《Ancient Cultivator in Modern World》Chapter 62: Modern Magic

The University of Modern Magic, inside the headmaster's quarters.
A Spatial Tear manifested in the air, several seconds later, three figures emerged from the Tear, their faces painted with dizziness.
"Are the two of you, fine?"
"Yeah..." Holding her urge to vomit, Lily nodded in confirmation, Khan turned his gaze towards Balbadt and signaled, the latter merely stared at him for a while before saying.
"I hate to break this when we're still exhausted, but the two of you will immediately attend this afternoon's class, even though I already placed a pardon, I can't just abuse the system even with my position," Balbadt revealed a smile that hid his intentions, Lily moaned in tiredness and practically flopped on the couch.
Because of Sinbad's pestering about celebrating their victory for two whole weeks, all of them became weary to the bones, even Khan who prided himself in endurance battles couldn't help but complain as he leaped towards the couch where Lily was and embraced her as he tried to sleep.
Lily didn't give a complain, for, in her heart, Khan was already her husband, retorting a hug of her own, the two spooned together and relaxed.
"Sigh...Okay, okay, You still have about thirty minutes for a nap. I'll set an alarm and prepare your uniforms in here, so be sure to wake up, or else..." Balbadt spoke in a menacing tone, he retreated towards his reclining chair, plugged some earbuds and slept.
Sure enough, the room became filled with snoring sounds, as thirty minutes passed like a breeze, a blaring sounds reverberated inside the room, startling the three into consciousness.
[Big-Bro! It's time to wake up!] A life-sized holographic image of a young girl who looked to be in her fifteens materialized in the air and shouted towards Balbadt's direction. Balbadt's face immediately drained of its colors as he literally leaped towards the Control Panel near the door and turned the hologram off.
"What the hell is that?!" Khan asked in confusion, Lily wore a gloating expression as she glanced at Balbadt.
"Hoooh... It seems like our Sect Master here has a peculiar taste when it comes to women..." Lily chimed in, her tone directed at Balbadt.
The expression of the old man reddened, he crossed his arms, snorted, before saying, "Little girl, it seems like your husband didn't really teach you about not teasing adults!" He threw a small vibrating Qi towards Lily's direction, Khan flicked his wrist in response as the vibrating Qi dissipated like smoke.
Lily stuck her tongue out and hid behind Khan, Khan wore a helpless expression on his face towards Lily's teasing, while Balbadt wore an exasperated face as he said, "Brat, you're spoiling her too much!"
Khan shrugged his shoulders indicating that he didn't have a way around it.
In the end, the two reconciled and Lily promised not to tease the old man anymore before being sent off towards the dressing room.
When they arrived at the room, Khan immediately undressed, causing Lily to explode in a furious blush, "W-w-w-what... what the hell are you doing?!" She exclaimed, her eyes momentarily darted on his lower body before frantically averting her gaze and turning her head away.
"What are you acting so embarrassed, for? It's not like you haven't seen my body." Khan nonchalantly spoke, with swift movements, the uniform that Balbadt gave suffused on his body, he stood on before a mirror and adjusted the uniform according to his taste.
The official uniform of the males at the University of Modern Magic composed of a white polo shirt paired with a crimson blazer, on the left chest, an image of a stair with an opened book at the top could be seen.

The lower body outfit was just a simple jet-black trouser that fitted surprisingly good on Khan's stature, he moved in circles and found that on the shoulder part of his blazer, an imprint of two fists clashing together with a 'one' sign above it could be seen.
He once again stared at his image and found that he looked even handsome than before, the contour of his face accentuated his stoic countenance, the pair of deep jet-black eyes emanated a piercing light that could fatal to those of the opposite sex.
His reddish-brown hair that slightly tilted to the side would shake in each of his movements giving him the impression a carefree, young man.
Feeling good about himself, he nodded in approval and glanced at Lily who still stood there with her outfit that came from the Continent of Pride.
"Why are you still wearing that? Here, your uniform, go change." Khan handed over a stack of folded clothes and handed it to the still blushing Lily.
