《God Must Be Lazy He Allowed a Cultivation Anomaly》38. Trade

Quality pills are expensive and cultivators usually rely on the quantity of pills to advance their cultivation. However, it is different with breakthrough pills. One can slowly consume multiple Low Tier Qi Enhancement Pills and advance to Mid Qi Condensation Realm, however it is not the same when breaking through a higher realm like advancing from Late Qi Condensation to Foundation Establishment Realm.
No one knows but the quality of the breakthrough pill directly affects the chances of breaking the barrier of major cultivation levels. Due to pill poison, one cannot just simultaneously consume three Low Tier Foundation Establishment Breakthrough pill to increase their chances in breaking through.
Da'am looked at the pills before him. He just confirmed the pills have qualities superior to that of a regular High Tier Pill. However, even if this Foundation Establishment Breakthrough pill is rare, not to mention three total, it still does not outweigh the value of a spatial brush.
The reason is that talented cultivators can breakthrough even with a Low Tier Pill and geniuses sometimes do not even need a pill to advance to Foundation Establishment , but it is entirely different story if it were Core Formation Breakthrough Pill or a Bloodline Awakening Pill. The pill in front of him now is considered a luxury item.
If there is of equivalent value within this trade, it is that their family name will be mentioned to the Alchemist which is like earning a big favor, however it is not a guarantee especially that the alchemist is currently residing in an Elven Clan and will probably disappear without them knowing. The bigger problem is that the alchemist might turn out to be an actual Elven.
Da'am is a smart and ambitious member of Lanas Family. Though there definitely is a risk to this trade and the loss they are about to incur is a huge sum, earning the favor of a true master alchemist is another matter. The pills in his hands are proof of how accomplished this mysterious man is.

If this alchemist agrees to help them concoct a higher level of breakthrough pill, this is akin to guaranteeing their family as a powerhouse. Besides, what they are about to lose won't really amount to anything if compared to the overall wealth of the family.
After a minute of silence, Da'am responded, “I am unable to make this decision myself. I hope this esteemed guest won't mind another day for our answer."
Sar Ula'n has years of experience dealing with people. Upon seeing Da'am reaction, he is quite confident the trade is successful. He took out the second bottle of pills and said, "The alchemist said that he needed forging materials for spatial formation."
Da'am eyes squinted upon hearing Sar Ula'n's additional request. He did not need to be obvious but old people should learn how to read the atmosphere. He extended his Qi to probe the second bottle. Upon confirming it was another bottle of breakthrough pills of similar quality, his mood lightened up a bit.
To him, it is excessive to spend so much on a single use item, but more than enough to gain favors when dealing with upper members of society like Bang-et Royal Family. Originally, he wanted to seek advice given the pills in exchange was too little but seeing the second bottle, he already made up his mind.
When Kle In woke up the following morning, he decided to tour the city a bit and purchase a basic offensive technique. The few times he went out together with Aunt Mabna'y, he noticed that there were occasionally guards roaming around making the city relatively peaceful during the day so he did not have to worry about being in trouble.
The first destination he had in mind was San Ruk Eagles Guild. Although he is unfamiliar with the layout of city, he relied on the route he remembered taking when he went out with Aunt Mabna'y a few times. Kle In noticed that the stores are only beginning to set up their stalls which means he has probably gotten up so early. As he turned on one corner of a street, a sweet aroma landed on his nose.

Kle In looked into the restaurant with an outside dining where the pleasant smell came from. Most building designs of the city are similar or rather based on an old Chinese community which Kle In appreciates most. The place he grew up on back on earth was highly urbanized and being able to eat on a country side below or near a tree was an uncommon sensational experience.
As he approached the stall, a waitress took notice of his crest and immediately accommodated him inside. The waitress was apologetic and the head chef was even summoned to take his order. Kle In knew it is the Elven Crest at work as he listened to the menus they offer which seem to specialize in hot pot.
Kle In wondered how people would treat him without the crest. If they knew he was carrying thousands of gold in his ring, even the guards would probably rob him. His objective is to kill time.
Since it is early in the morning, he is currently the only customer inside. After waiting for a few minutes, his order finally got served. It was a plate of meat balls and a soup of made from Tier One Beast's Egg. Kle In is not a picky eater nor does he have a tongue of a gourmet but who does not want to enjoy when in front of a mouthwatering and appetizing plate.
Halfway through his breakfast, Kle In was not aware a luxurious carriage parked in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is not fancy at all and as if having a visitor bearing an Elven crest is not enough, another wealthy and powerful man dropped by.

Sometimes my voice dies in my throat, buries itself beneath waves of crippling suffocation, burns itself out as cold hands tear at my laced skin. I have smiled while my eyes have cried and pleaded, my wrists numb, my lips wobbling and blue, and stars escaping this dark night that I'm trapped in. I long for a darkness that gives way to light. But I do feel the warmth of petals gathering and scattering in my cold bones, and imagine the touch and the sweetness of a kiss, and my heart rises to the surface of this sea and finds a sky painted by passing artists remaining far above our heads. I'm breathing out all the words I've kept locked under the pages of my breaking mind. And by doing so, I'm going to heal.TRIGGER WARNINGS: depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal thoughts, OCD, panic attacks
