“GRRROOOARRR!!!”
“Kai!” (Eri)
“Uhm! Leave it to me!” (Kai)
Kai said it as he dashed toward the chimera while aiming for its third and last head.
“Assassination...” (Kai)
“GROOA-!!!?!”
The cry of the chimera in front of them was soon stopped by Kai as he sliced of it’s head as if it was some kind of butter.
……
Phew…
Kai let out a sigh of relief as he saw the monster’s enormous body fell on the ground.
It’s hard to believe that this skill is still level 1...It can pretty much kill stuff in one hit if aim right, But the mana cost is much higher than any skill that I own so failure is not an option.
“Soul absorption…” (Kai)
Kai murmured as he saw the opportunity to absorb the dead chimera’s soul.
Little did he know that Eri was being able to see everything that he was up to with her left eye.
“………”
“Good job, Kai!” (Eri)
Eri said it as she ran toward him.
“Uhm! You too.” (Kai)
Kai replied with a smile on his face.
….
The monster is getting ridiculously stronger as we get closer toward the highest level of the mountain…Not to mention the air is pretty thin up here…
Well not like I am having any problem with it but it doesn’t seems to be the same for Eri.
Kai said it to himself as he took a peek at Eri’s status.
“Shall we take a break?” (Kai)
“U-uhm, that would be nice.” (Eri)
“Alright then.” (Kai)
Kai took out two Sterio fruit from the storage ring as he finishes his line.
“.......” (Eri)
“Here you go.” (Kai)
“Thanks you..” (Eri)
Eri said it while looking at Kai’s storage ring enviously.
After all it’s not something one can simply get their hand on, such item can even cause war among countries for a kid to have it to use as an everyday tool is just out of question...
*Sigh*
“What is wrong? Eri?” (Kai)
Kai asked as he heard Eri sighing.
“No...It’s nothing..” (Eri)

“I see?…”(Kai)
Kai responded with a curious face...
*Sigh*
“………” (Eri)
Yesterday sure was tough…
Somehow we were able to clean up the misunderstanding, Even though mother forgave Eri, our people still haven’t trust her yet, so as punishment she had to help us out with our daily duties…Which didn’t went well at all…
In the end they put her under my control since I was the one who brings her back, Eri is very clumsy when it come to doing chores...No, the word clumsy is an insult to her clumsiness…
However! she is super reliable in combat, After listening to mom’s words, Eri suddenly began to take everything so seriously.
Anyways, since I rely on my melee skills 80% of the time Eri is a big help when it come to killing a large crowd or to inflict heavy damage on a tough enemy.
I should probably level up my magic skills as well...Right now I have so many skills that I don’t even used..Luckily enough that they level up automatically as I absorbs the monster’s souls but to master each and every of them is going to be a challenger…
*Sigh*
………..
“K-kai??…” (Eri)
Eri look at him worriedly as she noticed him sighing for the 2nd time.
Ah...I was lost in my thoughts yet again, wasn’t I?
“I am sorry...I couldn’t do the job properly..” (Eri)
Ehh?? She is still thinking about it??
“No..It’s fine really, beside you have been helping us with the scouting and hunting haven't you?” (Kai)
“U-uhm...But that was because that I screwed up at everything else they entrust me with..” (Eri)
…..
“ But you did your best didn’t you?” (Kai)
“O-of course I did...But-” (Eri)
“Then it’s fine isn’t it?” (Kai)
“No...It wasn’t enough..” (Eri)
Eri replied as she was looking down.
……
“It’s fine that you can’t do anything right away, as long as you always try your best I am sure that you will eventually be good at it just like how good you are now with magic.” (Kai)

