《My Cerberus Girlfriend》Book Two: Chapter 10

“Look out!” Cilla cried, but the lion leaped directly toward Roger. Since the only human didn’t enough time to move, he ducked.
But then, the Cerberus tackled the lion, pushing him away from reaching Roger. Both of them crashed and rolled toward the dune.
The Nemean Lion rose to his feet while the girls remained on his both, clenching their arms around his thick neck.
“You’re going back to the Tartarus, bitch!” Katina shouted.
As if he was saying no, the lion roared and charged. He hopped and back kicked like a bull trying to throw the beast girls off.
“He’s moving too fast!” Cill cried, her voice bouncing up and down by the lion’s motion. “We can’t choke him!”
The Cerberus girls may be strong, but the lion was bigger. Roger wondered how Hercules managed to defeat the giant lion. All he did was grapple the lion with his bare hands. After all, he was the son of Zeus. Perhaps all half god humans possessed powers that could match anything from beyond limits. Monsters were different, born with their own limits without god-like powers.
“Hold on!” Labda shouted as she raised two fingers up and thrust them into the lion’s neck.
The Nemean Lion groaned as he fell into the sand, head first. He turned silent.
Roger raced toward the girls. “Did you killed him?”
They dismounted off the fallen lion and tipped his head.
“He is out,” said Labda. “I struck his pressure point on his neck. He should remain unconscious for the entire day.”
“Damn, I wished we killed him,” Katina complained through her panting breath.
Roger rolled his eyes. She is so bloodthirsty…..
“We better keep moving before he wakes up,” Labda suggested. “The lost souls will not follow us out here.”

Roger looked around. “Anything else out there?”
“Only neutral souls in the Asphodel Plains…..” Labda glared toward the dune distances. “Unless the monsters from the Tartarus are wandering here.”
Roger gulped at that thought. Anything could wander in the desert, waiting to ambush anyone. The creatures could hide in the dunes or swim beneath the sands. Or they could even fly through the dark air, high above the desert area. But Roger knew the girls could protect him, including himself.
“We’ll kill them if we encounter anything,” he said.
Katina smiled at him. “Now that is what I am talking about!”
At least she liked something from him.
*****
Roger kept his eyes scanning the barren wasteland as he followed the Cerberus across a flat dune mount. He wanted to stay aware of anything that might try to ambush him and the girls. But so far he saw nothing hostile.
He only saw dark figures floating around the dunes, wearing black hoods and keeping their heads down as if they were crying. He assumed those phantoms were the neutral souls, sentenced to wander through the Asphodel Plains endlessly. Pretty much, they were the same as the souls in the River of Styx. However, Labda explained when the souls become part of the desert, they lose their memories and identities, becoming similar to machines. Mindless, except they weren’t swimming through a void in the water. Death didn’t seem pleasant to Roger at all.
The Cerberus stopped at the top of a dune, and one of them pointed their finger straight.
“Look, Roger! It’s the Hall of Judgement!” Labda shouted.
“What?” Roger rushed up toward them and followed their gaze.
Miles across the desert stood an enormous stone mountain, bigger than the gate. On the stiff cliff below the mountain wall was a rock-cut architecture with a giant doorway behind six Doric columns. It looked like someone carved the White House’s front porch without painting it white.

“That is where every soul gets judged if they manage to survive from the gate,” Labda explained.
Roger turned to her. “Do we have to go through there?”
“Are you chicken?” Katina teased with a chuckle.
“It is the only way,” said Labda, “but we will make sure the manager of the hall will not judge you.”
“We have our ways with words,” Cilla giggled.
Roger wasn’t afraid, but he doesn’t want to become the mindless souls in the desert and the souls in the river. Good thing the Cerberus was his guide in the Underworld.

End's End
Crow Tempora is an optimistic country bumpkin who knows very little of life in the heart of the world's cities, however behind his easy smile is a stony determination to achieve his goal of accomplishing the impossible- one that he can only reach by winning the Sieve, the largest competition of young Mystics the world has ever seen. Famous across the entire world and loved almost as widely, Gemini Menza has never known a single day of anonymity in her short life. Like most magical prodigies she has spent her years on guard against powerful Immortals attempting to use her as a tool, unlike most she is uniquely gifted and burdened with the position of being the single most magically prodigious individual of her generation- perhaps throughout all of history. Entering the Sieve not to work for victory, but to collect it as a boring chore, she soon finds herself shocked by the difficulty of her tasks, both inside the contest and out. After all, she was also given the privilege of joining at a younger age than anyone else. Machiavellian manipulator Unity Eden is growing tired of the tasks forced onto him by those who control him, unfortunately he also happens to be controlled by the leaders of the largest empire the world has ever seen. While he has little hope of wriggling his way out of it, he intends to make his entry into the Sieve as damaging to them as he can. While most are fixated on the events of the Sieve's stages, intently watching the young and talented as they go head to head to find out who holds the title of strongest, Karma Alabaster has her eyes on the powers behind the curtains- the endless machinations of the Immortals and their servants. Caught between enough crisscrossing schemes to form a spiderweb, she must use every ounce of her not inconsiderable mind to keep herself from playing into another's hands... all while solving a mysterious and seemingly impossible murder. The winds of change are blowing in Bermuda, and only one person will shape them. Cover art by: Nova @no_no_nova on tiktok @no_no_no_nova on ig THREE NEW CHAPTERS POSTED EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

The Happy Village
Note: This story has ended. This is not the final version since it needs a lot of revisions, so this is a testing ground for a newbie like me. Note 2: This novel is also posted on justlightnovels.com. Surrounded by the beauty and grace of Mother Nature, there lies a little village. In serenity the villagers live without much worries except for their jobs and personal lives - after all, there seems to be no major problem at first. Everybody is happy, everybody is well. That goes the same for two girls, Neha and Sachen, who are friends since childhood, and who believe that they will stick with each other forever. But one day, the High Order of the Celestials announces that the gods are angry at the village due to the rise of sin and corruption. They will take extensive measures to ensure the village’s survival, though for the girls, things are not what they seem. A series of events will forever condemn the girls in agony and sorrow, and will tear apart their little hearts.
