《Asura》Chapter 29-Spell Master

After eating with everyone they separated up. The children all brought Yukira back to her room before leaving. Yuki said that some of her friends from school were going out to shop later and left. Surprisingly parents let their 8 year olds out unsupervised. Tsuna was in a terrible mood and said he was going back to his room to train. Lintian said goodbye to everyone and snuck out into the forest. It was around 4 or 5 o clock when he left. It took about half an hour before Lintian was able to get to the destination point. He tried to avoid most of the tier 1 and 2 beast in the outer edge of the forest. He did this by jumping from tree to tree.
Lintian sat on a tree at the destination point and lazily looked around. He releases Kyuri from the beast box. Kyuri in two days time has grow 4 inches bigger. The body seems to have also gotten stronger. The feathers on the wings have grown out beautifully. Lintian moves his hand onto the feathers on his body and checked the little guy’s cultivation. To Lintian’s surprise the little guy was already on the third stage of the refinement realm. A surprise of delight surge across Lintian’s eyes.
Lintian stayed in the tree and took a little nap as Kyuri stood guard. Lintian’s body was still tired from the continued use of qi. It is like that feeling when you go out and train your muscles. After you do so many reps of a certain exercise that the muscles tire itself out even with rest.
Lintian fell into a deep sleep on the tree and enters into the dream orb world. Two new clones of himself appeared. One clone operated the Soul Penetrating Fist martial art and the other operated the Dancing Moonlight body skill. The dancing Moonlight body skill were being customize to Lintian’s style as it repeated it’s motion over and over again. While the Soul Penetrating fist was creating loud sonic booms every time it is executed.
Seeing, that this is the dream space he began trying to get the timing down for the punch.

In the real world an hour passed and Dr. Harris arrived. He was twenty minutes early. Lintian in the dream space saw Dr. Harris’s presence in the dream space and woke himself up. Kyuri stayed hidden in the trees. When Lintian woke up he hopped down from the tree.
“Lintian you're here early,” chuckle Dr. Harris.
“Wanted to get some fresh air,” Lintian said.
“Since your here early lets get started. The reason I picked this area is because of the tusk boards. They are usually tier 1 beast with some exception of being tier 2. On the way over I located 26 tier 1 and 7 tier 2. They are extreme loners for demonic beast. Since your still in the stage 2 of the refinement realm I will help you hunt them down. I don’t know how high of a tier you can absorb right now but we will start with the bottom and work our way up.”
“Dr. Harris thanks, for your help but my mom and dad said not to absorb any demonic beast I can’t kill myself. So if you can just watch over my safety that would be awesome,” Lintian interrupted, thinking back to the wolf situation.
“They were trying to keep you completely safe. So no one would discover your Asura veins. Also the fact that you might try to get a tier to high and damage your veins. Since even if a demonic beast has died a little bit of their soul residue are still left behind. The reason I can help you hunt is tier one are perfectly fine for you to absorb or else what tier are you going to absorb. I won’t be hunting for you since theres also a limit as how much you can absorb a day. You will hunt yourself but I will do the final blow if need be.”
“Oh ok,” answered Lintian since most of what he said sounded reasonable.
“Now the boar’s skin are extremely tough and since you have not master the Soul Penetrating punch it will be hard for you to kill them. Due to that I have prepared a sword for you already.”

