《Re:Spider》The Walking Flower

i triumphantly held up a leg as i covered the bat in more silk. after it was completely covered, ´Enzyme Spray... i wonder, how strong will this be?...´ the liquid left my fangs, and i stared down at the large bag of bat. i put a string arund it, and while i walked away, i kept releasing silk. this way, i could easily get back to it. ´why didnt i do this when i left?...´
but before i had even gotten down from the tree, i started to feel drowsy. ´oh, shit, right, i had... mimiced... ugh, better get... back to bat...´ i dragged up my drowsy body to the bat, and i spent a few seconds on making a small nest by the bat. my vision faded as my body prepared to grow and change.
later on, when i woke up, i was 7.5cm smaller. but this was fine, as i would at least keep this size. i looked around, and saw the bat. ´oooohh, right, thats what happened... better grab a bite, who knows when i get to eat again...´ i stuck my fangs into the sac, expecting it to be a bit hard and thick. surprisingly, it was all liquid. in fact, it had the thickness of blood, or even water. i was pleasantly surprised as i ate the bat. i didnt eat all of it, but i ate until i felt like i was about to burst.
´phuuu, now then, lets explore and try to level up! he he, i wonder if i have some sort of level cap...´ i left the bat again, never to return again. this time, i travelled by trees, as i now realized having to transform every time i want to walk would be very inconvenient. what if i fell asleep during a hunt?

after a while of walking, i reach a clearing. it was still raining, but atleast the plants were cool. as i was in wonder, staring at plants, i saw something stare back at me. it was about 6-7cm long, and it was standing on a pretty pink flower. i would never have seen it, had it not shot out two syches at me. i had held up one of my arms in defence, and the scyfes easily penetrated it, pain shooting through my body. it was only about a forth of my size, yet i jumped back in fear. its body was pink and white, and looked very much like that of an orcid. its legs were flat and rather big, resembeling that of an orchid.
´what the fuck... a praying mantis? why are you pink!´ the mantis retracted its limbs, and took another stance, ready to pierce my carapace. ´ha! you think i would go closer to you? he he, i already know how to fight back! ha ha, take this! Venemous Acidic Spray!´ instead of injecting it like i usually do, instead i sprayed it on the mantis. it tried jumping back, spreading a pair of wings in order to fly away. for whatever reason, it only slowly glid back to the ground, not flying or anything.
the acidic venom hit the flower, and some smoke rose. it seems like the flower was now slowly melting. ´scary stuff indeed...´ i turned back my sttantion to the mantis, which was now wobbling back to its legs. ´if its so hard to fly, why would you need wings??´ as i was internally questioning the mantis, i instead shot out a leg of my own, hoping to pierce it. it hastly wobbled over to the side, falling again. but before it got itself back on its legs, i once again shot some acid on it. it tried jumping back, but the acid got his leg. it didnt melt off, but it made a small hole.

´welp, since the venom is now in your system... see ya later alligator´ after a few feeble attempts to hit me, it fell to the floor. ´poor sod, never should have tried to attack me.´
´yay, level up is good. so, two more levels, is it?´ i left the dead mantis be, as i didnt need food. i might regret it later, but it would be fine. there were many animals around there.
i didnt really know what to do, but since it was getting dark, i decided sleeping would be a good option. i climbed up a large tree, and made a small nest to crawl into. after that, i slept.

Cheep!?
Charles Monroe survived the disappearance of his parents, did his best to hold things together for himself and his sister. He survived when she, too, vanished, leaving behind nothing but a cryptic note. He was devastated, but he kept moving forward as best he could. Cancer didn’t put him down, and after suffering through several rounds of chemotherapy, Charles Monroe thought that things might finally be looking up. With no other option but the dark oblivion of death, Charles chooses to make a deal with the spirit of a distant world that's seeking a wild card in its battle against the gods, monsters, and mortals that threaten its existence. Someday, he’ll find where his family went. Someday, he’ll uphold his end of the bargain and hunt beings powerful beyond anything he’s ever known. Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent

No Strings Attached [Rewritten]
Warning Just so you know, you better be paying attention to the chapter title or else it's going to be like travelling across multiverses. Explanation Due to a single comment made by a wonderful person, or some douchebag in real life, I have decided to create two seperate stories. A rewritten version, and the original version. The rewritten version will somewhat follow the original storyline of the original version, but will have extra content, extra side stories of course rewritten personalities. The original one will be like a rough draft of where I want the story to go. Like for instance, the original story is like the first Link from 'Legend of Zelda', choppy but fun to read. The rewritten story is the Link from any game during and after Windwaker, smooth and somewhat follows the main premise. Overall both are going to be probably terribly done but hey, I'm creating a furture and past story so what should you expect. - Styx Whatever just put up the revised description. - Ariel Edited Summary Jay W. Blu, a dashing and charming rich boy who's been spoiled his whole life. He is very cocky, has a case of egomania and isn't exactly what you call a 'Relatable Main character', unless you somehow fit one of these descriptions and then relate all you want. He had everything you would probably want if you weren't pessimistic, realistic, or chronically depressed. But as most reincarnation/summoning stories go, he get's himself killed at whatever age he was and is sent to another world. Normally, he would be summoned as something you would call a hero, but since that's to cliche by my standards he is something else. Instead of being the hero of the people that he was told about by a friend, he instead summoned as the anti-hero aka, 'The Hero of Demons'. Now he must traverse the lands slaying opposing heroes as he tries to keep his mind straight, although it's to late. There will be weird people along the journey like a fangirling war general, a hive mind and a manly magical girl? Oh well, Jay is too pure to see love anyways.
