《J`nk: Refuse Refuge》Chapter 48 - Broken

The bar swept through the air hitting nothing. There was no way that the slaver could have moved out of the way. It was one thing to think that maybe Jason was seen and at the last moment the slaver had dodged out of the way or rolled with the blow to lessen the harm done, but that’s not what happened and even if it was the slaver’s body was far too large to move in such a way.. The bar hit nothing. The slaver didn’t visibly move, but he was no longer there. This time it wasn’t experience that left Jason off balance, but his lack of anticipating that the slaver would have such an ability. It was not a mistake that Jason should have made. It was one of the few abilities that he knew about as he had encountered it earlier in the arena.
Jason looked around trying to locate where the slaver had gone. He found him when the slaver’s boot impacted on his back, sending him flying into Dork who instinctively twisted to get whatever had hit his back off of him. Dork’s elbow smashed into Jason and sent him into the ground where he dropped the iron bar. Dork turned and looked down. He saw Jason at his feet. Realizing what he had done Dork lifted Jason up by his collar, choking him a bit, but only until he set Jason was back on his feet. “Thanks,” Jason said with obvious annoyance in his tone.
The slaver sent out his whip again, hoping to catch the two off guard, but Jason unsheathed his sword and blocked it. The whip wrapped once again around Jason’s sword and once again he found himself to be unable to do anything but struggle to hold on to his weapon. Jason used all his strength but in the end it was futile. Eventually he lost the game of tug of war and his newly bought sword was yanked from his hands. This time the slaver used the momentum to toss the sword into the group of rioters, not caring whether he injured anyone with his actions.
Before the slaver could return the his whip back to a ready to strike position Jason charged forward, summoning the Orc Sword from his inventory. Even if the armor worn by the slaver could prevent the edge from cutting into him the heft of the blade would be enough to do some major damage Jason thought. That was, after all, what had happened to him. As he approached, he lept into the air to increase the power of his swing, but Jason hadn’t acted quick enough. The whip shot out towards Jason. The slaver believed that he had no way to avoid it, but then he vanished. Just like Jason had experienced before, the slaver’s whip went right through where Jason had been, touching nothing but air.
The reality was that Jason hadn’t vanished or teleported, but that he had activated one of his abilities which moved him so fast from one location to another that it appeared that he had teleported. The place where he arrived was behind the slaver, mid swing, aimed at the small of the small of his back. Jason heard a crack. The slaver was thrown towards Dork who caught him by the neck. The strike was so heavy that a line slowly crept across the Orc Sword and then broke in two, the top half crashing to the ground. The slaver meanwhile cried out horrifically drawing the attention of all the rioter. All eyes were on the slaver and what the Orc would do next. To look at the slaver one would not have seen that there was any damage done to the slaver. His armor didn’t have a blemish on it anywhere that could be found, but the slaver was covered in the armor and nothing that happened to his body could be seen. And even if one could inspect the slaver’s body inch by inch they’d maybe find a bruise, but they’d not have thought that the sound that erupted from the slaver’s mouth would have been caused by just that. That is, until Jason told Dork to let the slaver go, guessing at what had happened.

