quality ones and one high-quality one cost Hundred Mid quality ones. So to sum it up on need at least fifty thousand low-quality spirit stones every month." Doran said.
Ambrose listened to him and gulped his saliva. He wanted his mom to live in the best condition however that costs five times the amount his next mecha will cost and on top of that every month.
This was going to be very hard. However, he was determined to do as much as he could to earn sufficient amount of money so that his mom could live the best life.
"After our parents are settled we will be randomly assigned to a team of five and that team will stick with us for a long time. You could do different missions with your team to earn money and can get strong together." Doran said with a smile.
He was excited to meet his team members. He hoped to get some talented people in his group that will boost his powers with them.
Lulu looked at them and nodded. "Yes, it's depended on your team how powerful you will get. Although you could be a Lone wolf however you have to do that after the team assignment."
"Every month, a team has to at least do one assignment otherwise there could be repercussions. You could even be kicked out of the Academy." She said.
Nelson looked at her and asked. "Why they are so focused on the teamwork?"
"It's to tell you that teamwork is important. All these years humans have only survived in this dangerous universe only because of combined efforts put together by them. And to make sure in times of need every human will help others is taught by this method."

"You can't fight a demon alone," Doran said with a smile. There was an excited expression on his face. He was really happy that he got selected in such a great school. Not even the Town Chief's Grandson could make it though.
However, he did it. It was a proud moment for him and his family. He has never felt such a blood rush before. To fight alongside all the human race against the demons and Beast. What a thrill that would be.
Ambrose looked at his excited face and smile. He only knows one thing that is Demons will affect him or his loved ones then he will do his best to fight them. He didn't want to be a hero.
His only motto was to give a comfortable life to the ones he loved the most. Like his mom. His first mission will be to arrange a better accommodation for her after reaching the academy. He can't let her live at the outskirts of the Capital away from him.
On the other hand, Nelson's condition was the same as Doran. He also wanted to contribute to human society as a whole. He wanted to leave his name behind as a hero. As someone great.
Ambrose still had the token that Zoe has given him on the day they first met with the princess Lena. 'Looks like he has forgotten about the token. I will maybe use it in the future.' He thought.
The giant Mammoth moved through the Woods at a regular pace and in just ten days they reached the Capital. Although the Capital was very far somehow the Giant didn't take that much time to reach the Capital.
"Ok boys. We have reached the outskirts. You lot have One hour to settle your family down and after that, we will leave for the academy. If anyone turns up late. Just remember you will not find me here!" Zoe said in a clear Voice and then opened the Carriage Door.
Everyone looked at him and nodded. Most of them were sleepy as they have just woke up. However, after listening to Zoe's voice everyone started moving out of the Carriage quickly without any hesitation.
Because they knew Zoe was not joking he would leave them behind if they turn up late.
Ambrose jumped out of the carriage and the first thing he noticed was a huge wall in front of him. It was made out of some kind of metal. With many intricate patterns on it.
He was currently standing on a campsite. Where many tents were pinned. Ahead of the tents were many houses in the same design. And ahead of the stone houses was the big wall.
The tents were already empty as they were late. Only a few people were present in the area. And a team was even removing some of the tents. It looked like the recruitment happened here and now it's almost over.
Many trees covered the stone houses and winding snake-like streets connected them all.
"Here are your tokens." The muscular Zoe cast his gaze at everyone as he was standing in front of them with an imposing stance. His eyes stopped on Ambrose for a moment and then quickly moved around.
He then handed all of them a small silver coin-like token. On which specific numbers were written and to the token with a small chain was attached a key.
Ambrose took his Key from Zoe's hand and looked at it. Thalia also sneakily looked at the key with a curious expression on her face. She was standing just right beside Ambrose. Nelson was also standing on the other side of him and was currently feeling the token in his hands.
Nelson then turned to his left and smiled at his Geis. "Father, Mother. This will be your accommodation for now. I promise that I will do my best to get you on the walls as quickly as I could." He said.
Ambrose and Thalia looked at Nelson and smiled. While Zoe just ignored them and moved towards a purple colour tent that was just ahead of them. His Mammoth has already moved back and was currently dozing on the ground without any care of the world.
Geis Smiled at Nelson and then ruffled his hairs. While Nelson's mom also looked at him with a proud expression. "Son, you don't have to worry about us much. This is already better then what we were used too. Just focus on your training." His mother said.
"Yes, you should work hard and not let this opportunity go to waste." Geis also said.
Nelson nodded at them with a smile.
Ambrose looked at his mom and nodded. "Let's go mom or we will be late."

NEWDIE STEADSLAW Part I
NEWDIE STEADSLAW is a randomized array of Chekhov's red herrings, non sequitors ex machina, run-on sentences, and em dashes—so many em dashes. It's like if the Bible and Shakespeare had a baby that they surrendered to foster care, then it got adopted by Alice in Wonderland and Dr. Seuss—the books, not the people—and then the baby fell down the stairs. In this metaphor, the stairs wrote the story. Part I is the tale of the adventures of Traycup and Roby as they try to hold down a job inside the hollow Earth—a place made possible thanks to the secret science of embargoed relativity—and they get distracted by dancing foxes, a giant's record collection, and something with a train, I think. It's a work of fiction—although to call it work seems insulting to, y'know, actual work—but the fiction label is apt, so, y'know, that's a win. Half the words are made up, and the other half are embarrassed to be seen with them. Part I is complete.

Changement : Version Pile [French]
Notice: This story is in French, not in english, mainly because of my poor english. I may translate it later if I get better, and hopefully I will. - Author's note: this story is a concept. During the first chapter, the main character is faced with a major decision, which will change his life forever, and, not knowing what to do, he decide to play heads or tails, and let fate choose for him. And so there will be two versions of this story, one for each of the result, and their consequences for the main character, as well as all those around him. Here, he got tails.

Peace was hard for Garm, especially when the top brass was set to wipe him out of existence. Little did they know he was nigh unkillable! Author's note: Things to expect: - Adventure, magic, and myth? Sure - Action and a bit of dry humor? Why not~ - OP MC & VILLAINS. - Mind the tags. It's a litrpg and slow-paced. - Oh! MC is a bit suicidal! Things not to expect: - Romance. I've no intention of adding romance in the foreseeable future. - Good grammar (Fair warning: I'm not native and might have some issues with the language. I hope you guys will be helpful and kind to point out the wrongs.) Greetings! 'The Direwolf Sorcerer' is my first work, so be supportive and kind by pointing out my flaws. Thanks! ( This went by the name 'I died & reincarnated as wolf in fantasy world' almost a year ago in RR. Due to personal reasons, I dropped it only after 4 chapters. Now I'm writing it again, just with a new title.) *UPDATES EVERY SATURDAY I've plans for the cover art, but that's for later.
