Don’t depend too much on anyone in this world because even your own shadow leaves you when you are in darkness
Taqî ad-Dîn A?mad ibn Taymiyyah
"Who are you!" The young boy said ferociously.
....
"Malcolm, its ok, he isn't dangerous, you can trust him," Maggie said calmly, her confident voice had calmed down the young farm boy.
"If you say so, sister..." He said, lowering his sword but still not taking his eye off the strange looking man.
"Hi, I'm David Lee," The strange boy said, gulping down saliva, a little frightened, well he just had a sword pointed at him, more importantly it was pointed at that lower region of his body... Perhaps it was because David was too tall, and this farm boy was too small. No one likes having a sword pointed at them when they had no proper protection, he had a tennis ball but was that a weapon? A tennis ball will not even do any damage to his enemy, it will only be sliced into two!
"I'm Malcolm," He said rolling his eyes at the strange shivering man, placing the short rusty sword in his hilt before crossing his arms.
The day went dawn, the suns' heat cooling down with clouds rushing in to cover the once clear blue sky. There David was sitting at the worn-down table of the Faeris family’s house, the two siblings were orphaned, their parents died a few months ago from some self-serving scummy servants of a ‘Nobles’ house.
The servants young master was dissatisfied with the clothing the parents had made and executed them on a whim, the two siblings were out hiding in the barn with the sheep herd when it happened.
David had learnt the Faeris family came from a long line of tailors, saving up enough money for Maggie to become a proper Dungeoneerer with an Arcane class. The parents didn’t want their children to follow in their footstep and become something great.
But unfortunately, during a dungeon expedition, something horrible had happened to Maggie, which she kept tight-lipped about. So, she became a tailor anyway through her subclass, making clothes out of the sheep wools and other things around their land.
David and Malcolm got along quite well after getting to know one another. He told Malcolm about tennis. Malcolm was happy to gain new knowledge, he attentively listened to the description of this ‘tennis’ and though in his face, he tried to hide the fascination and awe by keeping his expression neutral.
Malcolm was only 12 years old, he had a few levels in his class and it was time for him to get an identity card. Tomorrow was the day they were leaving to sign up for one.
David also wanted to get one, because apparently it is important to have one if you want to get into cities or exclusive buildings and shops. But he will have to owe Maggie five silver coins. He feels bad taking their money, they seem to be barely scraping by, but David vowed to return this favor ten folds. Maggie just smiled and said that it wasn’t needed, and Malcolm just pestered him to swear that he will pay fifty silvers back, so David and Malcolm shook hand as to officialize the deal.

Baaaaaaa
David found himself cuddled up against something soft and warm, it was the wool of a sheep. He was inside the old barn groping onto a warm but distressed sheep on a pile of dry dirty grass straws
"Oh crud" Feeling embarrassed, he let go of the shivering animal while patting the pile of straws stuck on his clothes. He slept deeply after a night of grinding some exp for his ball handler skill.
Finding himself outside of the barn and into the small house of the two siblings, he went ahead, knocking on the musky moldy wooden door, which Malcolm, after a few minutes, had sleepily opened the door to greet him.
After a very nice and filling breakfast with a tasty mystery meat sausage and mystery scrambled eggs, they all head out towards town.
Maggie was in her wooden wheelchair and was travelling down a ramp which led down from her house, to the ground. Malcolm steadily watch over like a good natured younger brother, pushing from behind carefully and making sure she is not going too fast or slow.
Going to town did not take long, only around an hour walk. The scenery through the walk was wonderful and breathtaking, all kinds of creature that he had not seen before were on display. Dozens of new birds that he had never seen before, one bird was golden with three wings, another had four...
Woooooosh
Malcolm suddenly had to pull out his short sword, chopping down swiftly on a rabid squirrel-like creature, it had dark red fur and a long black horn, sharp claws, quick speed, but it was chopped into two halves cleanly.
David couldn't help but feel his chest tighten after seeing blood squirt out like a fountain, filthy organs splashing out, little brain bits were all out in the open to see.
It was his first time seeing something like this, but it won't be the last. He apparently must toughen up his mentality as this will now become a common sight. He is now in a different world, but that will be harder than it sounds, as this world and his last are so vastly different. Malcolm was just playing with the ball to calm himself, gaining bonus exp on the way.
Seeing the town from afar, it looked like an ordinary town except there were a mass of wagons pulled by tall strong and masculine horses, the horses looked very terrifying and powerful as they were dark and thick with red blazing eyes. There were many people in weird dressings, full armor or robes, holding staff or swords, many unique looking people roam everywhere.
They all proceeded towards a building, the Dungeoneer building, it was the most well-crafted building out of the whole the town, two stories high with master craftsmanship, there was a small step to get into the building in which both Malcolm and himself lifted Maggie and her wheelchair through the front door.
"Ha, cripple, go back to your run-down pile of shithole" A harsh drunken voice echoed into the trio’s ears.
David turned my head frowning towards the one who made the hatefully rude comment.