“Ah,” Lintian was about to say something but then shuts himself up. There was no need for people to know about the heaven qi knife.
“This sword is imbedded with my Martial Realm qi. It should be enough to penetrate it,” he said as he pulled out a two feet long sword from his inter-spatial ring. There was a purple gem near the center of the handle. This gem is where the qi comes from. “This sword should last about 6 to 7 of those tier one boars. Also I forgot to tell you before that you need to keep a secret from others is that I am a spell master too. I have also set up a formation on the sword to make it extra sturdy and sharp.”
“Oh ok. Is it hard to be a spell master?” asked Lintian.
“Yes and no. If your talented in the arena then being a level one spell master is not hard but if you are not it would be a waste of time. Usually one in ten thousand would have talent in the field. Whether you can get pass each leave requires hard work, talent, luck, understanding and more hard work. Next week I will be testing you, Alex, and Celyis in whether you have talent in it or not. Right now I won’t tell you what level I am at since there is no need for you to know at the moment.”
“Ok, Dr. Harris. Lets go fine a boar,” Lintian said excited as he took the sword. Lintian does not realize what a formation master does. He believes that everyone can do it since in the Zhang family there were around 50 spell masters in the family. So to him it seems like everyone can do it and it was either you like it or you don’t.
They both roamed through the forest for about 5 minutes when they meant a tier one boar. Dr. Harris quickly conceals his qi so the boar thinks he is in the refinement realm. This is so it doesn't get scared.
Anger flash across the boar’s eyes and it began to charge. Lintian saw the charge and it was considerably slower than the one he faced before. Added the fact that he is already use to their movements Lintian does not even feel threaten by it. Instead he operated the Dancing moonlight body skill and dodged it. He then took the sword and stabbed it toward the heart. Not realizing that heaven realm qi and martial realm qi were worlds apart. The sword on managed to prick a wound on the beast. The penetration of the wound was too slow so Lintian didn’t bother with it and retreated. Therefore only leaving a prick size wound. Also when the sword came in contact with the boar the formation set by Harris were buzzing but the penetration was still extremely slow for this kind of battle. Lintian felt like he just took a stick and was trying stab through a tank of honey with it. Due to this Lintian was forced to pull out the sword and increase their distant. The sword only managed to cut 4 inches into the boar.
This boar was apparently a little smarter than the other boars decide to run away after that. It felt the chill of death upon him. Dr. Harris was a bit amazed by Lintian graceful movements. Normally a person would only be able to move like that upon entering the martial realm. Dr. Harris has traveled all over the world and has seen many talented kids so Lintian’s performance came as a bit of a surprise but not extremely amazing.
Harris saw that the boar was trying to escape and mercilessly used the soul penetrating fist on the forehead.
BANG!
No outer damaged could be see but the boar fell over and onto the ground spasming out for a bit before it grew silent.

Thorns of Jade [A Progression Fantasy LitRPG Adventure]
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Solo Leveling meets Chainsaw Man in this fun new LitRPG Series To become the king of Kissen, Noah Hearts trains to become the strongest swordsman in the world. The only problem — he can’t use Aura at all! Everything changes when he’s left for dead in a forest on the Kissen Fields… In a world where horrific creatures known as “demons” terrorize mankind, those who wield the mysterious force known as “aura” are the only ones who can fight them. These fighters call themselves the “Wolves of Haven”, and strive to create a world where demons no longer roam their lands! Though Noah Hearts is an exceptional swordfighter for a young man, his total inability to use aura means he could never hope to defeat the demons! Despite this major setback, he still hopes to become the king of Kissen and create a better world for those in his country! As he walks home from his daily training, his world is shifted upside down when he sees a few familiar faces in his home… This is the first draft of what I want to be a 9 volume series. I'll be editing, rewriting, and releasing the volumes on Amazon once they're finished. I'll admit, I'm finishing chapters in sprints because I want to participate in the writathon (Apr. 2022) so I apologize if there are some issues with the prose. Point them out to me and I'll fix them! Anyway, I have no backlog, but I plan on uploading chapters as I finish them. I don't want to spend weeks re-editing and never publishing like I used to, so I'm just gonna post when it's done. Like I said, this story is my take on a mix between solo leveling and chainsaw man. Specifically, the MC is the only one that can consciously level up (sort of), and the plot is fast paced and emotional just like chainsaw man. There are plenty of other inspirations, like HxH, Jojo, JJK, Cradle, and even FF6, but the first two are the biggest. Basically, if you don't like Shounen stuff, this probably isn't the story for you. Regardless, I hope you all like the story!

REAL
An ancient hunchback named Finnel is the principal of a school where students’ special abilities might be called magical, supernatural powers. Or, maybe those students’ heightened attributes are more like honed talents any ordinary person could discover and dedicate to developing. Either way, at Finnel's school, even the most otherworldly of traits always finds its source in something REAL . . . in actual human capacities, like intuition, empathy, awareness, strength... REAL is a series of ongoing tales, each centered around an individual student at Finnel's school. Framing slice-of-life authenticity with cool powers and uplifting humor, REAL maintains a light, fun tone while never shying away from digging down deep into weighty themes like identity, connection, and meaning.
