《Forsaking Reality》Chapter 128: Ultimate Power

Peizhi Xiuying looked deeply at Akata before saying coldly, “What do you mean I can’t beat you like this? This is my most powerful form.” Part of her was agitated that Akata would call her weak, especially right now. But another part was cautious at the fact that she had showed this form yet Akata wasn’t even flustered or curious.
‘Why is he so calm right now? Could he have been expecting this to happen? If so how? He shouldn’t have any knowledge about this… unless.” Peizhi Xiuying’s eyes went slightly wide.
Akata returned to his normal height and simply said, “Attack me at your full strength.” He said confidently. “Don’t hold back I want to see all that you have. You know we can’t get hurt so there’s no need to hold back.” Akata simply stood there with his hands behind his back.
Peizhi Xiuying gave a “Humph.” Before gathering her energy and unleashing a strong attack. “Fifth Petal Transformation: Yin Corrosion.” A black petal appeared in front of Peizhi Xiuying’s hand. The petal then turned to dust and began to light up with black light. The light was resplendent and brought an utterly cold sensation.
The temperature in the area instantly plummeted. The air seemed to freeze along with the ground and nearby water. The black light seemed to glow brighter and an air of destruction could faintly be felt rising within it. With a thrust of her hands forward, the black light shot forward in a berserk unbridled manner.
Akata simply looked at it as it approached his body. He held up his arm, not his regular arm, but his golden plant arm. This was the first time he had shown it since getting it. He raised his arm toward the incoming blast. It wasn’t a light blast either but was backed by the full power of Peizhi Xiuying’s 8th Grade cultivation base.
Peizhi Xiuying was still five meters tall so the beam that she launched was equally large as well. It was bigger than Akata himself. Yet he faced it with absolute calmness. He rotated his crimson rune inside of him and crimson light showed out of his golden arm.
‘Souls exist in everything. Khaos exists everywhere. This crimson rune of mine is a soul rune yet there is also a bit of khaos within it that I can utilize as well. Her form is fairly new and this attack must be something she just gained enlightenment of. It isn’t under her complete control just yet, so I should be able to do this.’
With his hand outstretched and the crimson light surrounding it, Akata made a grasping motion. This motion sent out the crimson light to blast against the black light. The reason Akata did this was because that black light was actually the Outer Element of Yin. He was going against the element with his own element.

He sent it through his plant arm because just like that yin element was laced with nature energy, so was his soul element. The nature energy within the element became stronger once gone through his plant arm.
The two elements collided and formed a sort of black sun with crimson flickers. This happened because of the nature energy that was mixed in with the elements from the two attacks. The yin element was able to make the nonexistent, illusory things in the universe and bring them into the world. The soul element was able to control the origin of life in all things in the universe. They were completely different elements but thanks to the resonation of nature energy, they were essentially combining together.
Akata wasn’t done, however, as he clenched his plant hand into a fist. This action made the black sun shrink to the size of a head in an instant. The power of the sun decreased drastically.
Peizhi Xiuying’s eyes went wide in an instant. She felt the power of the sun decrease dramatically, but what made her shocked was to find that it wasn’t as simple as that. ‘He… He consumed some of my yin element! How is that possible?’ She felt that the yin element she had sent out had disappeared into the element it was clashing with. ‘Just what element is that?!’
Akata waved his hand and the sun essentially disappeared from sight. ‘I can’t absorb it into power?’ Akata kept calm on the surface but inwardly he was sighing. He still didn’t know much about this soul rune of his. All he was completely sure of was the fact it was definitely mysterious.
‘So what if he can stop my attack as easy as flipping a hand. That doesn’t mean I’m no match for him.’ Peizhi Xiuying gritted her teeth and was about to unleash another attack when she felt a great sensation of crisis. She focused her gaze on the spot where the black sun had just disappeared.
All of a sudden a crimson light with faint violet sparks appeared. It grew and grew until it was a meter in size. This light seemed to draw Peizhi Xiuying’s gaze toward it and caused fear to swell up within her. Sweat began to form on her forehead and her original cold face became filled with terror.
“Wha… What is this thing? How can it put pure fear in my heart? No. An 8th Grade cultivator shouldn’t be capable of doing this. It’s impossible! How can you do this Akata?!” Peizhi Xiuying called out, her voice trembling.