"Hummpft, open up your eyes, duh," The brutish, blacked toothed man said towards David viciously while pulling his eyes to look like his with his fingers.
"You Bastard!" David had enough, and his loud voice startled everyone in the building.
He was furiously mad, shouting out in anger towards the racist bandit, he and his friends got up laughing, mocking his eyes even more. Maggie's face went icy cold, and behind the cold look was immense anger. She was about to summon her arcane abilities to back up and protect the foolish angry boy in front of her. But it was unnecessary as someone came to intervene.
This was beautiful lady around thirty years old who was armed in a majesty shiny silver battle armor, a huge black battle axe hilted onto her back which immitted intense killing aura outwards. Everyone could feel the horrifying aura that it released and backed away. She stared down the rowdy drunken group with cold eyes. This made the drunken group drop their beer and run away like frightened kittens
The main drunken culprit sent me David one last glare before running out to follow his brothers. The trio then sighed in relief as the moment was over before thanking the savior for helping them out from that situation.
David eventually calmed down, looking towards the woman. He had just realized that on her head were two snowy white fluffy bunny ears, and her eyes were deep dark purple, which was very alluring and if you stared long enough into her eyes, it feels like you were going to be sucked in.
"Ignore those idiots…. Well you get people like those everywhere, even at Obsidian Citadel, but you get used to it," She said softly, while covering her scary axe with a leather sheet which had blocked out its murderous intent before smiling at the trio. Everyone was glad to be freed of that horrifying pressure, and just continued what they were doing as if this was something common to see.
"You've been to Obsidian Citadel? The capital city of this continent where a vast number of dungeons is spawned every day? The city where experts are like fish in an ocean, the strongest Dungeoneerers all meet up there!" Malcolm said with bright shining eyes, jumping up with joy and awe at this half human half beast woman.
"Yes, I had just came down from there, too much competition, so I'm travelling around to different towns and trying their dungeons… So, young boy, are you getting your identity card?" She said taking a guess randomly
"Yes, me and David Lee over here" Malcolm said happily while pointing to the tall boy beside him.
"Hmmm... aren’t you a little too old to just get one now?" She said towards David, but before he could respond, a soft warm voice interjected quickly.
"He lost his old one, and I'm helping him get a new one" Said Maggie, pulling out an old pouch filled with a few silver coins. The bunny eared woman had then noticed the girl sitting behind them, her breathe quickened in haste because this girl was even more beautiful than her.
"Eh... well you guys are lucky to have met me, so I'll pay for you two boys identity card." The bunny eared woman said happily while blushing shyly away from Maggie. Though she briefly judged David as a weird freak from just looking at his laughable attire.
There was no time for refutes as the bunny-eared woman had already went towards the counter, taking out ten sparkling silver coins for the two boys to take an official dungeon identity card test.
The young female attendant had called the two boys over while pulling out a light bluish crystal dome.
This was an Identity Crystal, bought from the Dungeon Store. Anyone can get these if they have the right Dungeoneering level, but every branch of Dungeoneering Guild had to have one. The accountant lady placed a blank card, from the dungeon store, she placed it inside crystal dome, there was weirdly a card slot for it to fit in perfectly.
"Place your hands-on top for a few minutes" She said towards the two boys.
Malcolm went first, he placed his hands onto the crystal, feeling excited as he saw the artefact flashed white in an instant, it was buzzing considerably, computing the information from the human before it.
After a few minutes, the crystal went back to blue, a card popped out like a bread out of a toaster, heated up.
The accountant waited for it to cool down before recording the details in a crystal tablet, she then gave the card to Malcolm who snatched it impatiently.
Malcolm Faeris / Age 12
Human / Dungeoneering: [Level 1]

David was then called up to try after the accountant had placed another black card into the crystal artefact. Nervously placing his hands onto the hard crystal, it turned bright white, but after a few seconds, the crystal went from bright white to sparkling gold briefly before turning back to blue.
She took out the card, trembling in shock, looking at the card than towards the tall boy, over and over. She couldn't help but tremble while recording down the details before handing the card down to the boy respectfully, bowing down before running off to the back of the room, heading upstairs and disappearing in a flash.
"Eh, that was weird... Let us see your card" Said Malcolm curiously, Maggie also looked forward to it, so did the bunny-eared woman.
David Lee / Age 18
Human / Dungeoneering Level [Level 1]
Title: [Ball Handler]
Class: Nil
Subclass: Nil
Average Attribute: F [Green]
"A Title!" The battle-hardened bunny woman shouted out in shock, which caused the whole building to pause in silences, everyone then turned towards the shy human who had no idea how much a title means in this world.

Elania, Arachne in a different world
Does have GL subplot later on. Warning: Since some people do not seem to get the slice of life idea, this story is SLOW. There is action and I intend to write more of it but don't come here expecting it to be the focus 24/7. A young woman from Earth wakes up in a cave, disoriented, confused, amnesic and with her lower body replaced by that of a giant spider. She has no idea what she stumbled into and all the extra sensations were definitely not helping. "Did I get reincarnated into a fantasy world?" She's not quite sure. But, the goblin, the troll and (soon enough) the hot elf all suggest "yes." As much as it creeps her out, her new body is powerful and flexible in some very interesting 'spidery' ways as she slowly learns to live with it. Combined with what modern knowledge she can still remember, the newly christened Elania soon finds herself building a new life as an adventurer among the elves. Who knows what awaits her? Maybe, just maybe, she might even find happiness along the way. There will be a fair amount of errors in writing up until chapter 43 (where I got a proper proofreader/editor to help me out.) Chapters 1-20 or so will at some point receive partial rewriting because I don't quite like the flow and feel there are some parts that don't make as much sense as they should. Please don't suggest edits for chapters up until 43, anything after that, feel free to in case we missed anything. Find me on discord at : https://discord.gg/TqFjdv8uaE