“K-kai…” (Eri)
Eri said it with a flushed face…
“Well, probably….” (Kai)
Eri was surprised yet happy about Kai’s words but the last one was totally unnecessary which left her behind with a pair of teary eyes and red puffy cheeks…
“………”(Eri)
“Sorry, I was just kidding! Don’t cry now!” (Kai)
“Who is crying?!” (Eri)
*Sniff sniff*
“Humph!!” (Eri)
Eri responded as she turned her face to the other side.
Did I just switched her tsundere mode on?…
“Say, Eri…” (Kai)
“W...what is it?.....” (Eri)
Eri responded with a curious yet annoyed tone…
“What are you going to do from now on? You have achieved what you came for haven’t you?” (Kai)
“I...I still don’t know…” (Eri)
“I see…H-how about staying here for a while-?!?” (Kai)
“!?!?”(Eri)
“GROOOOOAAAAARRRRR!!!!”
God damn it, not again!!
……………
Wait… ISN’T THAT A DRAGON?!?
A wyvern with the size of a truck on all fours, suddenly appeared on top on the mountain flying toward the couple with the speed of a jet.
“D-dragon?!” (Kai)
“No, that is a wyvern…” (Eri)
“I see…” (Kai)
This one is the biggest monster that we have encountered so far.
The scales doesn’t seems to be that hard especially on it’s neck and stomach…Still this is the weakest of the dragon species huh?…
“Eye of spirit…” (Kai)
System

Tsk! It's still not close enough for me to see everything.....
Up till now we haven't seen or encountered a single wyvern so why now?? And why is there only one?!....More importantly, a monster with equipment??
“Kai! It’s coming!” (Eri)
“I know!!” (Kai)
Kai shouted toward Eri as he barely dodge the Wyvern’s claws with his divine step.
“Hooo~” (Wyvern?)
Did that thing just talk?!?
Kai turned around to look at Eri to see if she heard the same thing.
But there were no change of expression on her face.
…..
“It’s coming back!” (Eri)
Eri shouted out as she began to pour even more mana on her shield.
“.....”
Why isn’t it using any skills??
*WHOSH!*
The sound of the wyvern flashing by trying to get its claws on Kai can be heard yet again.
And why is it only targeting me!?!
“KAI!” (Eri)
Eri shouted out for Kai as she noticed the Wyvern’s goal.
“Stay back! Do not use your skills on it until I give you a sign!” (Kai)
“A-alright!” (Eri)
That spell reflection is going to be a big problem for Eri…We better not use magic recklessly against it.
*WHOSH!!*
“Tsk! Stop struggling, human!” (Wyvern?)
“……………” (Kai)
DID IT JUST TALK AGAIN!?! I am not imagining things right!?!
Kai said it as he heard the wyvern speaking out loud.
“Eri! Did you hear it speak?!” (KAI)
“HUH!? What are you talking about??? More importantly shouldn’t we run away!?” (Eri)
“We can’t...It will catch up in no time!” (Kai)
“……” (Eri)
As I thought she can’t hear it, more importantly..
What do we do?? At this rate we are going to run out of stamina before it does…
“Kai!” (Eri)
Crap!!
Out of panic Kai used divine step to launch himself to the left side as he saw the wyvern coming at him at full speed.
“Wha?!?” (Kai)
But he was soon being immobilized by an invisible wind wall in front of him as he tried to dodge.
Crap!
“Got ya!!” (Wyvern?)
The wyvern said it cheerfully as it grabbed onto Kai’s body with its enormous claws.
“KAI!!” (Eri)
Eri shouted out but it was impossible for Kai to hear in his current state...
I-I can’t take it anymore….
“B-BLEGHHHHH!!!” (Kai)
“………” (Wyvern?)
Kai ended up throwing up then fainted as his fear of heights kicked in…

Crimson Pervert
Markus gets - quite literally - thrown into an RPG Fantasy world. Casually gaining game-breakingly great power is the very first thing of course, but afterwards travelling the world, building a harem and having plain fun is on the agenda. Note: No room to hide the fact that this is heavily inspired by the "Death March" web novel. I will give it my own touch by not having a Japanese-ish main character (Japan is cool and everything, but why have a harem if you never ever do something "H" with them?). Everything (characters, story, etc) is basically my creation, but I consider it a re-think of the original, so I can neither call it an "Original" nor a "Fan Fic". Don't expect it to be overly innovative. I will add an 18+ warning as soon as something like that happens, the first chapter just has a bit of undramatic blood. Comments welcome.

What could go wrong?--------------------A Prequel/Side-story of The Gam3 by Ephemerality (with permission) which you can read on this site - http://royalroadl.com/fiction/1193. You won't need to read that to read this. This is **not** a coordinated effort and so may venture out of canon with the original (although I will try very hard to avoid that, it will happen eventually). I hope you will enjoy it regardless.

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.
