《Death's Heir》Chapter 37 : Brewing (2)

"Sister...."
Although Kyles voice still sounded weak it still sounds a lot better than it did when he just arrived.
His skin also didn't look as pale as it did before.
"I'm here brother"
Ellaena had been resting on the side of the bed, the moment she heard her brothers voice her quickly got up and grabbed onto her brother's hand.
The Doctor came and went over and hour ago, since he couldn’t stop the bleeding or heal the wound, all he just seal up the nerves blood vessels. He also fixed up the knife wound on his stomach.
"They attacked us in the middle of the night.....we were caught unprepared. It was a group of God level soldiers, I barely ma....."
The moment he opened his mouth he started lying without even batting an eyelid, but wouldn't you do the same thing if you lost an arm to someone weaker than you?
"It's okay brother you don't have to speak anymore I understand, rest a little once your feeling better we will go to the king, Adidja won't be allowed to just do whatever he wants"
"No sister I want to go now, I refuse to bear this humiliation any longer"
Kyle was telling the truth on the entire journey back to Alliance he was seething with anger and his sister wasn't much better the moment she saw her brother she's been suppressing herself.
She wanted to go to the king the moment she saw him but suppressed it because of the condition he was in.
"Good, let's go now then.....Guards"
Not even a second delay a guard entered the room before he could greet her she issued an order.
"We're going to see the king, carry my brother"
Ellaena didn't give him the chance to acknowledge the order she just turned around and left the room.
..........
The king of Alliance was Rodney, a calm cold-blooded man.
Rodney could be described as a stereotypical manly-man, broad shoulder, bulging muscles, and a thick beard.

Right now he was in the middle of a meeting with six old men, they were all talking about topics ranging from wages to national defense.
"I'm sorry your majesty but the king has instructed that no one is allowed to enter while he's still in the meeting"
All the men in the meeting turned their attention to the door, Rodney wore a deep frown while all the other men look over curiously.
Finally, the door was pushed open by Ellaena who walked in with a guard following behind her with Kyle on his back.
The guard who was guarding the door quickly ran inside and kneeled down on the ground.
"Your majesty I'm sorry I-"
Rodney interrupted him calmly.
"It’s fine"
His voice was like a deep rumbling.
All the old men got up out of their seats and gave a deep bow.
All but one, the one who didn't bow ran over to Kyle who was on the guards back.
A man in his sixties who's features were about seventy to eighty percent similar to Kyle and Ellaena.
"Kyle what happened to you!?"
His voice was filled with concern.
He made a few attempts to touch Kyle but pulled back his hand every time halfway.
"I'm fine father just a few scratches"
Kyle forced a smile and tried to look strong when he faced his father.
"Like hell your fine! Look at you, where's your arm!?"
Before anyone else could speak Rodney who was still seated at the head of the table spoke with a deep frown.
"What do you want Ellaena"
Even though she was the queen there wasn't an ounce of respect that a man should have for his wife in his tone, it sounded more like a man talking down to a disobedient child.
Kyle's father, Kyle Sr. Quicky regained his senses and bowed to Rodney
"I'm sorry your majesty, I forgot where I was when I saw my sons condition"

Rodney completely ignored him and spoke to Ellaena and Kyle.
"Well?"
Ellaena was already used to Rodney treating her like this she'd already lost count of how many years its been happening but that didn't mean it didn't anger her.
Still, she couldn't show it because she was the begger here.
All she could do was swallow it and explain what her brother told her.
Rodney had absolutely no reaction to it at all.
"How do you know it was done by Gaza?"
Before Kyle could respond Ellaena spoke up slightly upset because Rodney didn't believe her brother.
"What do you mean by how does he know? Do you think he's a fool?"
Once again Rodney ignored her and stared at Kyle and so did everyone else in the room.
"Because Zhou was among them when we were fighting I ripped off the mask he was wearing."
With that everyone knew he was lying.
Ellaena knew because Kyle had said its was a group of God Level soliders yet now he was saying that Zhou was among, Zhou was a commander they all knew because he was the one who held the Gaza Fort.
Even If Rodney and the others Didn’t hear the story from Ellaena they wouldn’t have believed it because no one was send a Divine being to kill a God, That’s like giving a child a dull knife and tell him to kill an elephant.
The five men that were sitting around the table all knitted their brows, he was blatantly lying to them and the lie wasn't even that good.
His father and sister had no choice but to grit their teeth and stand beside him.
Rodney, who should’ve been the most upset didn't say anything, his face remained calm as if he wasn't the one who’d just been lied to.
"What happened to your arm?"
For the latter part of the conversation this is where is attention was focused, even though the aura was faith, he knew exactly what he was sensing.
Everyone in the room was shocked. Everyone and their dogs knew that Rodney was a petty man who didn't let things go so for someone to lie to him and he didn't do anything about it was a surprise.
Kyle was stunned he wasn't sure what he should say.
"Th...They cut it off"
"Where is it?"
"I'm n....not sure"
"Why haven't you recalled it?"
"I can't feel it at the moment I lost my connection with-"
At that exact moment felt his arm again.
...........
When Azreal separated from the others he went a good distance from the others.
He was sitting on top of a roof from where he was he could see the carriage so when they were about to leave he could see and catch up with them.
He wasn't really sure why he came all the way over here he'd already temporarily stopped thinking about the battle with Kyle because it was starting to give him a headache.
For some unknown reason, he took the severed hand out of his space ring and took the ring off that was on one of the fingers off.
He didn't want to just toss the arm away so he put it in his lap while he examined the ring.
He decided that he would try sending a few waves of Divine energy to try and see if it was just a normal symbolic ring or if there was more to it.
He didn't think his luck was that great but he still had to try but something happened in the middle of his probe that scared the shit out of him and made him freeze on the spot.
The arm that was on his lap started moving.
"What the hell!"
