Ambrose looked around and nodded at Jinx. "Now go and do as I have said. And after that, you can use this thing to catch as many beasts as you want."
The Jinx swung its tail and then ran away into the jungle. Ambrose has just told her to keep an eye on Edgar and his team and if necessary then stop them. He doesn't want to fail his mission just because of someone's petty revenge.
He has given his ring to the jinx because he believed in her. Although she is gluttonous and greedy she is still his pet and he could form a mental connection with her. He can easily make her understand what he wants.
Secondly, he has told her not stray too far away from him. So if anything happens she could come to the rescue very quickly. And lastly, she was more powerful and experienced than him. And with the help of Monkey Arms, it would be easy for her to trick the enemies.
Ambrose than looked ahead and quickly caught up with the group.
"Where did your cat go? You pervert." Vita came close to him and whispered.
"She saw some nasty faces today. Must be pooping somewhere." Ambrose didn't wanna ignored her again after what happened back then. However, he also didn't wanna get bullied so he replied with a sarcastic comment.
Vita narrowed her eyes, "Why did she need to go elsewhere to poop. When a moving pile is with us?"
"Oh, I can't let her poop on you. After all, you are still my teammate."
"Guys! Come on... Don't behave like kids. Move ahead. Look that is a stary den." Theo moved in between them and pointed ahead.
All three of them looked ahead and then narrowed their eyes. "Shit! We were moving in a circle!" Theo cursed as he looked at Constant and Audrey at the other side of Den, fighting a Black stray.
There were many wounds on their bodies, because of the humanoid black creature with big arms and grey eyes. Its moment speed was very fast and it was attacking them fearlessly. However, the stray was also not completely without any wounds.
It was in even more bad condition that the brother and sister duo.
"Since we are here, let's go and help them first." Theo moved on his horse and with a kick of dirt, he moved forward with a sphere in his hand.

Ambrose didn't move and stood at his place. His eyes moving in the dark brushes. Although he couldn't see anything, but the Jinx were sending him multiple signals revealing the locations of all the guys.
"Can you see them poop head?" From his side, a sweet and sarcastic voice came. Ambrose turned his head with a sigh and saw Vita with her colourful eyes and a bow in her hand.
"Let's drop this for now. I apologise for my previous behaviour." He said and then the snipe suit covered his body. The long sniper formed on his shoulder and a thermal camera popped out from the side.
"Hmph..." Vita just looked away, however, her eyes subtly caught the image of the unique armour that he was wearing and she was amused by him.
From the start, she knew that Ambrose was the only one that was not scared of this mission. Her unique eyesight allows her to be an empath and see other people's emotions.
And she saw from the start that even after being the weakest, he was the least afraid. Even constant was more nervous than him. And even after Edgar showed up his emotions didn't fluctuate much that was the reason why she was intrigued by him.
"Hey, tell me one thing. Where are you from?" Vita whispered as she aimed her bow towards the group fighting.
"Just a small village." Ambrose moved even further and then suddenly jumped in the bushes.
"Pervert, where are you leaving me alone?" She tried to stop him, however, no reply came.
Her eyes then moved around the dark spots of the jungle and a smile formed on her face. "So many auras." Moving slowly towards Constant and the team. Her eyes glowed in multi colours and she released the arrow from her grip.
"Shoo..." The Black Stray that was on his death bead got hit by the final nail in his coffin and the arrow pierced the back of his head, splattering purple coloured blood all over the grass. Some blood even struck on the clothes of three.
"Who did this?" Constant and Audrey became alerted and only when they spotted Vita did they relaxed a bit.
"Did you get the stray head?" Theo looked at Audrey and asked.
She gasped her breath and raised her hand. There was a jet black humanoid looking head in her hand. Its eyes curved inwards with no eyeballs and the strange purple liquid was falling off its neck that evaporated even before touching the ground.

