《Forsaking Reality》Chapter 155: Crushed

The gold and crimson light radiating from Akata was very mysterious and profound. The fairy had no idea what it was capable of but just seeing it made Akata’s danger level rise dramatically. The fairy thought Akata was already dangerous before, but now, he became a huge threat.
‘What is wrong with these children?! They’re only at the First Rank and I’m at the Second Rank but just them standing there is pressuring me to this extent. It should be utterly impossible.’ The fairy became enraged as he thought about the presence that mere First Rank kids were giving off. With a roar, translucent wings appeared behind his back and he flew into the air.
Glittering motes of light fell from his wings as he hovered above the leaders. “A bunch of trash! You all deserve to die!” The fairy waved his hand in the air and hundreds of leaves appeared around him. The leaves rolled up and became sharp spikes as they aimed toward the group of five.
“Draining Leaf Rain!” The fairy howled and pointed toward the group. With a 'whoosh' the hundreds of leaf spikes shot toward the group with a shocking speed. Each and every leaf was a meter long and carried a shocking amount of vitality within. Even as they descended, life energy was steadily absorbed by them in the air.
Of course, Akata and the others weren’t just going to stand and watch as the spikes pummeled them. Peizhi Xiuying and Fang Zuwa were the first to disappear as they could combine with their Yin Mist and Mental Corrosion Fog respectfully. Even if the number of leaf spikes were bigger, as long as it didn’t completely destroy their domains in one shot they would essentially be completely safe.
Sno Re raised his four arms as blinding silver light sprang up around him. The silver light condensed under his feet and soon the form of a wolf could be seen. The light solidified and the wolf fully manifested under his body. The wolf looked sinister and cold and it had the presence of an all around powerhouse. It looked peerless as if nothing in the world could match its superiority. With a low growl the wolf suddenly sped off.
Cho Re raised his four arms as golden light radiated from his body. Instantly the light condensed into the form of a lion. The lion’s mane was completely golden and it looked to be the king of the surrounding area. The golden aura radiating from it made it out to be a supreme being under the sun. Cho Re hopped onto the lion and also sped off.
Everyone made the decision to dodge this furious attack that was created from pure hatred. That was because even though they had confidence in fighting this fairy who was in the Second Rank, none of them felt sure that they could take a full blown attack from someone in the Second Rank head on. After all, the strongest amongst them weren’t even at the peak of the First Rank. It could be seen as the logical choice to want to avoid this attack as best as they could and dodge it.

But… logic didn’t apply in Akata’s case. He stood in the same place staring at the incoming hundreds of leaf spikes that were hurtling towards him with reckless might. “Humph.” He gave a cold snort as he raised his fist and prepared to throw a punch out.
The fairy was delighted upon seeing this. He originally thought all of them would scatter and that would give him a chance to take care of them one by one. But who would’ve thought that one of them overestimated his abilities and sought to take his attack head on? He was simply looking to die and early death. ‘That takes care of one.’ He thought to himself as a smug smile surfaced across his face. But soon that smile vanished as his mouth hung open with disbelief.
An illusory rock appeared in front of Akata’s fist and the power coming from it was insane. It created an unthinkable pressure that even made the fairy want to back away. He simply couldn’t believe this kind of power was being created from the boy who wasn’t even 14 yet.
“Wha… What technique is this?! This kind of power should be impossible to create at your level. It has the pressure of a Second Rank cultivator.” The fairy blanched and shock emanated from his entire body.
Boom! Akata threw his punch out and instantly a wave of overpowering pressure engulfed the surrounding area. Many of the leaf spikes were thrown away or were destroyed in the clash of energy. The energy of the fist was abundant and simply not somthing that a First Rank cultivator shouldn't be capable of. Although it was very powerful it still wasn't up to par in a clash against a true terchnique used by a Second Rank cultivator. It wasn’t enough to overpower the whole thing.
Many of the leaf spikes were thrown away and lost their energy or were destroyed in the clash, but even then, two-thirds of the leaf spikes still remained. With Second Rank might they carried on and struck all over the place.
Si. Si. Si. Hundreds of leaf spikes were embedded into the ground and the area encompassing them started to become lifeless. Akata frowned at this scene as he could tell that the life energy was being sucked up from the leaves. Grass turned gray and withered while even the mist and fog were being slowly drained of their life energy.
Even though his attack still managed to split the group up and even connect with the ground, the fairy had furrowed brows. ‘That energy that he unleashed should’ve been sucked up from draining leaves but it didn’t. That can only mean two things, one, his attack was too strong and my draining leaves weren’t capable of breaching it, or two, there was no life within his attack to begin with. The former isn’t possible because he clearly couldn’t overpower my attack so that can only mean his attack held no life within it at all.’

