"Ok, now that I have 158.4715122 LF, it's time to get even more slimes!"
"Wait, wait, Don't just get another slime yet! You need LF for more than just summoning. You also need it to level your crystal body, get skills from the skill tree and lots of other things too! LF is such a versatile energy source. It is needed for almost everything you can do. Except for the stuff that it's not needed for."
"Damn, the more that LF can do the harder the decision on how to spend it. Maby if I ever get to the point where I don't care about LF anymore I will be able to spend it willy-nilly, but I'm not there yet. Well, it's only been a few days after all. Long, boring days doing nothing but watching Jiggly Jiggly eat bugs, but still short nonetheless.
And you should have mentioned earlier that LF can be used for things other than just monsters..."
"I didn't? I didn't? I thought I did, well I meant to, but I forgot. Oh well, I told you now, so all's good. You go take a look at your skill tree while I play with Jiggly Jiggly and our new friend too. So much Jiggly jiggly now!"
"Sigh, I just hope you don't forget to tell me anything important before it's too late. But I guess I should take a look at my skill tree anyways."
Skill Tree: Tier 0 Anger: 100 LF Joy: 50 LF Sloth: 40 LF Hunger: 555 LF Treasure: 90 LF Luck: 1,000,000 LF Change: 10 LF Physical: 800 LF Evil: 666 LF Nature: 50 LF Energy: 100 LF Boredom: 70 LF Sight 2020: LF Ponder: 110 LF Enigma: 33 LF
"OK wow, over 1000 pages of skill trees. some are super cheap to unlock, and others are SUPER SUPER expensive to unlock. I have no idea what kind of tree each of them are either, their names are kinda ambiguous and or vague.

Hey Mimi, can you help shed some light on these weird ass skill trees?"
"Nope, Nope! I haven't much of a clue about them either. I just know that some are a lot better than others and the LF cost to unlock them doesn't necessarily show how good the tree is, it might or, it might not. You just have to kinda guess what each skill tree does by its name. You can also unlock as many as you want as long as you have the LF for it. Some of the trees have hundreds of unlocks, some only have 1 or 2."
"Hm, you said you didn't have a clue on them then you just went on for 2 min explaining them. Well, I might as well check out the [Change] skill tree since its only 10 LF."
{Congratulations you have unlocked the Change skill tree for 10 LF. You have started down the path of ever changing evolutions.} Change Tier 1 Easy Evolution 10 LF
Increases the chance your monsters discover a new common evolution by 1% Rare Evolution 50 LF
Increases the chance your monsters will discover a new rare evolution by 0.1 %.
"So I guess that the [Change] tree was an evolution tree. From the looks of it, there are more than one kind of evolution too common and rare, I wonder if that means there are even more kinds of evolutions. I will probably find out if I unlock some of these skills. I will test it out with [Easy Evolution since it's also only 10 LF."
Congratulations you have unlocked the [Easy Eveloution] Perk for 10 LF. Easy Evolution Tier 2 Easier Evolution: 50 LF
Increases the chance your monsters discover a new common evolution by 2%. Common skill: 150 LF

Increases the chance your common monsters will discover a new common skill by 0.1%.
"Interesting, tier 2 increases evolution chance more and also gives a chance for new skills on the monsters. It looks like these skill trees could be really good. But the % on some of them are really pitiful. Well, I guess if there are over 1000 pages of trees and each tree has several tiers to them they are bound to have some overlapping skills, and since I'm practically immortal I have time to check them all out eventually."
"Yes, Yes, I did it, Boya I caught another one of those speedy bastards! 1 whole LF is all mine!"
Congratulations your slime has discovered how to evolve into a Common monster called "Speket" for a cost of 5 LF Congratulations you have now unlocked Bug monsters for summoning. Speket 60 LF: A Grasshopper shaped monster about 15cm in size that Specialises in speed and evasion, but has low HP and damage. They like to attack in huge swarms in the wild.
"What! Already? I JUST unlocked the Easy Evolution skill."
"Lucky, Lucky! We got our first evolution! And I was the one who did it! Me, not you! Hehe, I'm the best and you're not. Praise me!"
"Ok, ok calm down, yes you are the best. I praise you for finding the first evolution. So how did you get that damn speedy bug anyways? We usually have so much trouble with them."
"Easy, Easy, I just used Jiggly Jiggly to scare one of them right into the hiding spot of the little one. I'm so smart! Let's get it to evolve right away, I want to see our new monster!"
"Not a problem, it only costs 5 LF to evolve it. I want to see what this new monster can do too."
You have begun the evolution process on one of your Slimes. Please wait this may take several minutes.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.

This is my first time writing publicly like this so I'd love to hear some comments and criticism.
