Chapter 46-XingXing
Lintian opens his eyes and he was in the dream space.
“Ugh,” his voice let out, “what was that?”
He looks around inside his dream space. He saw his three clones practicing the three moves over and over again. A little bit further away sat a tier two boar.
“Lintian you're finally here,” a familiar voice sounded out.
“Mr. Rashu you're here? I thought you were in the pendent,” Lintian said in surprise.
“Haha I am. Your parents really do have some treasures. A soul pendent and a somnium informis.”
“Somi inför what?” Lintian asked.
“Somniun informis its that bracelet you were wearing.”
“Oh the dream orb,” Lintian said excitedly.
“Yes, the dream orb. I’m surprise you have both in your possession. Many would kill to get those treasures.”
“All the pendent does is record memories and the dream orb lets me practice martial art skills when I’m sleeping. It also lets my mom place formations inside and stuff,” Lintian said scratching his head.
“That is but only a tip of the iceberg. The pendent here can trap souls inside here or better yet consciousness. I can actually also feed on its energy to keep my soul alive. I am assuming your parents probable gave it to you incase one day you do go berserk. Sadly I just used it.”
“Its fine. I still have a long way to go before I open up all the meridian points anyway.”
“As an apology I will tell you one of the secrets of the somnium informis or dream orb that you are in right now.”
“What other function?” Lintian asks.
“Cultivation. As long as you are able to contain qi inside your body when you enter the dream state you can cultivate that qi or do whatever you want with it. Go search for my qi,” Rashu instructed.
Lintian sat down and got into the cultivation form. He focused his mind and he could feel Rashu’s qi floating around his dantian. It looked like a moon rotating around a planet. Then a thought zapped Lintian. Akumy.
“Rashu I fainted for some reason and I am still in the forest. Akumy is there too. What if some beast comes along and try to eat us? Help me get out of here,” Lintian shouted worriedly.
“Lintian you are fine. Did you know asuras secrete a special smell that keeps demonic beasts away.”

“What do you mean? When I encounters those boars they don't seem to be running away. Also Akumy wasn’t scare of me either.”
“It's an unconscious smell. If you are not in visible distant they will unconsciously avoid the area that you are in. Kind of like a danger zone feeling they get without their notice.”
“Now that you mentioned it. I never met a demonic beast unless I look for it.”
So this smell is similar to when we watch tv and see those commercials. When we see it enough times we tend to want to go buy that specific item shown on tv.
“Oh ok. Do you know why I fainted?” Lintian asked.
“No, I am not to sure. I checked your body but it doesn't seem to be damaged at all. No signs of sickness, trauma or even injuries. It might just be exhausted. Give it a couple hours to rest. For now take my qi and open your meridian points.”
“Ok.” Lintian answers obediently while sitting down and then begins to connect his dantian with that of the ancestor realm qi. Lintian tried to take it but it was no use. His qi won’t even budge it.
“Keep trying” Rashu instructed, “I’ll help you, have your qi show me the way”.
Lintian had his qi touch Rashu’s qi and brought him to one of the meridian points. His qi began to try and dig it. Rashu’s qi then followed behind his. When it saw what Lintian was trying to do, it obediently charged at it too. Two-seconds later it was opened. It was like watching someone use a laser gun to shoot through tofu. Lintian was astonished by this result and it also brought the Ancestor qi to the eighth meridian point. The same thing happened. The ninth meridian point. The tenth meridian points. The eleventh meridian point. One after the other it was being shot through with ease. The eighth point took a couple seconds longer and the ninth took even longer. The tenth was about a minute long. The eleventh point was about 2 to three minutes long. They were at the twelfth point. The ancestor realm qi began the process again. This time it took about ten minutes. Lintian looks at the Ancestor realm qi moon circling around his dantian. It was already half the size of before. The twelfth point took as long as half an hour. The thirteenth point took even longer. It took a total of three hours. The good news is after 4 hours seven of his points opened up.

