《WAKIAGARU》The First Spear

As his soldiers loaded more ryo no me into the catapults, Hukama watched the palace from on high. The roof of the machiya—a small local dwelling—atop the hill was the perfect vantage point.
The palace burned, and the wall was taking heavy damage. His forces were nearly ready to occupy the structure entirely to make sure the Emperor would not force an extended siege. Sneaking a few dozen of his best samurai into the palace had been easy. But now he needed to take the building.
Bellow in the warrens, a massive riot still raged—a distraction for his soldiers to move about unhindered for a time.
The warning gongs hadn’t even being struck yet. His agents had been successful, then. My strategy requires the utmost swiftness to be successful.
The six catapults were nearly ready to hurl more balls of the fiery shot across the dwellings of Yukai City and into the palace wall, at the City Barracks and on various other targets vital to the defense of the city.
Their contact in the city was delivering more of the infusion on short notice just in case they didn’t have enough to breach the wall.
But they did.
Behind Hukama, his engineers filled their ryo no me shot with the substance to help burn their targets to cinders.
Thunder echoed across the city from the west. They had no catapults in that direction. Hukama swept his gaze across Yukai City, saw the explosion and the fire, followed by a plume of smoke.
It seems they’ve had an accident dealing with the compound he had contracted for...
A random dwelling near the guild quarter. Hukama, the legendary general and First Spear of Daixen shrugged. He had already procured what he needed from the Unseen Watchers, a gang guild that cared nothing for the city it operated in, so long as they were paid. They were nothing more than a virus—a plague of this city. Once he took control, he would have to remove many of these unwanted, discordant elements that made nations so weak—so easy to take by conquest if one had good spies.

“Continue the bombardment,” he commanded of his generals. “We must leave this location soon before the Mikuma Imperial forces realize what is happening.”

I've been made aware that the discord link in my post-chapter plug is dead. Use this one until I fix it. Discord "The War of Fog is over. Every major city is under occupation. Now we prepare to take back our home." - Unknown Soldier The world's great heroes have slaughtered one another for the ideals of their countries, but the world keeps moving. The industrious nation of Ikesia lays still smoldering from the nigh-apocalyptic War of Fog, yet it stubbornly forges onward, shielded from further invasion by the impenetrable Blackwall. Its leader - the Sage of Fog - has disappeared, yet his influence is still felt everywhere, his plans and contingencies still in motion - even the Blackwall is said to be his last, desperate creation. New heroes have begun rising from the war of fog, and there is more need for them than ever. A towering foreigner has emerged from the desolate Exclusion Zone. She strides into the war-torn country without the intent to pick sides, but is soon forced to do so when the machinations of malevolent others collide with her own ego.

Guildmaster
When Leo was taken as the latest in a long line of prospective students of Guildmaster and level 860 Samurai, Sumiroma Kamei, life seemed very simple. All he needed to do was accept the inevitable; two or three months of torturous ‘training’, followed by death. Leo Proust did not accept the inevitable. The Guildmaster is dead. The town is defenceless and leaderless. Monsters that were once kept at bay now grow in power. In distant lands, plots and plans decades in the making are suddenly falling apart. And Leo’s life threatens to become very, very complicated.

Falling
It is often unclear when a thing comes to an end, the world itself no exception. In the event of the world ending, it was both abrupt and unnoticed, something down right confusing to most involved. Due to this confusion, we will quickly cover the short window of events that led to the destruction of the generally known universe, following the primary instigators to hopefully give the whole thing a little much needed context. ... Author’s Note: I intend to release regularly, hopefully weakly, within the planned three arcs. However, it may go on hiatus between arcs, but it should be clear that an arc has ended. Regardless, I currently plan to go on hiatus after the third arc, which is intended to be a natural breaking point. This is with the hope of not dropping off in the middle of narrative, and I am mentioning it now so no one is surprised if there are planned pauses. Content Warnings: I do not plan to include anything I would see as profanity, gore or traumatizing content. However, I do expect my bar for what qualifies is both above some people’s and below others. Therefore, I am including the Content Warnings so people are not surprised when my view is different. If you find something you do not like, I wish you luck in moving on without it farther concerning you. If I was not as extreme as you were hoping, I apologize for not meeting expectations. I have not marked sexual content, since I do not intend to include explicit sexual acts. However, sex and sexuality still exists and may come up as both an offscreen event or subject. Cover Art: The art work is by me, and I will take it down immediately at request from the artist.

Founding of Humanity - Animalist
This is the dawn of the age of mankind. It is time to push back the wilderness and establish the kingdoms and empires that will govern this land. Players, the elect of the gods, are now coming to help humanity fight back. The dark ages are ended, and now is the time to lay the foundation! Now is the time to establish civilization! This is the Founding of Humanity! I am building this world for my own amusement, releases are not on any kind of schedule. I got to thinking "what if a beast tamer was changed by what they tamed" and this game mechanic sprung to mind. I do not know where this story is going. The main character is becoming a skill hoarder, as that is an advantage of the class design. The game system in this story is insipred by Log Horizon and Sword Art Online, where you get a skill and that is the skill, instead of getting a skill and then leveling it through tiers and rankings.
