《Author Vs Protagonist》Chapter 11: Steal Some Lolipops

Zhang Wei was now thoroughly pissed.
F*cking sh*tty Author, can you not calm down and let me have a rest first! It’s only my first day in this new world! And how do you expect me to infiltrate that academy? Both the students and teachers already saw my face. Am I suppose to be a bug?
Zhang Wei had not even finished with his complaint when Author’s voice rang again. “However, Zhang Wei was in a bind. Everyone already knew him and he could not possibly be able to escape the detection of so many experts. Just as he was flustered, an answer came from the heavens.”
DING!
“Congratulations user, the heavens have decided to give you a quest. Completing this quest will award you with a Face Concealing Mask. Be glad, now you don’t have to be stuck with that ugly face forever.”
After receiving that notification, Zhang Wei screamed in his mind. He could not possibly fight the Author’s words, but could still curse at him in his heart, You piece of dogsh*t Author! Just wait till I get powerful enough to choke you! F*ck your mother and f*ck your sister. Your whole nine generations are pieces of sh*ts.
After soothing his anger by cursing out the Author, Zhang Wei opened up his status to check the quest.

Sh*tty system can’t you give me a break, what is with this disparity?! The first choice wants me to kill freaking 100 Level 3 wild beasts! You think I’m stupid? Ignoring the fact how tired I will be, how many Level 3 wild beasts do you think there are? One level 3 wild beast wild beast would be a leader of a region in the forest. It’s highly unlikely that I will find a bunch of them grouped up like that. Even if I were to be so lucky to find them, how the heck do I control my strength? I squashed a White Wolf Alpha by lightly punching it! And that was before I leveled up!
Zhang Wei could not believe the requirement of that quest. Whats even worse was that he is only given a day to complete it. Does the system expect him to run all night in the forest? Despite that, the second option was even more absurd than the first one.
Are you trying to destroy my reputation entirely? Stealing 5 freaking lollipops? You think I’m such a small time crook? You know what, f*cking fine, I’ll show you how petty I can be, you think I would be scared about ruining my already trash reputation? Well scared your sister, I’ll steal all the stupid lollipops. What do you have to say about that huh! Huh! HUH!!
While Zhang Wei was frustrated, he still saw a glimpse of hope, at least after he had completed the mission, he would be able to change his face using the mask. But like an idiot, he forgot that the system would never be so merciful.
Ding!
“User must be made aware that the Face Concealing Mask can only be used on Zarion Academy grounds. When the user is away from Zarion Academy, the mask will be completely useless.”

SH*TTTTTTTT!
He lost all hope. Even if he was not bawling, tears streamed down his face. NO! he told himself. There must be a loophole, What if I.
Ding!
Ding!
Ding!
For every loophole Zhang Wei could think of, the system will include new rules to counter them. Zhang Wei felt indignant. F*ck it! See if I care. With a heavy heart he headed down to the market lane. The market place was an amazing location. Rows of shops made the place lively and filled with people. One could see all sorts of people, from commoners who walked to nobles who who rode on carriages. With heavy security, the people were not concerned with their safety or getting into violence. After all, to become a security guard in the middle district required one to at least be a Level 2 Martial Practitioner.
Zhang Wei saw an empty bench on the side of the road and sat down, he needed to observe his situation and locate his ‘targets’. He looked around and saw a small boy sitting across him on the other side of the street. The boy was holding what he was targeting. A lollipop! Zhang Wei stood up and walked towards the boy. Each step of his was heavy and felt like sinking deeper into quicksand.
He arrived in front of the boy, with a mean expression. The child looked up to him with confusion on his face almost as if saying, Is there a problem Mister? His innocent eyes made Zhang Wei hesitate, but thinking back to the first option of the quest, he steeled his heart and snatched the lollipop from the boy’s hand. The boy was startled but soon processed what happened. Tears started to well up in his eyes and soon he started to cry loudly.
His crying attracted gazes from the people around them and when they saw the situation, they started to chatter. Looking at the boy crying and Zhang Wei holding a lollipop in his hands, they could more or less guess what had happened. Words like, “Omg did he really do that to a child” … “I cannot believe such a terrible person existed” … “He is such a shameless individual” … “Scum”, flew into Zhang Wei’s ears. He felt like crying. Not wasting even a single second, he ran away as quickly as possible. When people saw how fast he was, they were even more disgusted. An expert like that stole a lollipop from a child?
Rumors then started to spread.
