《Ancient Cultivator in Modern World》Chapter 7: Divine Pills Sect[3]

The aura of deterrence that came from Khan's body infiltrated the man's mind. An enormous amount of information flashed in Khan's mind, while the Divine Emperor Qi's remaining strand became even smaller.
The information that Khan retrieved from the man's body contained everything that related to him. There inside the man's memories, he could see an emaciated old man giving a small slight small as he talked with the man.
Khan frowned, he could barely understand the distorted words that the man spoke. Because he forcefully entered the man's mind, with such a small amount of Divine Emperor Qi. The information he retrieved barely gave him clues as to who ordered the man to follow him.
Although the power he used was the power he had at the apex. A person's soul was still too complicated to understand, even him Khan who had extraordinary soul control, with his current cultivation, he was still unable to extract precise information from the man's mind.
But the clues he had obtained was enough for him to determine who the mastermind was if he saw him. But that was another matter, altogether, for he still has to do something about the man before him, who now looked listless, with a slightly drooping face, thanks to the damage to his soul.
Though he won't become a retard, the matters of today will be deeply engraved in his heart. Khan wondered if he should just get rid of the man and erase all evidence. But soon, he shook his mind. 'This is impossible, many people had seen us earlier, if this man dies, I would be the primary suspect.'
After pondering for several seconds. A look of understanding flashed inside Khan's eyes as he looked towards the man with a slight smile. His eyes narrowed as the Divine Emperor Qi once again invaded the man's soul.
They could not believe it...
The scene before them was something akin to what they could never imagine in their entire lifetime. That Elder Maverick would be close to someone other than his bosom friends.
But the reality was always something that people could not expect. And yes, that unexpected was happening before them. That venomous Elder Maverick was together with someone who they don't even know where did he come from, and they were walking while holding each other's shoulders.
The man beside Elder Maverick looked extremely miserable. His robe in tatters, and he looked like a mummy, thanks to the yellowish bandages that covered his upper body. His face was average that if you made him stand in a crowd, no one would give any single thought towards him. Though they don't know where that boy came from, the small badge on his left chest dissipated all of their suspicions.
Though Elder Maverick was toxic to the community, he actually loved those people whom he thought as important, such as his disciples, and his best friends.
But even though, seeing the look in their eyes as they scoured the bodies of the female disciples sent shivers down the spines of those who watched them do it.
"Hmmm...Reggis, there's some delicious perky butts, right there."
"Hehehe... Good choice, Elder Maverick. But I still prefer those mountains, right there."
The two squinted their eyes and surveyed the area, they whispered to each other with lasciviousness in their tone. Reggis even licked his lips and rubbed his hands together as if preparing for a big feast.
The female disciples, after seeing this, immediately ran for their life while covering their sensitive regions as they scrambled back towards their residences. Even the male disciples couldn't help, but curse after witnessing what they chose.. 'Fuck! They're good!'

The two continued their walk towards the Punishment Hall, all the while ogling the curvaceous bodies of the female disciples. Thanks to the constant training and diet which consisted of the healthiest spirit foods. The bodies of these disciples developed really well.
After about one hundred meters away from the Punishment Hall. The two suddenly took a sharp turn towards an isolated area. After a while, Khan came out with a small downcast smile on his face, thankfully he disguised himself by moving his muscles if not, he would become an unforgettable existence, especially to the female disciples.
Elder Maverick would later wake up and find that he has no memories of what happened today whatsoever and that all the disciples though would respect him in the surface, would now give him a look of disdain hidden within their eyes.
The poor Elder Maverick didn't know that he had already met the person whom he was tasked to meet with, for he had already forgotten everything related to Khan.
Khan once again moved towards the Punishment Hall, now that he got a closer look towards it. He found that the Punishment Hall didn't really have any significant changes, it was still the same.
The majestic pavilion which was three hundred meters high still looked as imposing as ever. Although it somewhat looked affected by the concept called time. It still emanated it's majestic aura to those who looked towards it.
