(argus pov)

‘Aqua!! Me and charon are getting wet!’ the rain was stronger then what I predicted, we were floating, I was inside the cage and charon was on top sitting on the cage, while we were floating aqua was flying using the wings she manifested using water,

“I can stop the rain from hitting us, but I can’t do that because right now I’m concentrating on both my wings and the cage” I guess her limit was controlling two manifestations, but seriously though, why am I always wet when I’m getting carried away,

‘I thought you got stronger?’ the one who voice this statement was Charon, I guess he thought that gaining a human transformation is equivalent to having a huge amount of power,

I poked my head out from the cage, it was difficult because of my horns, but I got my head out, I looked at charon and from the looks of it he was coating his body with fire and making it warm, warm enough to vaporize the rain,

“I thought so myself, I did gain power, I felt that I gained new abilities, but right now this is all I could do in the meantime… ” she slowed down, when we crossed over the walls, I looked at the walls and saw that it looked really, how should I say this, really ‘OLD’,

the walls from the ‘south’ capital were mad out off bricks, yes stacks off bricks and on top of the layered bricks were big smooth stones, but the one thing I noticed that made it looked old, was that there was moss on some parts off the walls, there were vines dangling down from the stones and the gate was really worn out, like the outer parts were cracked and the metal gate was rusted, so rusted almost all of it looked brown,

I looked at aqua and from the looked off it, she looked really worried, ever since she gained a human face I am now able to see her expressions, because in the past when she was a slime I couldn’t read her expressions at all, the only time I did was when she would raise her tone indicating that she was mad,

But I was still curious, has into why in the hell she smacked master in the head!

‘So tell me aqua, why did you do that to master?’ I was talking in a monotone voice; I showed no expression in my voice,

“What are you talking about?” it looked like aqua was feigning ignorance, but I know that there’s something that aqua knows and she is hiding it,

‘Don’t play dumb, I know you didn’t panic and I know that this whole situation is related to the dungeon, so just spill it!’ it looked like aqua was going to tell me but was hesitant at first, I needed one last push so she could spill the info, I looked at charon and he noticed my glare, it looked like he got the message,

‘Tell!’ I seriously don’t know why charon doesn’t talk that much, he just say either one word or just one short sentence and it is really making me nuts, but it looked like it did the trick,

“Okay fine, the reason I think its related to the dungeons it’s that I can feel a huge amount of magical power, ever since I got my transformation and got out off the cave I got a tingling sensation beneath my skin, and that there was thick fog of magic in the forests air, I’m not sure myself but I can just feel it”

I see, ever since she got her evolution and transformation she was now able to feel the magical power, it’s almost like my jackalope trait, but the difference is that I can sense a magical power within a body,

‘But that does not explain the situation about why you hit masters head!’ we were landing and where we landed was in front of the forest, she waved her hands and the caged disappeared, she then stopped the rain from hitting us, while charon was drying my fur I looked at aqua,

“it’s because I felt a strong magical power surrounding fathers body, It was so thick, I was able to see it, it looked like a mixture of light pale blue and dark blue, when he was waking up I saw that the magical power was slowly going towards us, and I already knew what it was, it was a guardian soul”

I was shocked; a guardian soul is an animal soul that resides within a half breed’s body, if the magical power that strong was within the body then that means,

“Yes... it looked like the guardian soul was talking to father...”aqua noticed my expression and realized I figured it out, I’m also wondering though, how is she able to read my expressions,

Anyways this was shocking indeed, because guardian souls rarely show themselves to the normal souls which was the soul that is controlling the body and is also the personality that show self awareness to its surroundings,

‘So you’re telling me that the reason you made master unconscious was because you wanted him to talk more with the guardian soul?’ I guess if I knew about that I would have done the same thing, but to do it like that, master is really going to have a bad bruise,

“yes that is the reason I did that, I wanted father to know more about his guardian so that it could help him” I guess aqua does have a point, it might have helped master but I highly doubt that it will happen, because the guardian souls comes from the animal side of the parents and usually the guardian soul would have many personalities and might go on a rampage,

‘From the looks of it, it might be dangerous for master due to the guardian soul having many personalities; the normal soul might not make it’ I was more worried for master because he is a ram half breed and rams common personalities are rough and tough, all rams are males so it is the common trait they all share,

