Dear self,
Infusing the dreamcatcher with an amplification effect related to dream had a consequence I did not intend for, nor do I understand it. The dreamscape seemed more somehow. The stars seemed brighter and the night seemed darker. All the trees increased in size and I suspect I would now wander farther before finding the edge if I was trying to get to it. The big tree was a lot larger, and now made the trees in the waking world seem a bit shorter, and just pathetic in terms of girth. It was wide enough to stroll around it.
Rahph was also larger. He towered over me again for some reason. I felt less in control of the dream than I ever was before. The amplification effect had somehow amplified everything except my own influence in the dream. This is the kind of thing that can happen if you do not give a well-defined purpose for your enchantments. It can be surprising how often magic has the inverse effect to what you might have intended if you don’t know what you are doing.
Vamera was still just a small flickering light. It was a lot more annoying getting around in the dark without using her as a lantern. It makes me almost which I had left the dreamscape to be outside of my control and kept the day time Vamera created. Rahph does not seem inclined to mess with the sky and I do not have the affinity for daylight, or any skill with Illusory magic to work around it.
My time in the dream was still a little longer than normal, so I tried experimenting with planting something at random. I just stared at a patch of ground and willed a seed to be planted there. It was irritatingly difficult, but I saw a little sprout forming. I’m wondering what would happen if I cultivate a garden within my dreams. They might become magically potent or they might just remain imaginary figments without substance. I’d need to ask around to find out if dream figments might have magical properties beyond mystical symbolism.

Rahph spent most of the dream sleeping lazily. He sleeps when he’s awake and when he’s dreaming apparently. The Darcinderaht seems to be an extraordinary lazy creature. He mostly gets active when there’s something warm nearby or if he smells smoke. I tested a little spark and he came over and ate the fire that was starting up. It might explain why such a dry ecosystem can survive without burning down if the fauna consumes embers before they spread. It’s strange to think of a fire Aspected creature being a solution to wild fires instead of a major cause of them. As far as I could tell he burnt his territory in a straight line when he felt like expanding the circle, so the little land he does burn also isolates one part of the wilds from another part, which would also prevent fires from spreading across every area to a degree.
Mother did not have a lot of sympathy for my need to sleep in. She just rushed me down to the shop faster after I’ve finally gotten awake. She lets me deal with the smaller issues that more people come to the shop for while she is in the back working on her own projects. Now that my suspension is finally lifted I need to make up a little for lost time. There were three people who came in today who only needed help attuning to their items. Attuning with an item is not even something you should be needed help for, let alone from an actual enchanter, but they came anyway. Even being paid I can’t help but feel angry I had to spend half an hour just guiding one guy attune to a pair of shoes he bought because he fought they looked nice. I don’t think there was a single part of the process he didn’t need to be explained to in exacting detail. Can’t he think for himself?

After shop work I was given a project to complete. Mother wanted me to make an entire doll that could animate itself and make the enchantment a sustained one. I think this might have been her subtle way of telling me how much I did wrong with that teetotum. While I have given an object kietic animation before, it was always limited to simplistic linear movements such as the spin on the teetotum. I was even proud I could get the spinning toy to lean towards specific directions to control where it moved and now I had to work out the entire system of limbs and joints in a bipedal doll, while creating a level of balance and grace for it. I think Mother just wants me to show me what I can’t do at this point.
Tori finally figured out how to take his prismatic puzzle apart. I had almost forgotten about the toy. It must have looked interesting from how everyone else reacted, but I just saw a lot of grey shapes drawn on the inside. It gave me a thought to test out with the evasion cloak and according to the fully sighted people my cloak does look drained of colour like all my creations. It might be a little to my advantage generally, but I am told an entirely colourless object tends to stand out a bit next to colourful things. I think I might try making a transmutation with mercury to help it reflect the light around it and imitate shades of colour. It should not be too hard since the Rift Foil was originally silvery like a mirror before I made a wondrous item out of it, and mercury holds some similarities to it in appearance. It is the appearance I am focusing on in any case. The presence it creates in the user’s aura can easily be influences by its appearance and how visible it is to observers.
Hope we fare well.
Regards,
Me.

I was just like everyone else. At least, I thought so. Everyone grew up in a mansion with servants, trained to be a debutante, had a traveling archeologist for a father, and gave it all up to do whatever the hell they wanted. Right? Well that’s what I did. I was happy. As happy as a single twenty four year old girl can be living in an apartment selling shit online to pay the bills. Not actual shit, that's gross. No, I bought stuff from garage sales, thrift stores, and junk shops, and resold it in my online store. I was pretty good at finding stuff to peddle to my customers. I made rent every month and didn’t have to strip. I’m a bit too chunky to swing around a pole anyway. Life was great! Until two sexy men broke into my apartment and woke me up from the most erotic dream my sexually depraved mind could come up with. One was between my legs, the other was... Oh well, it was a dream and I didn’t even get to finish it. Those bastards! Now I’m supposed to believe my dead father wasn’t an archeologist, but some kind of paranormal agent working for a secret organization called The Guard. My ability to find items for my customers is just a perk inherited from him. And I’m supposed to use my inherited powers to save the world. All while these hunks of man flesh guard me from other paranormals out to get whatever the hell they think I have. A certain body part is dripping with excitement, literally. But my mind is saying “Hell No!”
