《ARC》Book 1 Chapter 9 System Interface

Noah had purchased items that hovered in the air between him and the merchant lit up by an unknown source. The first item was the [Zero-Space Dimension Ring], which looked like a simple copper band engraved with near-invisible intricate patterns that an observer would need to lean in close to see. The ring patterns would flare as they caused the wearer's mind to be drawn inside the ring to see the contents stored within its own personal pocket dimension, allowing the wearer to retrieve or store items inside at will.
The next item floating between them was the sword augmented with the [Wind Blade] ability. The System had crafted its shape and length to be suitable for Noah's physique out of an unknown material. The sword appeared to be lightweight and elegant, surrounded by a barely perceptible distortion of the air around the blade. It was also decorated with intricate patterns similar to the ring but serving a different function, with a green crystal containing a single flickering light embedded into the hilt. There was a faintly glowing symbol in the centre of the hexagonal crystal. It was only noticeable if an onlooker focused their mind on the crystal while an ability was active. The symbol was a distinctive ornate, stylized blade representing the [Wind Blade] ability.
The final item of any note was the armour chest plate, augmented with the [Spirit Armour] ability. It was perfectly crafted to fit Noah's form. It appeared to be fashioned from the same alien mysterious metal as the sword. It consisted of a chest piece with shoulder pads that were both also covered in ornate patterns, not unlike the sword yet far more intricate and covering more of the armour's surface. It was also customized in a style that he subconsciously found appealing, which matched the sword's lightweight and elegant design. There was a faint transparent, ethereal blue glow floating above its surface. The chest plate could even be concealed beneath a set of clothing without it being too bulky or noticeable. There was also a blue hexagonal crystal with a flickering light set into the centre of the chest piece with an almost unnoticeable glowing distinctive ornate armour, which is the symbol representing the [Spirit Armour] ability floating inside it.

After Noah finished admiring his new purchases, he donned the chest plate and then sheathed the sword at his waist. He then slid the [Zero-Space Dimension Ring] onto his wedding ring finger so that people will not suspect it. He took one of the [Grade 1 Potion of Healing] to use later. Afterwards, he touched the ring to the remaining [Grade 1 Potion of healing] and [Grade 1 Rations], which silently disappeared into thin air.
『Is that all you wish to purchase? If you have any Crystals, they can also be exchanged within the Store. If that is all, I can send you back outside.』 the merchant said.
"That's all for now. Thank you for your help," Noah replied.
『Please inform other life forms that you encounter about the Store. I will now send you out into a location with no soulless present. Come again.』
"Goodbye," Noah bid the alien merchant farewell.
The world of darkness surrounding him faded back into the world he was more familiar with. He found himself standing in the middle of a deserted street surrounded by the now-familiar sight of debris and abandoned vehicles, but in a different location from where he initially entered the prismatic beam of light.

The sky was now dark and still obscured by thick cloud cover. Noah could hear the sound of crashing waves nearby and should be standing on a street that was sloping down towards the docks not too far from the harbour he was initially heading to. He felt a tug at the back of his mind.

When he investigated, he found a display that possessed a hexagonal outline floating inside his consciousness that contained four symbols. At the bottom of the hexagon, there was a line containing two symbols. When Noah focused on them, the System's voice echoed in his head, informing him that these symbols represented his equipped items, the [Grade 1 Wind Blade Sword] and [Grade 1 Spirit Armour Chestplate]. The symbol for his rare [Six Spirit Arms] ability floated in the middle line with an unfamiliar symbol at the peak of the hexagon. The System's voice once again appeared to inform him of the description.

[Omega Role]
[Omega Role receives a portion of life force from any creature they defeat in combat.]
A single flashing light flickered at different points of the hexagon in an unknown sequence at random intervals. He didn't understand what the light represented.
That's the same voice I hear in my head when an announcement is made. It must belong to the System the alien merchant in the Store talked about earlier. That hexagon must have something to do with the Origin Crystals it mentioned. While I think those symbols must represent the abilities I can use. It also has my Omega role listed. It seems similar to a phone app screen to me. But the apps have real-world effects.
While Noah was lost in his thoughts, he heard the sound of a muffled gunshot ringing in the distance followed by an inhuman roar of rage echoed by people screaming. He looked at the [Grade 1 Potion of Healing] gripped in his hand, letting out a sigh before he brought it to his lips and drank it in one long gulp. It tasted bitter and foul, causing Noah to start coughing as he felt energy similar to when he activates his [Six Spirit Arms] ability to flow towards the slash on his back.
He didn't have time to investigate the results as he quickly drew his sword then looked at the buildings around him before deciding if he should head in the direction of the gunshot. In the end, Noah couldn't resist as he let out a curse before running towards the docks in the direction the sounds were coming from.
***
As Noah came into sight of the harbour, he saw two soulless on the street ahead of him sprinting in the same direction. Now was a good time to test out his new sword. He tightly gripped the sword in his hand as he drew near to the first of the soulless. The soulless was a large, well-built male at least a head taller than Noah. It had a distorted face, trademark to all soulless.
Noah felt the now-familiar surge of energy flow from his origin crystal, down through his arm into the hand holding the sword as he awkwardly swung it. He felt noticeably drained as a ripple was seen in the air, emanating from the sword as a wind blade was released in the direction of the oblivious soulless.

The Ramayana - Lakshmila's POV
We have read The Ramayana as kids and always knew it to be the story of Rama and his consort Sita. Every character has an important role to play. But not all of them have found much importance is any of the version. One such character is Urmila and her story with Lakshmana. All versions mention Urmila's sacrifice as "Unparalleled" but none depicted it. This story is an attempt to present the story of Ramayana from Urmila and Lakshmana's POV. Note : This story is fictional. The characters are the same. This story is an insight of The Ramayana through Lakshman and Urmila's eyes. There would be Nobody's POV also. The events are the same but the depiction is part of fiction. Parts of the story is loosely based/inspired from Sita's Sister but I have taken creative liberty to give my character more edge and depth.