The walls of the tall pavilion were painted with red and blue. If one examined closely, they could faintly see the outline of a yin-yang image of an Azure Dragon and a Phoniex.
Khan shook his head and sighed, as he took steps that would further decrease his distance from the Punishment Hall. His eyes had a sharp glint in it, as he decided in his heart.
'If someone helps me or offers something to me out of altruism, I would repay it ten times, but if someone harms me, or someone whom I deem important, I will repay it a hundred times!'
This was always Khan's principle in life, and this principle had helped him achieve the peak of cultivation at that time. Now, although he was back to square one, where he knows nothing about the world around him. He was determined to keep his principle, even if it costs him his life.
"This is outrageous! I even told you that I would give you a five hundred year Blood Ginseng and a Tier 3 Pill as long as you release my granddaughter! How could you do this?!" A grieved voice echoed in the skies. Khan could hear faint noises of arguing people and weapons clashing together.
Thanks to the badge on his left chest, Khan didn't have any obstructions as he moved towards the source of the voice. There he found an Elder who was in the autumn of his life, his head full of yellowish-white hair, thanks to his advancing age. The Elder wore a fiery robe, but the insignia of the Divine Pills Sect was absent on his left chest, indicating a much lower status.
But what made Khan frown his eyebrows was the fact that the Elder was kneeling on the ground. The Elder's face full of purple bruises and his left hand drooped weakly on the side, clearly severely injured.
"The fuck are you talking about?! Do you really think that such trash is enough to pay for my son's eyes?! Are you dumb or what?" The voice came from a middle-aged man who wore the same robes that Elder Maverick had worn, clearly. The man was also an Elder in the sect.

Hearing the man's words, Khan deduced that the Elder begging on the ground was Elder Gabica, the person who was related to Lily, and the middle-aged man was the father of the youth whom he had blinded earlier.
Khan's eyes narrowed, so you're the tree of that fruit!
"But sir! I really don't have any more to offer! These are all of my wealth! I don't have anything more to offer!" The Elder said in a bleak and desperate voice.
"Tsssk! Bring that wretch here! I want her to see the moment where I behead his grandfather!" The middle-aged man cruelly ordered, on his face was a bloodthirsty smile, and in his eyes was the utmost killing intent.
A pained voiced sounded followed by something being dragged. Khan tightly clenched his fists when he saw that the one being dragged was Lily. His eyes reddened in anger. However, he forcefully held himself down, his numerous life and death battle experience had told him that this was not the right timing to move.
He retreated back to the bushes, lowered his heartbeat and even extinguished his breathing, he seemed to became one with nature as he squatted there, the muscles on his leg, ready to burst with power anytime. A colorless qi gathered on the tip of his fingers, gathering momentum and potential.
"Grandpa!" Lily cried out in a pained voice filled with anguish, seeing the current condition of his grandfather, she knew that everything was her fault. If she was not desperate to save the youth that he had found. Everything that happened today would not happen.
Although the middle-aged man had shown hostility towards his grandfather, he was not too open with it. After all, the sect still forbids infighting amongst elders. But if there was a strong enough reason such as his son getting injured by that wretch, he would instantly move to remove them to the roots.
But Lily didn't have any regrets, in her heart, saving a person in the brink of death was natural. Her sense of altruism was too deep that she was determined to be stupid by the people in the cultivation world. After all, the cultivation world was full of treacherous people who were always ready to backstab you.
Beings like Lily was too rare to be found. The eyes of Khan who lurked in the bushes turned red upon seeing this sight. Although he had just met Lily, and that they didn't spend any significant amount of time together. Lily's actions had proven that she was ready to sacrifice herself for a person whom she had just met, if not, Khan would be the one in this predicament, not Lily. But because Lily had confessed that she was the one who struck the middle-aged man's son. The man had struck all of his anger towards Lily, resulting in her current situation.
