** Trigger Warning **
[This chapter contains scenes of physical abuse and rape. Read at your own discretion. You have been warned.]
I awoke early having barely slept. I was unable to tell what time it was from inside the basement room without windows but judging from the fact that my new companions were all still asleep I guessed that it must be before dawn yet and the day had yet to begin.
Finding myself with some extra time on my hands and not being very desirous of sleep after the nightmares that had plagued me since the night before I decided to take proper stock of myself and my surroundings. First, I inspected the collar around my neck, the rope still attached to it. It appeared to be made of simple leather and stitching with a stone set in it and a simple metal ring to which the rope was tied, but the moment I tried to pull it from my neck a horrendous pain wracked through my nervous system, so debilitating that I could not even cry out in pain. After a few moments the pain receded and I found myself on the floor again, cheek ground into the dust and stone. Pulling myself up I decided not to try removing my collar again.
After this I tried removing the rope that was attached to it, thinking that none of my master’s other slaves had a rope attached to their collar and so it might not be necessary for it to stay on. After fumbling for a few minutes with the tightly tied rope it came loose, and I threw it to the ground with disgust. At the sound of the rope thumping against the ground the old man began to stir, and he turned to look in my direction with eyes still cloudy with sleep. After a moment his eyes came into focus and he recognized who he was looking at. With a slightly pained expression on his face he said “I am called Beetle and for the time that I have left I will be teaching you what you need to know to survive as a slave of Master Silva” he then glanced at the rope on the floor and then at the collar around my neck before chuckling a bit to himself and saying “I don’t suppose you tried to remove your collar before you untied your rope did you?” He then took on a wry smile as my hand unconsciously floated up towards my neck and rubbed at the collar a bit.

“You cannot ever take off your collar, try and you will be struck with extreme pain, succeed and you will be struck dead on the spot. See this stone here?” he gestured towards the stone set in his own collar, it was a dark deep grey color and almost as smooth as glass. A person from Earth might have described it as looking similar to a smoky quartz except that there was no clear in the stone and it was totally opaque. “Only a slave trader can activate and deactivate these slave collars” he continued after giving me a moment to look at the stone on his collar. “If anyone else removes your collar you will still be killed by the spell tied into the stone. They have a special magick tool that lets them do it, other than that only certain high ranking Slaver’s Guild mages can learn the spell that they use to create the magickal tools that let anyone with just a little bit of magick activate and deactivate the collars.” After saying all of this rather quickly he began to cough dryly and could not catch his breath for over a minute. After some time had passed and he had a chance to catch his breath he continued “You should also be aware that all slave collars act as tracking devices, the rope you were tied with was only a formality, if you ever decide to run you will be tracked down and severely punished, I wouldn’t” *BANG*
There was a loud slamming noise from the passageway above and Beetle looked at the door separating them from the stairway with apprehension, struggling to his feet and lowering himself into a deep bow. Glancing at the other two I noticed that the middle aged man who had ignored me last night was also awake now and climbing quickly to his feet as he assumed the same position as Beetle, the woman on the other hand was curling herself into a ball and wrenching her eyes shut as if she thought that if she pretended to be asleep the morning would not come. After a moment I decided to imitate Beetle and the other man and dropped into a low bow facing the door. It turned out to be not a second too early as the inner door also slammed open with a second bang and there standing behind it and carrying a lamp that was painful to our light deprived eyes, its light coming from a crystal glowing brightly in the center. ‘There’s magick in this world for sure’ I thought to myself upon seeing the crystal but then quickly lowered my gaze before the elf saw me looking instead of bowing like the others.

Upon seeing the woman lying upon the ground and not yet up Sylvan began to chuckle cruelly “you don’t want to get up today Minge? Have you had enough of my special treatment and don’t want to make me happy anymore?” The girl he had called Minge had tears leaking out of her eyes and began to whimper slightly. “This simply won’t do” he continued sadistically, “if you aren’t eager to meet me in the morning, I will have to punish you for it.” Saying this he pulled a coiled whip out from his cloak and unwound it slowly before lashing it across her back, tearing a fresh hole in her already tattered sack outfit. She cried out in pain as the lash struck her but did not move. I expected the Sylvan to get angry when she still did not rise but instead his smile grew in size and cruelty and he began to lash her again and again while laughing. After a half-dozen strokes or so the battered Minge climbed painfully to her knees and began to crawl towards her master, sobbing pitifully the entire time.
As Minge reached her master, she timidly reached a hand up and began to unfasten his pants, clearly doing something that disgusted her, but Sylvan just smiled on as if this was only to be expected. As his member sprang free from his pants Minge winced a little and then gingerly took it into her mouth and began to work it with her tongue and apply suction. I couldn’t help thinking that this seemed all too rehearsed as if it was a scene that had played out many times before. After a few moments of receiving fellatio Sylvan roughly grabbed hold of the back of her head and began roughly thrusting down her throat for over a minute before suddenly holding her still as she choked on his manhood, then with a groan he suddenly threw her away from him again and she lay on the floor coughing and choking, red from being unable to breathe properly while Sylvan abused her.
Sylvan then turned towards me with his sadistic smile undiminished. “Are you ready for your first day as a piece of shit?”

Saga of the Space Marines
HARVEST! BUILD! DESTROY! Total war until annihilation. This is the story of the end of the human race. If it sounds like fun it’s because it is. The Saga relates the events and personal histories of the men of the 3rd Marine Space Expeditionary Force and their bitter MAXWAR (mutually assured eXtinction war) against the alien Krag Subjugation. Told from the view point of the warfighters on the front lines, the blue collar workers who build and maintain the infrastructure that supports them, and the scientists and engineers who develop the technologies that power their victories on the battlefield. This mission, The Maggot Colony, relates the first part of the adventure, where their capital ship, The Good Shepherd, is critically damaged, and a small force is sent to establish an outpost on the surface of a nearby planet to secure much needed emergency supplies and fuel. The situation is desperate, the fighting is brutal and the technical challenges both in space and on the planet surface seem insurmountable. Fans who enjoy the intellectual challenges and intricate storylines from real-time-strategy games such as Starcraft II or the pure destructive awesomeness of first person shooters such as Doom, Halo and Gears of War are encouraged to check out the Space Marines. It’s not for everyone, but it might be just what you are looking for.