"Ermmm..." Lily took the folded clothes and hugged it on her chest, "C-can... you... help me, change.. cloth...e...s...?" Khan's eyebrows locked, he stared at the blushing like an apple, Lily in disbelief.
"What did you just say?" Khan asked to confirm what he heard.
"I said that... can you... help me... change...?" Lily hid her face from Khan's piercing gaze by embracing the folded clothes and spoke in a hushed tone.
Khan sighed, revealing a gentle expression, he moved behind her and started to unbutton her clothes, as he reached the final button, Lily warned with a small voice, "No perverted stuff... okay?"
Khan chuckled amidst Lily's embarassment before nodding in response, his hands deftly danced and took the clothes that covered her upper body and setting it aside.
His hands sneaked like a snake towards Lily's lower body, but just when he was about to remove her skirt, he heard a muffled moan coming emanating from Lily as his hand touched her bare skin.
A refreshing sensation formed a connection between the two as Khan cursed, 'Damn! The Yin-yang Assimilation Method, circulated by itself!' Thanks to Khan's return to the peak of cultivation and the repairment of his damaged meridians, cultivating the Yin-yang Assimilation Method wouldn't bring him the same immense pain from before.
However, cultivating it with Lily still was extremely exhausted for him, who knows when she would be satisfied? Khan ruefully smiled, the cultivation of his hand technique experiences condensed into this one moment as his right hand danced towards the insides of Lily's skirt and started to display his skills.
Several minutes later, a trembling and flushed Lily sat on a chair, a stream of running water could be heard as Khan washed his hands in the bathroom, just beside the dressing room. He went outside and chuckled when he found that Lily's knees still felt weak from the earlier affair. The latter threw an indignant gaze towards him, yet her expression looked glazed.
"Okay, okay, It's about time that you get dressed up, we only have fifteen minutes before class starts." Khan reminded her,
"I know..." Lily puffed her cheeks in return as she moved, in the end, although she wished for Khan to dress her up, She did the deed herself and stood before a full-body mirror. Khan stared at her figure and nodded in approval.
She wore a pure white blouse paired with a reddish blazer patterned with floral designs and a transparent cape that extended to the knees, the same insignia plastered on the blazer's left chest and on both shoulders which had the same design as Khan's uniform.

Her plump, yet, healthy cheeks suffused a pink glow and the outline of her expression accentuated the symmetry of her face, her chest looked bountiful and in a perfect proportion, her waist, slender, yet abundant, and her arms and legs were slim, slender without looking too unhealthy.
The aquamarine hair that she had, reached her waist, and her jet-black eyes shone with a profound light, and her fair skin, perfected the existence called Lily.
Khan stared at her in a daze, a silhouette of a young woman momentarily overlapped on Lily's silhouette, shaking his head, he returned back to reality as a gentle smile leaked on his lips.
Lily turned around, greeted him with arms akimbo and upper body, slightly leaned towards him as she spoke in a coquettish tone, "Well, do I look, good?"
"You don't!" Khan immediately retorted.
"Wha..."
"You just don't look good, you look extremely good!" Khan moved his head towards her forehead and pecked, before rubbing her head and moving towards the exit.
His swift movements left Lily unable to retaliate as she stood there, with a madly beating heart and a furious blush, she hastily moved and caught up with Khan.
With Lily beside him, the two moved towards the direction of their classroom, the Commoner Class A.
Although the two perfected their specialized examination, due to the fact that they didn't take the generalized exam, they were grouped with the other students who also took the specialized tests or those who were reserves.
Khan and Lily were classmates as they arrived at a door, Khan peeked and noticed that a young woman in her mid-twenties was talking before a podium with the students listening to her intently.
Khan found it hard to interrupt with that kind of atmosphere and just stood there with an awkward smile on his face.
A student with a pair of glasses noticed their presence and signaled to the teacher, Lily and Khan flinched as they found that the teacher stared at them with a menacing gaze.
