Book 2 Chapter 2-A Light Spar
The next day Lintian woke up he noticed that he had another ring on his finger that he doesn't remember ever wearing. Furthermore when he searched the content inside it was five soul imprint Plates. It turns out to be his foster parent’s and his foster sister and brother’s. Lintian couldn’t help but smile.
For a whole month Lintian went through therapy. Increasing his muscle mass and strength. Also in that month something strange also happened. He noticed that as long as he was focus on cultivation when he falls asleep qi will naturally gather around him. A lot like how a demonic core works for a demonic beast. At first Lintian thought it might be due to his Asura cells but that conclusion went out the window when he remember the Divine Neverland stone fuse with his meridian points. He has a feeling it has something to do with that. So for the past month not only would Lintian be training to get his muscles back but also trying to come up with a way to cultivate in his sleep. Furthermore he had to catch up on school work too.
As for Kyuri in the three years that Lintian was in a coma he too also entered a coma. His soul also strengthen to that of a rank three soul master even through he is not a spell master. Being a phoenix dragon his body did not deteriorate during his sleep rather it grew stronger. He was now a tier two demonic beast.
It took 26 days but Lintian finally finalized his sleep cultivation technique. He was thinking of a name for it when the door swings open.
“Hey Lintian are you back in shape yet?” Alex yells shouts while charging in.
“Yeah, I should be,” Lintian shrugs.
“Come fight with me in the battle building.”
“Sure,” Lintian replied. Lintian has moved out of the family villa and into one of the dorms at school. Who knew that they had dorms in the middle school. Then again since it was the best second rate school students who live far away would stay their.

Lintian follows Alex down leisurely. Its has been a while since he had a fight and he was craving for it. After three years Alex was now in the 8th stage of the refinement realm. Compare to Lintian he was still really weak but do to only exercising, playing catch up in his academic works, and inventing a new cultivation technique for a whole month he was crazing a fight.
There were many students at the battle building’s first floor. The first floor was the size of a football stadium. There were many new students and second and third years at this floor. This was because only stage 5 ad below can practice here. Stage 5 to 10 will be on the second floor. The third floor would be for martial realm practitioners.
“Lets go onto the second floor there is bound to be less people,” Lintian said. He didn't want people to see him in action.
“Okay,” Alex said and they both enter into the second floor.
The second floor is a bit different. They each had their own private rooms that were 20 by 20 meters wide. Furthermore the whole building was fortified by a rank 6 spell so there is no way for these students to do damage to the property itself.
Alex locks the door and puts on the sign occupied.
“Alright whenever you are ready,” Lintian said.
“Don’t hold back now,” Alex said. “Here I come!”
Lintian could feel the flux in qi inside Alex and was wondering what kind of body skills he was practicing in.
Inside the Alex’s body the qi were intertwining like DNA all over his body. Alex explodes forth.
Lintian watches as Alex got closer and closer to him. To Lintian it was still too slow for him. Alex threw out a punch. Lintian was about to dodge it when he saw Alex withdrew the punch. He shifts the direction of his attack. The speed of the execution was ridiculously fast for his level of cultivation. It even took Lintian by surprise, but surprise was still surprise since there was a huge gap between them. Lintian’s actual strength was close to a third stage martial realm practitioner.

Alex relaxed his hand and extends his index finger and middle finger out to form a sword as he aimed for Lintian’s pressure points. Lintian didn't know what he was doing but felt a little bit of danger. He could feel the pressure of qi that Alex was focusing on his finger tips. Lintian smoothly moved his feet into a position that Alex needed to enter. Than his body closed in on Alex. After that his threw out a palm that only contained physical strength. Blasting Alex’s body all the way back to the wall.
“What was that move?” Lintian asks in surprise. Lintian clearly felt it. It wasn’t super dangerous and it has this creeping sensation that he couldn't throw off. Like it was strong but weak at the same time.
“Oowww,” whines Alex. “Why did you have to hit so hard?”
“Haha sorry it was totally an accident,” Lintian chuckles innocently.
“It is a martial art skill that Dr. Harris taught us,” Alex said. “It took me about 2 whole years practicing with Celyis to get this far. She is far better at it than I am.” Alex shrugs.
“Can you teach me?” Lintian asks in anticipation.
“Yeah but I don’t think I would be that great of a teacher. There are 32 pressure points. There are also 54 meridian points. This technique is used to immobilize people or do high damage with little power. It is always attacking the weakest part of the body. So I was told.”
“Oh thats cool, I’ll have Dr. Harris teach it to me later than. You want to get pummeled so more?”
“No!” Alex exclaims. “That one palm strike still hurt!” Still rubbing his chest.
“Sorry!” Lintian apologizes. “Haven’t fought in a while.”
“Alright, I’ll see you later. I’ll find someone near my level to practice on,” Alex said and walks out of the room with Lintian.
As Lintian walks onto the court yard his watch began to vibrate. He received a message.
It was from doctor Harris. It read. Lintian come to my office right now.
Seeing the message Lintian jogs to Harris’s office. In three years the office has not changed one bit. It was still the same as when they first came in.
“Hey Lintian how are you feeling?” Harris asks.
“Pretty good. I think I am back to my original strength,” Lintian replied.
“Thats good because we are leaving tomorrow to go out adventuring.”
“Oh,” Lintian said excitedly. “Did the principle find my parents yet?”
“No not yet but she promise she will find them before the competition starts so don’t worry to much about it.”
“Okay. One more thing I want to enter the Tian Academy over in China when I turn 15 can you arrange it so I can take the test? I know that they don’t do recruitments over in this continent.”
“Mhmm it is fine. I was planning on bringing you there myself when the time comes. If you want to enter that academy you better work hard or else you won’t make it,” Harris chuckles. “All the students there are peerless geniuses. The weakest individual taking the test would be at the seventh of the Master realm at the age of fifteen. No one under that level has ever manage to pass the test. If I remember correctly my good friend Xiaotian was at the second stage of the King’s realm when he took the test. I wonder how he is doing now.”
“Did he pass the tests?” Lintian asks his eyes growing bigger and bigger.
“Yes, he breezed through the test and made a big commotion at the school,” Harris laughs heartily.
Lintian thought of something when he heard the name. Nah it couldn't be, Lintian thought to himself and expelled the thought.
“Work hard we are leaving tomorrow get a good night sleep. I have all the things you need packed.”
“Ok, I’ll meet you tomorrow.”