Akata stood with his arm pointed toward the crimson light. The sun had never really disappeared, Akata had just consumed all of the yin element in the sun which cut off all of Peizhi Xiuying’s connection to it. With that he changed the soul element and made it one with the surrounding nature energy. That way it would be hard for Peizhi Xiuying to detect.
Once that was done he used what bit of insights he had into khaos and made that energy explosive on a whole other level. Combined with the soul element it brought that explosiveness and put it completely under his control. Doing this little actually drained Akata of a lot of energy. His face paled but it still looked completely calm.
He waved his hand forward and sent that crimson-violet light shooting toward Peizhi Xiuying. It didn’t really have an intense pressure that crushed down on everything like the Astral Obliteration. It had more of a feeling of overwhelming power and authority. It made it feel like no matter what was done, this couldn’t be stopped at all.
Peizhi Xiuying took one look at this and she couldn’t stop shaking. A smile was upon her face as she watched it come closer to her. The trembling seemed to come unconsciously and without thought, but she was actually quite calm right now. ‘So that’s why I can never beat him. He’s just too strong.’ Peizhi Xiuying closed her eyes and the crimson-violet light engulfed her body.
She opened her eyes and looked over at Akata who was sitting on the bed. He soon opened his eyes and looked over at Peizhi Xiuying. Her eyes were warm when they looked at him. Akata smiled and said, “Thanks for the battle!”
“Same. What was that?” Peizhi Xiuying immediately asked. She had even used her other form to fight Akata and was immediately defeated by Akata with ease. That kind of power was truly terrifying.
Akata looked deeply at her with a thoughtful expression. “Hmm. If you tell me what that was then I’ll tell you.” He gave a faint smile and said.
Thinking of the pros and cons, Peizhi Xiuying hesitatingly said, “Nevermind then. It’s best to keep these kind of secrets to ourselves.”
Akata just shrugged his shoulders, not caring either way. His ‘secret’ was just control over the Outer Elements of Souls and Khaos. Besides that, he had some guesses as to what Peizhi Xiuying’s secret was.
“I’m thinking that it was a secret art that lets her combine with her plant and unleash a great amount of power for a period of time. What do you think about it?” Akata asked Noluck.
“I can definitely tell that she isn’t a true plant cultivator like you or me. So that seems to be the only option left. But, it’s just that the only people that have access to techniques like this are monstrously powerful sects.
This sect on the outside and even sometimes on the inside doesn’t even seem to be strong at all. But the techniques and trials and other things that they have access to makes it seem otherwise. Maybe this was once a truly powerful sect that declined to what it is today. They could just be using all the resources they have left in order to make sure they will survive this war.” Noluck simply stated.
“Mn. That sounds possible.” Akata agreed.
“Humph. I’m still just waiting on a worthy opponent for me. How about you try your luck?” Jiandan Fuza spoke highly.
Akata snapped back into reality and looked at Jiandan Fuza calmly. “Eh? Well if you-”
“I’ll take you on. Akata you can just watch. There’s no need to dirty your hands.” Peizhi Xiuying said coldly.
Jiandan Fuza simply looked over and chuckled. “So you finally wish to fight me? Haha! Excellent. I’ve been waiting to battle the new second strongest cultivator since you earned that title. Time to see if everyone below me really is trash. Come come let’s start right now.” He closed his eyes and waited for Peizhi Xiuying to get ready.
“Humph. Akata you can connect to our battle just so you can view. Just do the same thing as before but connect to me and Jiandan Fuza.” With that she closed her eyes.
Akata was quite curious about Jiandan Fuza. He had been number 1 in the sect before he left and even after he got back he was still considered number 1. Obviously he had to have some skill for him to be considered that. Akata closed his eyes and began to connect mentally to Peizhi Xiuying and Jiandan Fuza.
Before they were all connected, however, a voice interrupted them. “Can I join in with you guys?” A soft voice rang into the ears of the three of them.
