《Forsaking Reality》Chapter 59: Abandonment and Training

Sect Leader Fu stood off in the distance with a smile on her face. ‘Okay time to clear up some boredom she thought to herself. Hmm. I guess I should look serious as I do this.’ She thought to herself as she took a single step forward.
That single step made her appear right between Elder Jiandan Zhou and Peizhi Xiuying. Her smile had disappeared to be replaced with a cold look. The air radiating off of her caused Elder Jiandan Zhou to freeze in place.
Elder Jiandan Zhou didn’t know when it happened but all of a sudden it was only him and Sect Leader Fu in the area. The whole place seemed desolate and barren to the point the sect looked abandoned. It was an utter feeling of abandonment that caused his mind and body to feel as if it had no worth and was useless. He coughed up more mouthfuls of blood as his mind raced with thoughts of loneliness.
“You dare try to harm the disciples of my sect? Humph. An act as outrageous as this deserves nothing but death. But you don’t even qualify to receive the punishment as gracious as death. You are a perfect subject for me to test the divine ability I came up with. Mind if I mess you up?” Sect Leader Fu’s voice rang out all around the area.
Elder Jiandan Zhou felt his heart clench as he heard the words being said to him. He stared directly at Sect Leader Fu and then let out a loud roar. He coughed up another mouthful of blood and then flashed an incantation gesture. He pointed at Sect Leader Fu and yelled, “You aren’t a match for me!”
The sky above him turned into the night and the image of a full moon appeared. The light of the moon shone on Sect Leader Fu and gave off an aura that seemed to want to corrode her mind. But unfortunately it had no effect on her at all.
When the light showed on Elder Jiandan Zhou he seemed to grow in size. He grew to 10 meters and then shot up to 30 meters tall. Not only did his size grow but his strength and pressure grew as well. The aura emanating off of him became much more fierce as well.
“Prepare to die!” Elder Jiandan Zhou yelled out once more as he swiped at Sect Leader Fu. This simple movement held the power of his full cultivation base of the 3rd Grade of the Earthly Rank. A strike from this level of strength could easily destroy a small mountain. This blow crushed toward Sect Leader Fu in an attempt to utterly annihilate her.
Sect Leader Fu just stood there as the hand came closer to her. She didn’t care for this level of attack at all, in fact she wasn’t even looking at the hand approach her. Since she moved close to Elder Jiandan Zhou, she hadn’t paid any attention to him at all, disregarding him completely.

‘I wonder how my skill in abandonment will affect this mortal? Well only one way to find out. Huh? He launched this puny attack against me?’ She gave a cold snort mentally. ‘Humph. Daring to raise a finger against me is only courting death. Lucky for you, I decided to let you live however.’
A cold merciless smile crept upon Sect Leader Fu’s face as she finally noticed the attack heading her way. She waved a finger toward the attack which made a gray wind spring up and destroy it. In truth, even if she hadn’t noticed the attack and it had hit her, she wouldn’t have even thought of it as an attack, but as a bug landing on her.
The wind continued to fly toward Elder Jiandan Zhou. As he looked at the wind approach he felt his heart and mind become empty, as if it had been left behind in the endless void. The feeling of loneliness washed over him, and he no longer had the motivation to fight any longer.
The wind was upon him in less than the blink of an eye and smashed into him. Even if he did want to fight, he would still be unable to do anything to defend from this wind. He coughed up a mouthful of blood and landed hard onto the ground.
When he landed on the ground he didn’t even move. It wasn’t that he was dead, but he felt so abandoned that he didn’t want to do anything anymore, not even get up from the ground. He just laid there with blood dripping from his mouth and looking up at the sky above him.
The sky seemed gray and dark. The world was still and gray. No wind blew and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. No trees were in the area and the grass didn’t sway at all. The world around him grew darker, getting dimmer as he looked up into the sky. Elder Jiandan Zhou felt as if his entire being was being abandoned.
‘Hmm… Not torturous enough. But it will do for now. I’ll have plenty of time to slowly work on him. No need to rush things right now.’ The cold smile she had had never left her face. ‘I’m sure that someone will be sent to find traces of him. I’ll just slaughter them if they come. Hopefully that will get this war started faster so I can have some fun.
It’s been getting boring around here lately. Just a bit more time and I’ll be able to let loose some tension.’ As Sect Leader Fu was speaking she waved a hand toward Elder Jiandan Zhou where a gray magical symbol appeared and flew into his forehead.
Elder Jiandan Zhou trembled and a gray light began to shine out of him. He stood up and walked toward Sect Leader Fu. His eyes were blank and were fully gray, it was as if his life was completely gone from him.