“Hahaha!” Lintian laughed because while his meridian points were being opened up his dantian was filling up with qi. After four hours of refining he manage to break into the fourth stage of the refinement realm. Also he only refined a tennis ball size of the ancestor realm qi. Lintian began to refine the qi and open up more meridian points. A whole day passed and he still could not wake up. No demonic beasts came near him at all either.
The next day a child in black clothing landed right next to Lintian’s body. Akumy was awake by then and began to growl at the visitor.
Two more black clothing figure followed behind the first one.
“Xingxing can you please slow down,” a child’s voice muffled by the scarf sounded out.
Lintian inside the dream orb could see what was going on. His body tensed up and he stopped cultivating. He opened up his fourteenth meridian point and entered stage six of the refinement realm. Since he was refining Ancestor qi his qi was significantly stronger than other’s at the refinement realm. Xingxing? He thought. It can’t be. The figure looks to be about the same height as him so the age should match his right.
“Hey Xingxing whose this boy?” one of them asked.
“I don’t know,” a cold voice sounded out.
“Should we help him?”
“Jack this is the core of the forest do you really think with our low cultivation we can help another person?”
“True. Maybe he can be helpful. He seems to be the same age as us and in the sixth of the refinement realm. Not bad,” Jack said.
“We are in the martial realm already why are you impressed by such slow cultivation?”
“Sister Xingxing, please don’t be mad,” another voice sounded out. Lintian can tell this one was very timid and was also shy at the same time.
Xingxing sighed and said, “Jack, Lester I’m sorry. I just feel so pressured by father and mother to win this competition and I don’t know what I was thinking. Lets check if he is still alive. You still have the injury healing pill with you right?” Xingxing got down near Lintian. Akumy sensing that they were hostile backed away. Xingxing felt his pulse. Lintian’s pulse was beating strong like an ox. “He’s alive.”
“Here’s the pill,” Lester said handing her the pill. Xingxing took the pill and popped it in his mouth.
“Lets carry his body with us before the demonic beast gets here and eat him. Jack you carry him.”
“Why me,” Jack whined, “let Lester do it.”
“Sister Xingxing I can do it,” Lester offered.
“Jack wanted to help so he can do it,” Xingxing winked.
“This bastard better be grateful when he wakes up or I am gonna give him a beating,” Jack jokes grabbing Lintian’s waist and began to carry him.
Lintian feeling that there was no more danger began to cultivate again. Another day passed. He still wasn’t able to get his fifteenth meridian point opened. His cultivation however went to the ninth stage of the refinement realm. Kyuri urged him to stabilize this stage before moving on or else it will slow his cultivation later on. Inside the dream orb a whole week passed. The Ancestor realm qi was almost gone. His body was growing stronger slowly too. He began to practice the emperor’s step, Dancing moonlight body skill and the soul penetrating punch. When After another four days inside the dream orb he was finally able to use the ninth stage of the refinement realm’s qi. This was due to the fact that he has an extraordinary body.
“Hey Xingxing its been four days since we found this guy. When do you think he will wake up?” Jack asked.
“I don’t know, but did you notice how weird this kid is? In four days he went from sixth stage to ninth stage? It seems that something happened to his cultivation and that is the reason for his coma,” Xingxing guessed. “Perhaps when he reached his true cultivation level he will wake up.” This was the only logic that sounds reasonable to her. There is no way someone can raise three stages in two days time. Even she who has Heavenly Meridian points cannot cultivate that fast. After she reached the 25th meridian point it became extremely hard to open. Each point after that was harder than the next by an exponential amount.

So I'm a cat, what now?
It seems I've reincarnated into a fantasy world as a cat. What now? This is my first publically published story, and I would love feedback in any form as I have no idea how well the quality of my writing holds up. This story will have light litRPG elements, though I won't dig into numbers much, since I don't enjoy fiddling with them. The tone will be generally light, and I willl probably try to throw some comedy in there as well. The beginning will be Slice of Life, and unless I come up with a longer plot that I like it will stay that way.

What is your answer?’ Tus heard the ancient voice that sounded like sandpaper as he stared at the altar with the land and sky frozen in motion. The words repeated themselves over and over again, forcing him to answer without the chance of taking it back. Armed with a borrowed sword and cheap armor that looked like wood, he said aloud without hesitation, “Yes!” The altar hummed, a green light flickered in the surroundings, and Tus ceased to exist.