"Hahaha...! As expected, all of you are stupid." Suddenly a sarcastic voice sounded in the place and Edgar moved slowly out of the shadows with his team behind.
"Hello, dear sister Audrey. Thanks for killing a Black Stray for me." He smiled and raised his hand, the black blur started to move around his hand.
"What do you think Sister Audrey. How will the uncle react when he comes to know that you need to pay taxes to enter the college? I think he will feel pretty proud of you. Haha..." He laughed as he looked at his lackeys.
Audrey gritted her teeth and her eyes turned black. Everybody looked up and could see a raven flying and scouting the area.
"Why are you getting all worked up? I told you before that you will never be able to catch me." The Black Blur above his hand moved and entered his body again. A smile formed on his face. "Now it's time to steal your hard-earned Stray."
"Enough!" Constant moved in front of Audrey.
Ambrose, who was hiding in the bushes with his Moneky arms on was about to move, however, he stopped. The yellow cat on his shoulder also stopped and sat down. His eyes narrowed as he looked at constant. He could tell that he was serious.
"Brother no..." Audrey moved beside him and looked with a worried expression.
"I can't let him boss us. He has to know his place." He said and place the edge of his sword against his palm.
Edgar looked at Constant and furrowed his brows. Even his lackeys stepped back a little seeing his serious expression.
"What are you two talking about?" Edgar asked.
Vita looked at Constant and even she stepped back. Her brows were furrowed and her heart started to beat faster. Gulping her saliva she looked at Theo, who also had furrowed brows.
"Keep your beast back..." She whispered.
Theo turned around and looked at her with a questioning look. However, looking at the serious atmosphere he placed his green horse in his beast bag. Audrey also called his raven back in her bag. Constant's tiger was already in his bag as it was injured in the previous battle.
"Brother, it is dangerous... You can lose control."
Vita looked around in the jungle and saw Ambrose hiding in the bushes. Her eyes then stopped at Edgar, who had already pulled out a dagger in his hand and was looking at them with a menacing expression.
She doesn't know what was happening with Constant, however, she read his emotions and they were overflowing with anger and confusion. She has never seen such great anger before in any human even a demonic beast doesn't have this much anger.
She also studied Audrey and she was scared. 'Something is wrong with this guy. I have to do something.' She pulled the string of her bow and aimed at Edgar.
"Move back now, or I will have to kill you." She said as she took a step forward.
Edgar moved his eyes and faced Vita. "You girl... You are pretty, however, I am not a feminist, I kill both equally. And I don't think you have enough power to even touch me."
Vita took a deep breath and released the arrow.
"Swiss..." The arrow pierced the air and moved towards Edgar.
His eyes widened and with a black aura, he dodged sideways quickly. 'What...' His face contorted. 'I clearly dodged that arrow.' He then looked at Vita. 'This girl...' Blood flew out of his shoulder as he looked at the arrow embedded in it.
"Run!" Edgar yelled to his subordinates. "Meet me at the place we decided."
His lackeys nodded and moved back into the jungle.
Constant cooled down and moved a step back, taking in a deep breath. Even Audrey took a deep breath.
Theo looked at all the events happening with a confused expression however kept his questions for later.
"Bitch... Give me that stray!" Edgar yelled and with a swoosh appeared before Audrey, his dagger quickly moved through her wrist and with a cut he grabbed the head and moved back again.
It all happened before Vita could place another arrow in her bow.
Constant looked blood flowing out of Audrey's wrist and his eyes turned red.

For those unfamiliar with my writing style, Second Chances was my first attempt at writing. I'm not sure how much I learned in the process, except that readers get angry when you mess with characters they like! Warnings - I tend to info dump. I know I do this, I like slice of life novels that take time to unfold. So don't expect action, murder, and battles in every chapter, it isn't going to happen I prefer the first-person narrative. I will do an occasional POV shift, but it will never be done mid-chapter. I hope you enjoy the story, comments, ratings, and favorites are greatly appreciated!

Chronicles of the Realms
Four Realms\One World These are the stories of the Realms, four entire universes seperated only by the thinnest of dimensional boundaries. Some of the Chronicles take place in only the home Realm of the characters in it, others span them all but what they all share is they change the narrative for the people who live through them. Just like life itself everyone is the lead in their own story and they affect those they meet, sometimes hugely and without knowing they have. In any case I hope you try out my story and stick around because it has only just begun.