What did this mean? It meant that the fairy’s attacks would be useless against Akata’s attacks. The fairy trained in the Inner Element of Leaves and the Outer Elements of Life and Yang. Because of this he created a skill that drained everything of life. As he fought, his opponent's skills would be useless as they would all crumble before his attacks, having their life energy drained from them. But since Akata’s attacks didn’t contain life energy there was no way to drain it, therefore, Akata's attacks could actually block the fairy's.
Thinking up to here the fairy became even more angry. These kids just kept on having more and more tricks up their sleeves! It was truly infuriating to him.
While the fairy was hovering in the air lost in thought, how could the leaders just give up this perfect opportunity? Peizhi Xiuying and Fang Zuwa decisively recalled their mist and fog because they sensed their life energy being absorbed.
Peizhi Xiuying suddenly and silently appeared behind the fairy as a black petal turned into dust within her palm. An intense coldness spread out and engulfed the fairy who was lost in thought, quickly alerting him of the danger. The black dust became a dark light which illuminated the already dark surroundings. A strong corrosive aura emanated from the light.
Before the fairy could turn around however, a figure covered in dense gray mist appeared in front of him in a ghostly manner. The figure was none other than Fang Zuwa and he had his hand raised in the air. Within his palm was a dense gray ball of fog that emitted an intense corrosive energy.
The two of them pointed at the fairy in front of their eyes. A black light shot forth from Peizhi Xiuying while a gray fog light was ejected from Fang Zuwa’s palm. The two attacks both contained a vicious amount of corrosive energy and when targeting one opponent, it could only be imagined what effect would befall that person.
Fifth Petal Transformation: Yin Corrosion.
Corrosive Fog Beam.
The fairy wasn’t slow to react as he was an expert who had reached the Second Rank. With a grunt a boundless aura of life and yang energy emanated from him. He spread his arms out as each palm was facing toward the two attacks. A leaf the size of a head appeared in front of each palm and started swiveling around. The fairy’s eyes were becoming bloodshot from his anger.
“Leaf Leech Beam!” The Outer Elements of Life and Yang converged on the leaves. The leaves started to glow green and they curled up into a ball. The ball started to shrink in on itself as a fearsome aura emanated from it. With a bang the ball blew apart and an intense aura of destruction shot out toward the attacks coming toward him.
The Leaf Leech Beam came into contact with the attacks but there wasn’t a huge explosion from the contact of differing energies, instead it was completely silent. The attack from the fairy was actually eating away at the two corrosive attacks and slowly dissolving them. As the Leaf Leech Beam went on it didn’t lose energy but instead slowly strengthened itself. The fairy's attack was actually eating away at the corrosive energy that came from Peizhi Xiuying and Fang Zuwa!
The fairy quickly made some incantation gestures and threw one hand in front of him and one behind as two giant leaves appeared and surrounded his body. Boom! Boom! Two attacks bounced off of the leaf shield as gold and silver light shot everywhere. He waved both of his hands and sent the two giant leaves hurtling toward Cho Re and Sno Re who just attacked him. “Godly Leaf Retribution.” The leaves stopped above the heads of Cho Re and Sno Re and began emitting a strange goldish-green light that covered their bodies. Instantly the brothers fell to the ground as a suctioning force slowly took away their life energy.
The fairy gave a cold smile as he made some more gestures and pointed toward Peizhi Xiuying and Fang Zuwa. “Grand Yaga Leaf.” Instantly a huge golden leaf appeared behind the figures of Peizhi Xiuying and Fang Zuwa. The leaf blocked off their route to escape and the only way to get away from the leaf was to move forward, toward the Leaf Leech Beam which devoured life energy.
They knew that if they touched such an attack much of their life would be drained and they would possibly die in an instant. Without much thought they sought to attack the golden leaf behind them. They each sent out a strong punch to break out quickly but soon discovered a terrifying notion.
“This leaf absorbs our life energy if we touch it.” Peizhi Xiuying’s face couldn’t help but turn pale. If anything touched the leaf then the life from that thing would be absorbed by the leaf. Not only that, the leaf was abnormally tough and wouldn’t break easily.
Akata’s face tightened and his gaze couldn’t help but lock onto the fairy who was staring right at him. The fairy had a cold smug on his face and he couldn’t help but laugh out loud. “They don’t have any methods of escaping, all of your friends will die in front of you. And there’s nothing you can do about it.”
With those words how could Akata simply stand by? A cold gleam appeared within his crimson eyes that really contrasted with his abnormally calm face. Whoosh! A crimson cloud filled with sparks of electricity and full of vitality surfaced around Akata’s body. He raised the Bludhaven Scythe in his golden plant arm and pointed it at the fairy.
“I’m. Going. To. Take. Your. Soul.”
