Dear self,
Alandara and her sister have moved into the local inn as of this day. The girl was confused mostly, though she seems to have vague memories of her times as a spirit. The astral form isn’t exactly structured well to sustain the mind on its own. Mother is examining the cursed book that initiated the entire scenario personally. It contains Ancient Magic, which is no surprise really. These old powers always seem to develop their own mark on the world. Unlike most however, it is highly incoherent, which is rare for a surviving magic that has lived long enough to become ancient
It was likely preserved in some way outside of the book itself or within some external protection. Much like how the Eldritch Idol only developed its connection to the Outside by first isolating itself from the Solacium. It is why these old and powerful artefacts are might usually only be found within some sealed tomb from forgotten times. The ones that hadn’t been either degraded or never gained the space they needed to develop into something truly significant.
I made two crowns selling the Bubbleshil recipe to the sun witch. It’s a large prize for a simple recipe and I do not have much use for it anyway without a regular source of Frost Bubbleshil. It will be of more use to a witch than to many other, and in any case it is the Materia which provides the greatest difficulty and not the recipe itself. The sojourner might know some other witch with the right garden to grow the inured plant in, despite being a sun witch herself. She might even be able to do it without any other help if she has aa strange complement of affinities.

Vamera figured out how to make an aesthetic appearance for her puppet vessel. She decided to go without a mouth for some reason, though it doesn’t make speech any simpler in this case. Most of the attention was placed on the hair and other things. She placed the least importance in the face in the end, as that was where that unnerving effect arose most easily. With a clear distinction between a normal face and her lipless visage the unnerving effect vanished, and she could devote more into creating a beautiful alien appearance instead of bridging that uncanny divide between near perfect and perfect.
Tori was quite impressed at her, and the way she spoke made him think her wise. He’s been pestering her throughout the day, and she’s been playing at being completely inanimate most of the time to tease him. It did make the times she chose to respond have more impact as far as I could see, and incidentally made seem that much more mysterious and mystical.
Hope we fare well.
Regards,
Me.

Drinker of the Yew: A Necromancer's Tale
Updates Once a Week next update 10/5 Wracked with misfortune, a nameless village along the edge of the Gray Spine rejoiced at the arrival of a paladin. Those celebrations, though, turned to wary tension as the paladin brought an unknown into their midst - his wife Nayinis, who wears the markings of a necromancer. Who is this woman? Why has she come to their village? Nayinis divulges her shadowed past, for she needs the village's trust to defeat the powerful foe that she has been summoned by the divine to face. What to expect: This is a slow-paced, dark, epic-fantasy book written mostly in an archaic first-person style, remniscent of fariy-tale at times. I am expecting the final product to be close to 600-700 pages. The first few chapters introduce a somewhat-steep learning curve of names and mythology of the world that plateaus at aroud chapter 5. Vylt: The New Dawn
Mankind finds a way to use magic, but this great power comes with a price. A transaction that can't be refunded. Nora Hayes is a simple girl whose only worry was graduating high school. That is, until she faces this new reality. How will she, her family, and her friends deal with the aftermath of such event? Currently revising all the existing chapters. New ones coming after that! _________________________________________________________________ Sneak Peek: Next to the kitchen, there was a small squared table and two wooden chairs, each made from different wood. The bookshelf behind those contained a decent amount of books. I stood up to take a closer look at them and even opened a few out of curiosity. While I could read most of them just fine, some of the oldest-looking books were written in a language I didn't recognize. "Hm? Was my hand always blue?" I didn't remember. In fact, I couldn't recall anything about myself, not even my name. Inspecting the rest of my body, I found that it was the same all over. I didn't feel sick; quite the opposite. Still, my blue skin felt out of place for some reason. Trying to find an answer to my situation, I kept investigating the odd room. _________________________________________________________________ Big thanks to Alice Griffin for helping me out with the cover.
