After school Mao’s butler came to pick him. Today was just a tour so nothing much really happened. He did meet most of his teachers through. When he got home today he went straight to his room. He grabbed the beast cube in his pocket and release the egg back out.

The egg has grown in size. This beautiful egg was about one foot tall and six inches wide. As much Lintian would love to carry it around with him the size simply just made it near impossible. Without looking weird or suspicious anyway. Also normally when a contract is complete it would immediately hatch, but there are circumstances where it takes time.

Lintian cultivated for the whole day today and only went out to eat lunch, dinner and visit his new mother. The next day at school nothing strange happened. He went to school and studied math, science, language, and introduction to cultivation theories. Dr. Harris was pretty care free. He taught the subjects but most of the time he would have the students ponder on the questions. He was also always about ten minutes late to his classes.

Another week and a half passed and everything seems to be settling down. Lintian visits his mother every day. He would tell her everything that he did in school and she would be really happy. She was getting better little by little. Her skin color was coming back. Her muscles were also returning. She can walk a little now.

That night when he went to sleep something strange was happening in the middle of the night. Lintian’s wrist began to burn intensely.

“Ouch!” screamed Lintian. His body shot up. His left arm grabbed his right wrist trying to calm it down. The pain wasn’t that bad. It was a strange throbbing and burning sensation. His scream came from a surprise pain.

The door opened up and Mao came through. Surprised by the sudden intrusion, Lintian hid his right hand. There was no fluctuation of qi so Mao wasn’t really suspicious of anything.

Mao looked at Lintian and asks, “Are you ok?”

“Huh? Oh yeah. It was just a nightmare. Sorry for waking you up,” Lintian said and cover himself back up with the blanket and pretended to go back to sleep.

“Do you want me to stay?”

“No it’s all good. I feel better now.” This throbbing pain sensation was moving up his arm like a snake.

“Ok good night. Call me if you need anything. I am just down stairs.”

“Ok dad,” Lintian said trying to hold back that pain.

Mao closed the door and left. Lintian held back the throbbing pain for a couple more minutes until he heard Mao closes his bedroom door downstairs.

The pain was getting worse and the beast box was glowing. Is it the egg hatching? Lintian thought. He quickly grabs the box from under his pillow and let the egg out. The egg was glowing and strange symbols were coiling around his right hand. Black lines zig zag across his wrist. Turning darker and darker. The blue lines coiling around the egg began to glow and absorb the fire symbols on the egg inside. Then it began to expand. The whole egg was now the color of the setting sun along the horizon. His right hand was moving closer and closer to the egg. Lintian has no control over it. When his palm touched the egg this throbbing pain subsided. The strange zigzag around his arm moves to his finger tips and seems to be unlocking invisible locks on the egg. It moves back five seconds later.

The feeling after that was weird. He felt like his qi was being sucked out. It was like there is an invisible tunnel at the end of his palm and qi was just leaving his body. This all happen internally so others could not detect what was going on. Half his qi was gone. Slowly more and more left. Lintian was a little afraid now. He tried to get rid of the egg but the suction force was to strong and he couldn’t resist.

“We already have a contract so nothing bad should happen right?” Lintian questions himself.

When nine tenth of all of Lintian’s energy was absorbed it stopped and let Lintian go. The egg set back down onto the bed. Then a repulsion force spread out from within it. It spread out so big that everything within a 10 mile diameter could feel it. Then it began to absorb everyone’s energy within a 10 mile diameter. It was a smooth absorption so everyone asleep could not feel it happening. Those who were awake were too afraid to do anything and ran the opposite way. It was 5am anyway. Mao was already back asleep after he checked up on Lintian. He was simply too tired to care and was dreaming a beautiful dream right now. Since there were no killing intent.

Lintian looks at the egg in amazement. All the energy flowing in was enough to enter the heavens realm in matters of minutes. Five minutes went by and then it stopped glowing. Then a big flash of light appeared. The light beam shot upwards passing through everything. The beam of light was the size of his room everyone within a distance of 1000 miles could see it. The force was so large that everything within 100 miles felt it but those asleep just felt it in their dreams. Since no danger could be felt from it.

The light then disappears and the egg began to crack. You can hear a tiny sound resounding inside. Like a purring and chirping noise combine. A tiny hole appeared on the surface of the egg. One piece of shell fell off and another piece fell off.

Lintian could make out a tiny head and eyes inside the egg. He wants to help break it open but he remembers his uncle’s warning. Never help a beast break its own egg. It would be detrimental to his future growth.

Its cute little head popped out from the crack, but he still couldn’t get out. His eyes seem huge compare with its head. His skin was smooth and pink. It’s little dragon mouth started to purr looking at Lintian. The egg seems like it couldn’t support the weight and rolls over face palming the little dragon onto the bed. Lintian couldn’t help but giggle at it.

It seems to be mad and release a small amount of qi and the whole egg popped opened. Shards of shell flew everywhere. It lays on the bed tired. It had the body of a dragon and there were two really tiny horns on its naked head. Its arms tiny arms flopped out on the bed. There were one pair of wings that were bird like without feathers.

It tried to get up but slumps back down. This was a combination of being newly born and the bed being soft. It touches one of the shield pieces. It turn into energy and flows into the little dragon. Seeing this Lintian hops out of the bed and gathered up all the shell pieces and puts it right in front of the little dragon. Strands after stands of energy began to flow into the little dragon.

Now for a name Lintian thought.

“Little dragon how about dalong?” asked Lintian.

It looks at Lintian like he’s half retarded. His head shook back and forth like he was saying hell no.

“Xiao Long?”

His head shook saying no.

“Pewpewpie?”

His head shook furiously and growling like saying god no what kind of g*y name is that?

“Xiao Hong?”

No.

“Handsome dragon?”

No!

After a long list of no and nearly getting bitten he finally remembers his dream.

“How about Kyuri?”

His eyes rose up and his head shook up and down in acceptance. Lintian didn’t know what his real name was since in the dream he could not understand the dragon’s speech. He did catch his father’s name Kyurima so why not give him the name Kyuri like his father. Since little dragon doesn’t like any of his other names. Lintian sat their pouting.

“Kyuri it is then. From now on Kyuri we are going to be together forever. Let me go get you some food you must be hungry.”

Lintian ran to the refrigerator and got out some chicken, vegetable and beef. For the rest of the night Lintian did not get any sleep and played with the little guy until school began. Afterwards he used the beast box to hide Kyuri.
