Chapter-16: Four ways of the apocalypse
The King, my grandfather was sitting with relax in front of me unlike his majestic aura in the throne room. This time he’s sizing me in the truest sense.
“You have grown.”
He evaluated me with a smile.
“Yeah, we last saw each other when you gave me knight rank.”
We didn’t meet each other for two years or so.
“No. I am not saying that. It’s true that you have grown taller, and your magic power prolonged, but I am not talking about that. I mean you have matured, compare to last time no, even compare to your age.”
Ah, he means it like that. Well, I remember certain quota of certain someone,
‘Even the most ignorant, innocent child will eventually grow up as they learn what true pain is.’ Remembering that I also spit out another line,
[AN: Guess who?]
“When a boy experienced tremendous pain, and overcome it, he becomes a man.”
Hearing me, grandfather made an astonished face, but soon he laughed,
“Haha, well said. You have grown up for sure. But, you know my capabilities. I knew that when Tower of Eden destroyed you were in the sect, but how did you escape, and reach your home even less than a half day no quarter of a day?”
He asked me narrowing his eyes.
So, I couldn’t deceive him after all. Well, that wasn’t outside of my expectation. This man is the sovereign of a nation, he cannot be underestimated. But I made a fake shocked face.
“I am surprised, you even know that trivial thing. Sigh! It was the greatest luck in my 20 years of little life, I just encountered a fortunate item (not lie). By using that, I had teleported nearby to our city (not lie). But if you ask why I was alone who could escape, I would say it was too late for them by the time I have found it (not lie). I know it’s hard to believe, but it actually happened to me who was desperate back then.”

“Is that so, you must have lucky encounter then.”, he replied sharply.
Do you think, only I have got visual prowess in this world? No, in this world there are also many visual prowesses which commonly known as magic eyes and this guy has special visual prowess, that’s how he became a king, that visual is called Truth Serum. The all-seeing-eye that can see through the boundary between truths and lies. I cannot tell him any lies as long as I am in front of him.
But that is as long as I am sitting in front him in this world… Until I have opened my red pattern eyes… I let him listen to the truth for the first part. I have silently cast, [Tsukuyomi].
Now, then how about we do little serious chat.
“There is something I want to ask you.”
“Ask.”
He let me ask without thinking a second.
I take out a paper from my pocket and give him to that. By looking that he frowned,
“That is?”
In that paper, a portrait was drawn. It was the masked man, who contacted Viscount Lister. The truth is it was never drawn in the first place, I made this using genjutsu, after all, we are now in my genjutsu of [Tsukuyomi], where is I am absolute ruler I can do here anything I want, I can create anything I want.
“Do you know this guy?”
I asked him, I wanted to show him that first to see his reaction before asking. But his reaction is unfathomable.
“His body structure is somewhat familiar, but you know I can’t see his face because of his mask. And I have never even seen the attire he is wearing. Why are you showing me this?”
“One of my closest acquaintances is searching for him, so I thought while I am here I might ask you to help him. It would be helpful if you find him for me.”

“Umm, umm, okay. I will help you to look for him. But it will be after cleaning the mess of Tower of Eden.”
I nodded toward him.
“Thank you. Another thing, have you ever heard the term ‘Kiamat’?”
Hearing me his eyebrows raised.
“Is it for the same person? Well whatever, Kiamat is it? Yeah, I have heard it. Have you ever read the Book of Apocalypse?”
No, I have never read that, because I wasn't interested in that. But I have some knowledge regarding what was writing on that book like how this world will be destroyed, I took those as myth and nothing will come from the reading myth of destruction that has no connection to magic research and ignore that.
“No, I didn’t read that, but I have heard some of the myth from other people which are writing on that book.”
He nodded.
“So, have you heard about the four ways to the apocalypse of the world?”
“Yes, the first way is a horde of monsters will invade this world from behind the boundary, the second way this world will destroy because of a great war cause humans, the third way this world will be destroyed by Dragon God and the fourth way if nothing of those three happened this world will be destroyed by an Evil God.”
I told him what I know about the four ways to apocalypse.
“Indeed. But in Sacred Nation, which is known as a religious nation they named this four-ways to the apocalypse in their holy scripture. The first way is Kiamat, the second way is Ragnarok, the third way is Red Dragon God of Apocalypse and the fourth way is Destruction God. So you understand, ha? Kiamat is the first way of apocalypse what in our Book of Apocalypse describe as this world will be invaded by the horde of monsters which exists behind the boundary. You may be thinking that it is a myth. But my Truth Serum verified it... that is no lie.”
Kiamat is a way of the apocalypse, but the puppet my clone encounter was talking about world peace. Sigh, why the guys like them always see that end of this world is the form of peace?
“Now then I have a question that I wanted to ask, I would have asked it via telepathy even if you didn’t visit here.”
I was almost dazing out, but he woke me up.
“Yes?.... please.”
I almost asked him rudely.
“Do you know who is that masked man appeared at Tower of Eden?”

The Long and Exciting Life of Kreet the Kobold (Life 2)
Kreet was originally a D&D character. Life 1 was essentially her backstory. Life 2 picks up just after the events of the D&D campaign in the Underdark. At first you won't recognize the characters, but bear with it for a couple chapters and the few important points will be revealed. Also I stole a player's character (with his permission!) in the form of Sigmundurr. Also, unlike Life 1, I'll be posting this slowly over time. Right now I'm writing around chapter 20 and I suspect I'm only halfway. Tone may be a little different. ( Cover art by KuroNeko I'm pretty sure!)

Sara's (not really) Fabulous System Armageddon, Book I: The World Ended at Rush Hour
Planet Earth, Monday, October 7th, 2019. 18:30 * * On a fateful day, during rush hour in eastern North America, Heavens and Hell crumbled and fell from their higher dimension on Earth. It came from "above" but not the same above we regard in our tridimensional Euclidean reasoning. No, it came from "above" as in from a higher dimension. Bits and pieces of those places fell on Earth from all directions, this time in tridimensional Euclidean space. Satellites, the ISS, and space debris all were wiped clean from orbit. Even those that didn't crash with the falling debris were knocked off orbit by the shockwaves. On the ground, power distribution lines were disrupted and most power facilities were left abandoned by their dead staff. Most of these had emergency shutdown routines that engaged in a few days. Some others had a survivor among their staff that followed protocol and activated their SCRAM switches, stopping the power plant. Long-distance communication disappeared the internet along with it. The world was plunged into technological darkness. Nine hundred and ninety-nine out of every thousand human beings perished immediately in the pulse of magical energy from the torn spatial boundary. Spirits were rent asunder and vanished, their fate neither salvation nor damnation, only oblivion. The criteria used for this culling was latent magic potential. It didn't discriminate against education, gender, age, or ethnic group. But of the around seven million survivors, most would meet their doom moments later. Those on moving vehicles, like the ones driving on highways suddenly had to contend with high-speed uncontrolled cars and trucks driven by corpses. Trapped in their vehicles and helpless, they became part of the long snake of crushed metal. Very few survived. Those in the air or out in the sea were alone and probably unable to control their rides. Airplanes crashed, and ships kept their course or drifted away, depending on their autopilot. Several ended their own lives in utter despair after seeing their loved ones die in front of them. Another large group would die at the hands of other survivors. Violence and aggression became the norm. Only a few sparse pockets of not-so-sane survivors managed to band together and cooperate for the sake of mutual survival. The sole survivor in a five-over-one apartment building in Georgia, a girl became the keystone to humanity's survival. Sara's fabulous System Apocalypse had just started. She has only one remark. It was anything but fabulous. * * Updates every Wednesday and Sunday.
