Book 2 Chapter 18: Steal!
“Stop stammering and lets begin,” Sam said and sits down into a lotus position. Ten small spell arrays flew out of his hand.
Lintian did the same and began to scan the area too. Battle spell formation and security spell formation are two different kinds spell formations. Battle spell formation can be easily beaten through brute force. While security formation requires analyzing since otherwise it will activate booby traps and other stuff that are annoying to deal with.
Lintian began to feel the connections between each array and what purpose each array serves. This is similar to a game of jenga except you are trying to make it fall apart. Furthermore it is built so you can’t remove one piece but have to remove multiple pieces to disarm it. This cause quite a problem because if you do disarm one piece and it doesn't fall apart then the whole array will activate the trap. Thats why both Sam and Lintian right now are searching for one array where they can remove in a single step and make this whole array useless.
Time ticks on and they both began to sweat. They have gone through a 100 to 200 permutations in the last 7 minutes without any clue on how to tear this array apart. Lintian thought he saw some shadows moving but due to his focus he decided to ignore it.
Lintian got up and said to Sam, “Lets stop search for the one piece and start building an array that can counteract this array.”
“There is no time. Building this counter array will take days. Even with the two of us. We are going to have to depend on luck to find it.”
Lintian felt that those words have some truth to them and decided to get back to it. This time instead of doing it methodically Lintian decided to find random point to start the permutations from.
“Lintian get that boy out of here and st,” a random voice sounded out besides him.
“AHH!” Lintian screams in fright. He jumps up and kicks behind him. Lintian’s eyes grew wide.

“AH! Whats wrong Lintian?” Joe and Katrina asks in shock through the earpiece. The good news was that the mask Joe made blocks all the sound from leaving the mask. So unless you have the ear piece on no one can hear you.
“Nothing. Nothing,” Lintian said calming down. “I have to get back to this formation.”
“Ok,” they replied back.
Lintian sits back down to avoid suspicion.
“Rashu what the hell did you do that for! You nearly gave me a heart attack!” Lintian shout out mentally because if it wasn't for the masks he would have ruin the mission.
“Calm down,” Rashu grins.
“When did you wake up? How come I didn't notice you waking up until today?”Lintian asks.
“I woke up the day you became a flasher,” Rashu said grimly shaking his head in disapproval. “Or are you a pedo in human language.”
Lintian face turns bright red thinking back to that day when he fazes through the wall and accidentally flashes his little rocket at that girl.
“Never mind that,” Lintian said, “what were you saying before.”
“I was saying to steal two of the Four Dragon Soul Pill.”
“Two of the four? Wouldn't they get suspicious if half of the Dragon Soul Pill inside are gone?”
“No. The name of the pill is Four Dragon Soul Pill not that there are only four of those inside. There is actually thirteen of those pill inside when I checked.”
“Still its pretty precious so how am I going to hide the fact I stole it?” Lintian asks. He really didn't want to steal from his own employer.
“Hide it in your interspacial ring.”
“It's a soul item I can’t.”
“Yes you can because your interspacial ring is special. Well to be precise it is not an interspacial ring but a teleportation ring.”
“What do you mean?”
“Aside from the fact that it can’t teleport living beings it can teleport anything else. The reason you were able to keep the void sword in your ring is due to that fact. Well to be precise it wasn't in your ring but somewhere else. I presume a special safe. When you were bringing your Void sword in and out of the ring is because of it.”