She moved with heavy footsteps and opened the sliding door, "Seriously? It's the first day of school, yet you guys are already late?!" She scolded in a harsh tone, Khan's lips twitched as he didn't have any retort towards her scolding.
In the end, the two sat beside each other near the window as the teacher resumed her discussion.
"Just because, the two of you are late doesn't mean that I would restart the discussion, I will start from where I left off." She gave one final gaze towards Khan before speaking.
"According to the Scientists that discovered the existence of Mana, Mana is something that existed everywhere for as long as there is a desire or a need for it, They are also called, Thought Particles as they contain the information that the caster wanted to express to rewrite a certain phenomenon depending on their will."
"It took them about ten years before they were able to invent the existence called Runes and Rune Decipherers so that humanity can directly tap on that latent power hidden within our bodies."
"Runes are created by infusing a part of your will and engraving it into something tangible so that your will could transform into reality. At first, it was considered to be nonsense by those non-believers, however, as magicians after magicians surfaced in the modern world, they had no choice but to accept the existence of the so-called Mana."
"No one knows about the origin of this mysterious energy. Some believed that it came from Lord Gaben, others said that it came from our soul while scientists believed that it already existed since the dawn of time."
She paused for a while before taking a device that looked like a vambrace on the bag that laid on the podium, "This is the so-called Rune Decipherers, in reality, you could transform your will into reality just by relying on the Decipherer alone, however, it would be unstable and could cause harm."
Tapping on the buttons of the Rune Decipherer, a stream of Mana/Soul Energy flowed from her body towards the vambrace as a sizzling sound crackled.
"Look, I will try to transform my will into a ball of fire." She grunted as a burst of explosion occurred in mid-air startling the observing students. She chuckled and scanned her gaze towards the frightened students before saying.
"As you can see, although I willed it to become a ball of fire, it doesn't look like a ball." Khan's gaze landed on the fire that materialized in the air, the shape of the fire was unclear, sometimes, it would become square, and sometimes, it would flicker, trying its best to become a ball.
"However!" She dispersed the ball of flame and continued, "Because of the existence of Runes, we are now able to translate our will into a much stable language of which the Mana in the surrounding air could process."
She once again tapped on the Rune Decipherer and the same light shone within her body that poured on the Decipherer on her arm.
But this time, on the air before her palm, a small rune, the size of a plate materialized in the air before her followed by a crackling sound as a ball of fire materialized in the air before her.
This time, the shape of the flame was clear and precise, "As you can see, the ball of flame I made with my will translated as a Rune is stable, right?"
The students and Khan nodded in response, Khan who found it boring to watch a person demonstrate her knowledge about Runes in front of the person who reached the peak of it, now found it interesting as he stared with a feverish light in his eyes.
"Guah!" Khan suddenly exclaimed and hurriedly covered his mouth, he glanced at Lily who sat beside him and found that she stared at him with a threatening light.
Khan chuckled, he pinched Lily's puffed cheeks in retaliation.
"You!" A shout reverberated in the entire room, the listening students froze before they stared at the direction where her finger pointed as Khan felt numerous pitying gazes descending on his body.
The teacher stared at him with an irritated gaze, "Is my lesson really that boring that you started flirting under my watch?"
She walked towards him with hastened footsteps before slamming a book on his table, Khan's eyebrows lifted, "What?" the female teacher noticed Khan's expression and spoke.
"Nothing."
"Hmmph! As punishment, you'll be the one who'll demonstrate here! Without any runes!" She declared as the pitying gazes from the students around Khan increased in intensity, Khan's eyebrows locked as he thought, 'Why are they looking at me like that? Is demonstrating, really that hard?'
The teacher wore a cocky expression as she stared at the indifferent Khan, 'Hmmph! Serves you right for flirting under my watchful gaze...' Although demonstrating itself wasn't that hard, the idea of imagining a stable will and transforming it into reality was extremely hard for a freshman, and so, she felt complacent that Khan would definitely fail, if he, had the guts to accept.
