A young man with a fringe hairstyle is walking alone on an unpaved road wearing a green clad robe. Not far from the road are acres of golden wheat ready to be harvested in a few more days as printed on the faces of cheerful farmers inspecting the fields. If not because of the acropolis seen from the distance, one might think they are on a countryside.
Kle In is currently walking towards the city of Bul Ak'aw. After separating himself from the caravan, he detoured from the main road and crossed a few uninhabited forests before stopping at a river to clean himself. Only then did he find out that the transformation of his skin has spread to the area of his spine forming a line that looks like a birth mark. Thanks to the mirror from the spatial ring of Alchemist Dego whom he killed; he was able to give himself a haircut by relying on his Qi Projections.
After setting up a camp, he took out the book containing a levitation spell to study. The technique is called Bilt Soaring Steps, a low-level levitation spell that primarily focuses on the Air Type Formation carved on the boots. After a few tests, he was delighted to have been finally able to float and fly.
During his three-month journey crossing boundless mountains, there were many times when he desired to learn the levitation techniques of his previous enemies. After refining their spatial rings, he hesitated to use any of their items as it might trigger hidden formations which might expose his location except for the bottles of pills.
Having limited knowledge about the levels of strength in the cultivation world, he is still wary that a stronger Sword Qi user would find him. However now that he has encountered the leader of the caravan and the Aura users who killed her maid, he is beginning to doubt his assessment.

When Kle In used his strength to the 3rd power, the formation on the boots broke. Only then did he understand that normal magic tools would probably not withstand his boosted power.
Kle In focused on the portion of the levitation spell that did not utilize or rely on magic tools. After a few adjustments on the Major and Sub Qi Nodes involved, he was able to come up with a simple and reliable way to fly. As his final test, he adjusted his strength to the 6th degree while on a three-kilometer altitude.
As a result of his errant aerial navigation and after covering vast distance, he landed on a hill overlooking a city. Kle In realized the huge demand of Qi during flight and decided to use it only when necessary. After recuperating for a night, he decided to enter the city to gather information about his creeping transformation.
Upon reaching the city gates, he paid one of the guards to show him the way to a prominent Mercenary Group called Tang Lib Guild.
"I wish to speak to a powerful cultivator to satisfy my request", Kle In said without sounding arrogant when he approached one of the twenty clerks of the spacious reception hall.
"I have been working here for more than ten years now and I am confident that if this esteemed sir can kindly elaborate, that we can properly accommodate your needs."
The attractive clerk courteously responded. At the back of the clerk's mind, the young man before her may look decent but does not have the air of a rich young master. She reckons that this customer is a fledgling who thinks that a hundred gold coins make him wealthy.
After a few seconds of awkward silence, she then responded still maintaining the lovely smile on her face.

"There is a fee of non-refundable one hundred gold coins if your request is not verified by us and our Deacons may probably not entertain you if the transaction is less than a thousand gold coins."
Kle In's request involves a sensitive subject that abruptly triggered a friendly stranger hostile and he wants to limit the number of people involved even if he sounded boastful and disrespectful. He summoned one hundred gold coins and slowly placed it on the table hinting the clerk to stop explaining.
"Please follow me to our deacon's office."
Kle In ignored the splendor of the interior architectural design of the building as he silently followed a gorgeous clerk from behind appreciating her faint perfume. After a minute, he was brought into an office of a well built old man who looked like from the hoodlums.
He silently asked himself upon seeing the man wearing sleeveless polo shirt busy reading a paper. "Since when do muscular street thugs work in a corporate office?"
"This here is Deacon Urda.". The clerk introduced and left the room.
"I do not normally entertain guests like this". Urda spoke as he stamped a paper not showing any signs of stopping.
Kle In did not mind the courtesies and trusted the man is capable after confirming that Urda has similar strength to the subordinates of the Nascent expert who killed her maid.
"I noticed the Qi is abundant within the city walls, at least two or three times thicker than the outside. If this esteemed elder could enlighten this young one."
There was a moment of silence and Kle In saw Urda took a deep breath and sighed slowly.
"You can take your one hundred gold coins back but if you do something reckless again in the future, I will ban you from taking step within our premises. Please see yourself out."
Kle In did not anticipate the response. Here he thought he could start a friendly conversation before getting to his main point but Urda just showed how his appearance matches his unapproachable behavior. He took out the thousand gold coins he prepared in his spatial ring when she heard the clerk earlier and placed it on the table.
"I have a few queries to consult this elder. Regardless if they are satisfied or not, I am willing to commission this respected master to guide this junior. I do not plan on staying long."
"Do not blame me if you feel like taken advantage of later."
Urda finally acceded.