“It looks like you’re really knowledgeable about this Argus, I thought you were dumb in the start, anyway lets go…” I haven’t told her yet that I used to adventure with my team and found so many things, food, animals and the most important, information, we would do anything for information they might helped us in the wild,

But I am dumb I admit that, but I’m only dumb when I don’t know about new things, like the new term they used to measure how strong they were which was called ‘Level’ when master told that I leveled up, I thought he was joking, but when he said level up I noticed small differences in my fighting movement, like how fast I run and how much impact I did when I did an attack,

The only thing was that I may have gotten stronger, but I haven’t gotten skilled yet, yes I have strong moves and strength but in battle if you don’t have experiences, you die,

While I was thinking about my thoughts it looked like Charon and aqua went ahead of me, I looked around and saw that nobody was near me, I went inside the forest hoping to see them but I saw nothing,

‘Aqua!! Charon!!’ I ran straight and saw that nobody was here, I ran and ran until I tripped over a root from a tree and got mud all over my fur,

I hate this feeling, the feeling of being alone, I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it,

‘Where Are You!!!? ?’ I was starting to get scared, all I could hear was the rain hitting the trees above making a really painful sound to my ears, I heard small snarls and growls from afar,

*snap*

‘Who’s there!!?’ I turned around to see that the bush was rustling; I was scared that it might be a hound’s coming at me for revenge for making their legs meatless, I started making a lightning ball that was forming between my horns,

The bushes opened, I saw a black shadow with many legs, I got scared and shot it at the monster, and I closed my eyes hoping to hit it,

“Whoa that was a close one!” huh… I opened my eyes to see that it was,

‘Master!!’ I jumped to master crying, he opened his arms and I jumped into them snuggling into his embrace,

“Whoa... Easy there... Glad to see your safe” I looked up to see he was holding a blue umbrella that aqua left for him, but what I noticed was that he was smiling, “I was worried sick, where did you guys go?”

‘me, charon and aqua were going to find a dungeon but I got lost’ I said that in a flat monotone fast voice, then dug my face deeper into his embrace hoping that he won’t get mad, well he is covered in mud now because of me, and I also noticed that he was riding the spider,

“I know you guys want to be strong but you have to-” it sounded like he was going to give a sermon but he stopped midway, I looked up to see that he was staring at something, I turned my head to see his line of sight to know what he was looking at,

The only thing I saw was a grey deer, the same grey deer that I saw last time when we were walking, it looked so scary because he was looking at the three of us without blinking,

We continued staring when all of a sudden it jumped really fast towards us and was now facing face to face with master, it looked really scary now, I didn’t even had the courage to attack the deer, I mean it had really long horns that was branching out,

It then bowed its head and jumped back to where it came from, it then looked at us then walked slowly away,

“I think we should follow it!” just when the deer left and when I thought it was finally safe, master decided to follow it,

“Liana please follow the deer without it noticing us” it seems that the spider is now named liana, it was actually a she?, anyways I thought that it was weak considering it was born recently but I guess she was born skilled, after master said that we would follow it liana started moving, sometimes we would even walk on top of trees,

‘By the way master, how did you find me?’ I just recently lost both aqua and Charon, so I thought master would come later, at least after an hour or two, but that was because I thought master was unconscious and hungry,

“hmm… I got up ate and went to the forest, and I found you because you were near the entrance of the forest and practically heard you scream, well in my head at least” this was so embarrassing, first was that I was near the entrance! I thought I ran and ran until I could run no more, and to think that he heard me, ugh so embarrassing,

“it looks like we’re here” I was going to say to master, to forget about it but was stopped by what master said, I looked ahead of us, we were in front of a huge hole which i think is the entrance to the cave, I saw that the deer went inside this cave that was surrounded with ore, minerals and crystals, and the deer’s silhouette faded into darkness,

“Seems like I was right… this is the dungeon that we are looking for!” I was again shocked to see that we found it so easily, all because we followed a deer, a freaking scary ass deer that has staring issues,

“C’mon Argus, liana lets go in and find the other members of the guild, let’s go inside this crystal dungeon” after he said that with renewed vigor and enthusiasm we entered the dungeon infested with lots of clear crystals and ore.

Anyways it seems like Argus has become a little bit intelligent and also afraid, and also gets shocked a lot,

So the next chap will be the MC’s POV and the next will be either aqua or Charon, I still haven’t decide,