But the scene where Khan bowed his head in repentance didn't happen, for amidst the student's shocked gazes, he stood up, stuck his chest out and with an unyielding light in his eyes, walked towards the podium.
"Damn... He's really gutsy for a freshman!"
"Will he really be, okay? Imagining your will really isn't simple as it sounds..."
"Well, soon, we will know the answer."
Clamors echoed amongst the students as they watched figure of Khan who nonchalantly walked towards the podium.
The teacher's expression became filled with irritation and indignance towards Khan, a scheming light shone in her eyes as she spoke.
"Materialize a flame in the shape of the university's emblem!" She commanded, hissing sounds rang amongst the students, for they knew that the more elaborate the materialization was, the harder it was to transform.
In the next instance, their mouths gaped and their eyes widened in shock, for practically in a second, Khan had already completed the teacher's order, and the flame that he materialized didn't even flicker as it raged on.
"Create a water sword!"
"Make a car made from earth!"
"Materialize a miniature rain the size of a palm!"
The teacher shouted several complex orders, but Khan completed it in a breeze, the teacher's expression became filled with disbelief as she stared at the miniature cloud that poured a rain towards the ground.
"T-t-take your seat..." She murmured in a hushed tone.
Ssss...
Hissing sounds resonated amidst the students whose eyes stared at Khan with admiration, Khan maintained his indifferent expression as he nodded and returned to his seat.
"What a goddamned god!"
"He actually made that old hag, surrender?!"
Cries of disbelief soon followed as Khan sat on his chair, Lily rolled her eyes towards Khan's showing off, while the latter only revealed a slight smile and focused in listening to the lecture.
He formed a thought in his mind, he reached the peak of Ancient Magic and now, he would surely try his best to reach the peak of Modern Magic!
With these aspirations in his heart, he looked forward to attending the future lectures of the University of Modern Magic.

Travelers [DROPPED]
DROPPED. The story focuses less on dungeon building than on the why of dungeons and how they fit into the universal order. While I am working from a grand plot, the writing is going slice of life style because I need to do that to work out how things progress into that grand plot. The original story seed idea / synopsis is below. The Grand Tapestry protects Rhofhir from Primal Chaos by imposing Order via patterns. However, the patterns grow stiff, stagnant, and so the Tapestry is nearing a time of Unraveling. The mages of the Arcane Asylum reach out across dimensions, searching for some way to prevent, or at least stall, the coming Unraveling. Where Giants Fall
A fantasy LitRPG about traversing through worlds and slaying giants with nothing but a wooden suit and an army of treants. Nicholas Atkins didn't expect to wake up naked in the glowing woods. What he did expect was waking up to a hangover after last night's party- fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately though, he had worse problems to take care of than a headache. At first he blamed it on the alcohol; from what he recalled in Biology, glowing flowers didn't exactly exist in the realm of reality. However he was as sober as he could be, so next he blamed the drugs, but there was a problem- he didn't have the money to do drugs in the first place. When the fairies came, things became even weirder. Talks of climbing towers, magic tricks, and dinner were all on the table. Of course, dinner was the priority, but so was getting back home. However slowly, Nico realized that he might actually want to stay in this fantasy world. After all, he's had enough listening to Professor Paul's lecture on calculus- the swords and sorceries were just an added bonus. Still, staying in this new world has its own costs- and money is but one thing on that long, long list. Updated everyday except Saturday GMT+8 (Specific time varies by around 30 minutes). Star Wars Episode 7: A Corpse Through Which the Force Speaks
The fall of the Empire heralds dark times for humanity. As the New Republic concedes much of the galaxy to alien rule, a group of special forces stormtroopers must find a way to survive the "new normal". This fanfiction sets an alternate course of events in response to general dissatisfaction with the sequel trilogy. In terms of continuity, this story only takes into account the events of the first six movies and Rogue One. Please note: This story comes from the school of thought that the purpose of art is to provoke thought, rather than distract us from reality. I hope that the disturbing parts of this story do just that! This story is COMPLETE.