“That makes sense. Huh? I don’t remember ever reading about it before,” Lintian said and just realize that there were no such thing as a teleportation ring because it does not exist. Lintian’s memories flashes back to the day his uncle Lin gave him this ring.
“Hahaha. They mean well. Anyway, Uncle Ming and I both prepared a gift for you that I am sure you will love,” he remembers his Uncle Lin saying as he handing him a box that contains the ring.
“A interspacial ring?” Lintian remembers exclaiming excitedly.
“Yes and this interspacial ring is different from all the others. The other rings can only hold up to 100 cubic meters worth of materials at most but this one is able to hold up to 2000 cubic meters worth of materials at once. Also it is our newest ring too and you are the first to have one. I don’t know why you will need this much space in the future but it is still fun and convenient to have” Uncle Lin said at that time.
Lintian remembers putting it on immediately and testing out the ring. Instantly the things he wanted to go into the ring warped into it. The space bend and the box of his parents items were absorb into the ring.
“Wow! This is amazing” Lintian remembers exclaiming. Uncle Lin had a prideful look on his face at the time. Lintian remembers seeing him stay of really late a couple nights when he was hungry.
Tears rolls down Lintian’s eyes as he remembers the familial warmth that he has lost since the day he left home. I will be back soon Lintian promises.
“Those pills are extremely beneficial for you when you break through to the Master realm and those pills are near impossible to make. No amount of money can buy you those pills,” Rashu explains. “Even I am surprise they were able to make 13 of these. Only one can be create every thousand years. In a couple years you are going to need one and I also need one in order to restore my body.”
Lintian now realizes the true value of those pills and he also realizes why Rashu told him to steal two. It is because one is for Lintian, and one is for Rashu.
“Alright,” Lintian answers mentally and agrees to it. “Um question you sure the guy next to me can’t see you? He seems to be able to see conscious energy.”
“It’s fine. He won’t be able to see me. His eyes are still too weak to see me.”
Lintian lets out a relaxing breathe and realizes how he was going to do it. He also realizes what Rashu’s plan was for him to steal it. He has to using his fazing skill to do it. The question is how do I get this guy to leave and make it in time to crack the formation and steal the pills.
“Hey guys I th,” Lintian was saying before he got interrupted by Rashu.
“Let him stay. You are going to steal it right in front of his eyes and give it to him so no one will suspect you in taking it,” Rashu said mentally to him.
“What is it Lintian?” Diana asks.
“I think I have a way to take it without triggering the alarm.”
“How?” Sam also asks turning to look at him.
Rashu began to explain the plan to him.
“After studying these formations I realize that there is a loop hole to it. I can use Micheal’s remaining qi in this glove to fool the spell arrays here. As for the array that is protection the sphere it will not interfere with Micheal’s qi.”
“He’s right. The spell arrays here are pretty superficial. As long as we can trick it into thinking Lintian is Micheal then nothing will activate. The problem is that there is also a walking pattern placed into this formation so it will read you're walking pattern as you walk.”
“No worries I got that part covered,” Lintian smirks.

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

Dear Spellbook (Rewrite)
Live. Study. Repeat. Tal never saw himself as an adventurer, but the call to adventure never much cared for his opinion. Despite his best efforts, his search for answers on the murder of his parents ever draws him into danger. Accompanied by a group of seasoned warriors, thus far Tal has gotten by on his own meager magical talents, but when one day he wakes up to find himself back in his bed of the night before, he is faced with a challenge he must conquer alone. What to expect: This story was born of an attempt to create in world lore reasons for many of the mechanics and tropes of D&D, but you do not need to know of them to enjoy the story. It's a single POV time loop story with slow paced progression fantasy elements. The story is not one of fast-paced power ups and non-stop action, but as it progresses, the action picks up. There is a lot of magic system exploration on a system built to unify the diverse magic of D&D into one cohesive magic system. The setting is an original world with familiar races and monsters but with new unique origins and motivations. The average chapter will be 2-5k words long, most being around 3k but there are a few less than 1k, due to the nature of the story telling device I used. Book 1 is complete. Posting is on hold until I finish book 2. Book 2 progress: The rough draft is done at 141656 words as of 7/9/2022. I need to reread and edit it but Im aiming for resuming chapters in September.

I can promise you a great deal of horror, gore, chaos and pure edge, but also everything on the opposite site of the spectrum from side characters. To be blunt, the MC is not a good person, so unless you're interested in such a thing, I'd strongly advise you to not read Currant Choir.