Dork’s grasp on the slaver relaxed. The slaver dropped to his feet. He seemed to be ok for a moment, but then he began falling forward into the Orc that stood there not knowing what to do. The slaver’s face dragged across the belly of the Orc. His hands, without thought, went to find some sort of support, but his grasp only found the shorts of Dork and as the slaver fell to his knees he pulled Dork’s short down. He left a path of drool along the Orc’s stomach leading down into his crotch where his head rested, nested in Dork’s sweaty massive package. Confused, Dork looked to Jason and then stepped back and over, turning to face the rioters. The slaver dropped to the ground, his head smashing into the dirt. He was still breathing, but his eyes were glassy.
Dork kicked his shorts away and stepped up on top of the fallen slaver and began jumping on his back. If one had the ability to look into the body of the slaver, despite looking relatively unscathed on the surface, they would find that several of the vertebra in the slaver’s back had been shattered into a billion pieces and spread out through his body. When Dork stepped up on him the slaver cried out in pain. Tears and snots poured out of his face. Something in the slaver’s mind was relieved when Dork leapt into the air, but the pain did not end. And then, Dork landed with all his weight. The slaver’s spinal cord snapped. It had survived the previous damage, but with all protection removed, it could only snap or rip out of place. This was not the end of the slaver’s pain. Dork repeatedly jumped, celebrating their victory.
The crowd of rioter watched the Orc, being hypnotized by Dork’s member swinging to and fro. Their violence slowly came to a halt, none of them believing what they were seeing. Jason breathed heavily, kneeling and bent over, his upper body supported by his arm, and his eyes gazing at the broken Orc Sword that laid in front of him. Rina ran up to him, preparing to heal Jason, but before she could, he grabbed hold of her, wrapping his arms around her, a hand clasping over her eyes, “Don’t look!” Then looking to Dork and tossed a rock at him to get his attention, “Dork, put your shorts back on”
Dork froze mid jump and looked to Jason, then looked down. He then looked to the crowd of people, gave a look of deep contemplation for a half a beat, and then stepped back, off the slaver. The crowd was thankful that someone had put a stop to the grotesque show of the Orc smashing the slaver into a bloodier, but oddly still pristine, mess and having the repugnant orchood of Dork on full display for all to see, swinging freely without a care in the world. Dork saw that his shorts were beneath the slaver. He pulled back his leg before launching it forward into the slaver’s side, kicking the remains of the still living, but now crippled, fat, old, cat off of his shorts. The people in front of the fat cat carcass’ path moved aside to let him tumble into the crowd across a the rough and rocky ground. He then bent down to grab his shorts, stood, looked at the crowd, and decided that the crowd would like for him to stop showing himself as soon as possible. He turned around so that his back was to the crowd and bent over once more, mooning the entire crowd with his scaley green butt. He pulled his shorts up, tied off the rope to hold them up before turning back to face the crowd. The color had gone out of many of their faces. They were horrified with what they had scene. Some were even gagging and on the verge of throwing up. Dork shrugged and walked off as if nothing had happened. He felt that the danger was over now that Rina was with Jason and the crowd had their anger diffused with the horrors that lay between the cheeks of his backside.

Meanwhile, the damage that had been done to the cage had been opened up enough to allow a few of the slaves to squeeze through the bars. Several had escaped and gathered around Jason and Rina. One saw that the slaver had fallen on the ground in the fight. He never had it secured since he was always using it and there wasn’t a strong likelihood that he’d face any problem so there was never a need to make sure that he wouldn’t drop the key. Even when one considered the value of the slaves, it wasn’t easy to run away with a slave. Even if you freed them the guards would quickly have recaptured them and most people would look down on you afterwards as criminal so it would be harder to live life. The slave that had found the key went to the other cages and open each of them one after another, increasing the number surrounding Jason and Rina and standing in front of the crowd.
The crowd began feeling nervous. The humans and aliens had come together in hatred against each other, but now their discomfort began unifying them. The aliens had always treated the Thesin as slaves in living memory. It was partially because the Thesin were physically strong, but they all knew that the Thesin had become slaves because they were extremely docile when their kind were added to the population of Debris. Despite this, it was quickly learned that from time to time there would be a Thesin that was separated from their kind and raised in isolation away from the others who would grow up to be extremely aggressive and violent. Thoughts that over time these Thesin had become less docile crept into the minds of the aliens. The humans, on the other hand, didn’t know quite why the Thesin had been kept in cages. They had other things to worry about and assumed that they were likely violent criminals. It didn’t cross their minds that aliens would keep slaves. They had not gotten over their understanding about what aliens were like. “Sure, they were scary and oppressive, but they were still an advanced civilization and surely, we just misunderstood them,” most of humans had thought. All of this was only further reinforced by a deep abiding instinct to fear and hate reptilian beings. Everything in their being was telling them that the Thesin were something to be worried about.
It was only then that another thought started making itself known amongst the aliens crowd. They were between a large and possibly aggressive group of Thesin slaves and another large angry group of Humans that had only minutes before been in a vicious conflict with. If it weren’t for the fact that the Humans had been reduced to a state where they were being controlled more by their instincts and emotions than their rationality they’d have come to a similar conclusion. Instead, the little voice in the back of their minds were telling them that the little girl was now in even worse danger now that she had been before. They were just more aliens, out to mistreated Humans. She was now surrounded by even more aliens that had to be taken care of to ensure her safety.
Jason let go Rina as they were surrounded by Thesin. He slowly got to his feet, moving Rina behind him defensively. Forming the silver ARMS Sword and placed it just behind the other Sword ARMS device, activating it. His hand went to its hilt, but was unsure of what to come which left him unable to take an action that he could be certain of.