With her robes in tatters and purplish line marks all over her body, especially her back, god knows what kind of horrendous she had endured all this time, just for the sake of someone she had just met.
He would normally call her naive, but seeing that what she did was for his sake, he was unable to rebuke her actions. Lily's position in Khan's heart immediately reached the peak. 'No matter what, I will kill those who would harm Lily and his family!' Khan had decided in his heart.
"Lily!"
"Grandpa!"
The anguish filled shout of the two echoed in the surroundings. Even those disciples who were watching afar could feel a tug in their heartstrings. But even so, they shook their heads in dismay, the middle-aged man's position in the sect was clearly higher than Elder Gabica, although they wanted to help, they didn't have the desire to be implicated.
"Release Grandpa! I was the one who struck your son, Grandpa is innocent!" Lily cried, her voice sounded hoarse with all the tears she had cried.
"No! Don't talk anymore, Lily! I will take all responsibility so, sir! Please! Don't hurt Lily anymore!" Elder Gabica kowtowed until his forehead became red with blood.
"Grandpa!" Lily shouted in agony, seeing her grandfather becoming like this. The pain in her heart increased, her voice becoming even more hoarse.
"Okay, okay! Fine! Since I admire your acting skills together with your granddaughter, I will not hurt her anymore, okay?" The middle-aged man spoke with gentle words, if people didn't know about his vicious nature, they would feel that he spoke without ill intent.
Elder Gabica nodded like a chicken pecking rice, his eyes revealed relief in it. Clearly, he didn't see the ill-will hidden within the middle-aged man's words.
"But since your granddaughter, after all, injured my son, I will still ask for compensation. The blood ginseng and the Tier 3 Healing Pills aside, I will borrow her for about a year, how about it?" The middle-aged man gave a mocking smile.
Though Elder Gabica was a man in his advanced age, he was not stupid, how could he not understand the words of the middle-aged man?
"No! Sir! Please... I will do anything, please return her to me!" Elder Gabica cried out with even more intensity as despair filled his eyes.
The middle-aged man snorted
"I have shown you the way to heaven, yet you choose to walk the path to hell! You're testing my patience!" The middle-aged man clenched his right fist as a fiery red aura encompassed it. He leaped towards Elder Gabica with his fist outward, aiming towards the Elder's head.
"NOOO!!!" Lily screamed out in despair, desperately struggling in the hands of his captor, despair filled her eyes as she watched the middle-aged man's fist flying closer towards the head of his grandfather.
Elder Gabica's eyes widened in shock, filled with hopelessness, he tried to gather his qi to counter the middle-aged man's attack. But he gave a crestfallen smile as he found out that he will not be able to withstand the middle-aged man's attack.
The time around him became infinitely slow, the middle-aged man's fist. The despairing cry of his granddaughter, and the mocking smile of those people around him, he perceived all of them, as clear as spring water.
'So this happens if you're about to die, eh...' Elder Gabica slightly closed his eyes as he looked toward his granddaughter. Of course, he knew about what Lily did, but he didn't blame her about it. For he once had someone whom he loved, who also had the sense of altruism that Lily had.
Thanks to that person, he was able to understand Lily's actions.
He gave a small smile as if everything in the world didn't concern him. He could see a faint illusion that Lily's face became that of the person whom he loved with all of his heart. Her late wife.
Just as he was hit by the middle-aged man's fist. A cold voice echoed in the area, a shadow quickly sneaked between the middle-aged man and Elder Gabica's figure.
"EMPEROR'S DIVIDE!"
A golden divine aura screamed out, causing a huge ruckus in the entire sect.

UPDATES TUES/THURS after chapter 5 Cover art by Tumblr User: @pigeon-princess This book features characters that are related to in many ways to my other novel "Grimoire". While both stories are their own stand alone series, Sun God's Corruption will add a good amount of depth to Grimoire, and Grimoire shows the unfoldings of the world that will eventually come from the events in Sun God's Corruption. I reccomend reading them both interchangably.
