《God Must Be Lazy He Allowed a Cultivation Anomaly》72. Spiritual Veins

Kle In wanted to go to the lake and wash himself, but the Defensive Formation attacked him from the inside. After crushing the six small pillars, he vowed to learn about controlling such Formations when he has the chance.
He got naked and walked towards the lake. His height is around 173 centimeters and his body looked like a werewolf. Only seven years from the time he was born yet so many things have happened and now he looks like grown monster. He sighed and hoped he can undo the changes on his body and live like a normal human.
After a few minutes, he flew towards the sky and activated his Failed Superman Eyesight in hope to find a Spiritual Vein. If nothing happens in ten days, he needs to ensure he has enough Qi Crystals to support his journey. What he is apprehensive the most is that his cores may automatically advance and he would not have enough to supply it and may turn him into something unpleasant. He first wanted to confirm the relation of Spiritual Veins and Cultivation Meridians while waiting.
He has been flying for around thirty minutes now and all he could find is a two-hundred-meter-long dim structure near a river. Unlike the Spiritual Vein he saw in the city where Qi waves are actively radiating from the root-like structure, this vein only has a faint wave that is directed towards a flowing river.
Kle In descended and observed the heart of a two-meter-thick vein up-close. He concentrated on the image through his divine sight. If only there is a way to adjust it. He could barely discern the formation structures within the heart of the vein. It is like looking at a white paper on a white background.
He originally postulated that Spiritual Veins are Qi converters and there must be a way to replicate it. Kle In remembered the times when his strength was depleted and all he needed to do is eat and sleep and the following day, his Qi reservoir was recharged. Something from what he has eaten must have circulated within the pathways and generated Qi in return aside from naturally absorbing Qi in the environment.

Comparing the images, Spiritual Vein looks very similar to a circulation pathway of cultivators and Magical Beast. He could not find any difference aside from water flowing into the center. It is literally a complete circulation pathway found outside a body.
"If circulation pathways are Qi converters, why won't it continue operating when the beast or cultivator dies?"
Beasts leave their cores behind when they die while cultivators do not. The two cultivators he just buried is a perfect example. Where does someone's cultivation go when they die? He remembered when his primary meridian was crippled, he felt his Qi reservoir left his body.
"Maybe this rock where the vein is imbedded is a living creature?"
Kle In looked into his spatial ring for a bigger Beast Core that has sufficient residual Qi Nodes to support Low Qi Condensation pattern. Using his Qi projection, he formed a basin of water and submerged the Beast Core and forced the Qi Nodes to circulate. After an hour of observation, he dropped the crystal as no Spiritual Qi was generated.
He observed the Spiritual Vein one more time slowly from the tip towards the center. He felt like he is missing something. Suddenly, he recalled the image he has seen from the Death Qi sample. He saw how Qi dispersed within the meridians and travelled into the core then a few portions of that Qi moved towards the blue mist area of the soul and returned an amplified Death Qi. Kle In concentrated and focused only at the most center part of the Vein.
Slowly, he noticed a spot in the middle and how water is moving if not absorbed on the perimeter of the spot and the inner portion of the spot is where the Spiritual Qi is coming out.
Kle In picked up the Beast Core he dropped moments ago and forced a circulation and focused at the center of the Beast Core. After thirty minutes, he confirmed that it does not have the little spot at the center.

He then remembered the Beast Cores he incorporated in his body. It was originally connected to six Qi Nodes then developed into a complete set hours later like it has been revived after installed in his body. Kle In just had an inspiration.
He spread his Qi in search of a suitable experiment. After a minute, he caught a wild board and forced it to stay still. Using his hair reinforced with Qi, he made an incision to expose the Beast Core. He boosted his Qi to the 2nd power to surround and isolate all Qi Nodes and pathways and forcefully extracted it from the boar brutally killing the creature. He immediately inserted his Qi into the Beast Core and made a thin thread that connects all Qi Nodes before they dimmed and forced a circulation.
Kle In continued the forced circulation until he felt the movement of his Qi became slower. Majority of the Qi pathway involved arteries and veins and after two hours, blood started to coagulate. He made a clay and slowly enveloped the complete circulation meridian of the boar that looks like roots and submerged it into a basin of water supported by his Qi Projection.
He saw how water slowly moved from the threads of his Qi towards the center and moments later, the same scenario transpired. Before he got excited, he discovered the threads and waves coming out from the center does not seem to feel like a Spiritual Qi. He could not detect any change in Qi density around him.
Kle In levitated while maintaining everything in position with his Qi projection and flew off until he found and landed near a rivulet where Qi density is weak. He then placed it on the shallow flowing water and slowly released his Qi. The continuous release of the waves did not stop indicating it is working, however he could still not feel any changes on the density of Spiritual Qi around him.

The Devil's Bride
"I am not sleepy so why don't we tell each other a story?" Her voice was low and raspy and fuck, I'd been lying if I say I wasn't turned the fuck on. "Like what?" I ask swallowing my pride and probably my sense of direction. Her skin was on top of mine, in contact, burning. "I don't know." She says taking her time to adjust herself on my lap. I had to grip the chair for support feeling all my breath vanish from my lungs. "Maybe a short bio about yourself." She advocates placing one of her hands on my chest. I feel the contact through my shirt, my eyes trained on every movement of hers. The worst of it all was that she is unaware of what she was doing to me. "Uh-" I feel my words shorten. On impulse, I grab her by her waist for support instead. Leaning back painfully on the single chair. "You're so cute when you're confused!" She giggles going ahead to move slightly on my lap. I blow out a groan feeling my erection harden.