‘Well time to see if these sects and clans have the gall to send somebody to cause some more trouble for my sect. Now I have no need to have the next person live.’ Sect Leader Fu turned around and the gray world changed into the space of Red Cloud Hall. As she walked up to her throne and sat down, Elder Jiandan Zhou followed behind.
“Why didn’t you kill him? Do you have something you wish to do with him?” Second Elder’s voice rang out. “You can let me in can’t you? Is it to… pleasure yourself? You can tell me, just the two of us here. Hehe.”
Sect Leader Fu’s face immediately blushed red and her eye twitched. “N… NO! It’s nothing like that at all! Second Elder, why do you tease so much! I would rather deal with Third Elder spying on the girls than having to deal with you!” Sect Leader Fu gave a loud harrumph and disappeared from the throne.
Second Elder just smiled as she left and let out a light laugh. “Haha! She’s still so insecure over these things.” She looked over at Elder Jiandan Zhou who was standing off to the side. ‘The mortals on this planet are so inferior when it comes to looks. To think she would storm off even when I’m talking about someone as ugly as this individual.’ She turned around and then disappeared as well, leaving Elder Jiandan Zhou standing alone.
Ming Clan Holy Beast Kingdom
Two figures could be seen facing each other in an arena. They both wore pure white robes that glittered in the light. Their faces were calm and their eyes were closed. It was quiet to the point that one could hear their own blood moving through their body. All of a sudden the younger figure snapped their eyes open and waved a hand into the air.
“Blood Snow Tempest.” The figure said cooly. The voice was beautiful as it carried through the air, along with a sharp snowy wind. The snowy wind raced toward the figure ahead in an attempt to shred that figure into pieces.
Even as the wind approached, the figure still had their eyes closed. The wind surrounded the figure and quickly transformed into a tempest. The sharp snow wrapped around the figure threatening to turn them into shreds.
As the wind enveloped the figure they finally opened their eyes and waved a finger. The wave of a finger caused the Blood Snow Tempest to tremble violently and then break apart from the inside out. That wasn’t all though, as a shard of ice that was three meters long appeared above the figures head.
The shard of ice, however, looked like a finger. It was a three meter long finger that waved in the air from side to side. The finger then pointed straight at the other figure and stabbed straight for them. It brought an extreme coldness with it that froze the ground and the air as it passed by. It also moved at a shocking speed that made it almost impossible to avoid.
It came straight at the figure and right before it touched the figure it stopped. Then it just broke apart and glittered away. Along with the destruction of the ice finger came a voice. “Ming Lu, you have to focus more on applying bitter coldness into your attacks. Only then will you be able to unleash a new level of strength from your attacks. Right now, they are just too weak, no wonder you lost out to that Xiun Wu.” The voice was calm yet also seemed displeased.
Ming Lu had blood dripping out of a corner of her mouth. “I will remember your words elder brother Ming Fei. Please show me some more.” She asked politely as possible. She had truly began to realize how far she had been slacking in terms of cultivating when she saw how easily Xiun Wu had broken through her attack.
It wasn’t the fact that her cultivation wasn’t high enough, but it was the fact that she couldn’t fully understand how to properly use the magic she was taught. Now that had ‘gone’ back to her clan she immersed herself in training to become stronger and discover how to use it fully.
Ming Fei nodded his head and closed his eyes once more. Ming Lu readied herself and closed her eyes as well. The air in the arena instantly dropped multiple degrees in that instant.
Off to the side Ming Xu stood watching the training take place. She was immersed in Ming Lu’s way of life right now. She had completely changed once they had come back to their clan. Secretly she thought to herself, ‘She’s trying to hide it… but I know she’s doing this for me.’ Ming Xu then turned and left.
Ming Lu slightly opened one of her eyes and looked at Ming Xu walk away. ‘I won’t ever let you get hurt again.’ A tear formed in her eye and fell to the ground. She quickly closed her eye however and went back to training.
