《The Author Villain》Prologue

Red blood slowly dripped out of the corner of my lips. But instead of any apparent pain that should have been on his face. Rather a smile of satisfaction bloomed on his face. Exhaling deeply, a croaky voice escaped from his mouth.
“Hah! Finally… Reid was dead… That despicable monster was dead.”
Rachel finally arrived on the scene. Looking at the devastated state of Kyle, tears streamed down her eyes. She ran forward to embrace her first love.
“Kyle….” She screamed running towards him.
Kyle looked up at his love. The only girl that could ever make his dead heart skip a beat. A smile instinctively on his face looking at her innocence.
‘I love her too much.’
Caressing her silky black hair Kyle said, “It's over. It's all finally come to an end.”
But deaf to his caring words Rachel continued whimpering tightly clutching his shirt.
“I-Idiot, I know. I was just s-scared.”
“It’s okay. Look, that scum is no longer here.”
But Rachel still continued to hug him. Instead of relaxing her hold became stronger. When suddenly-
“I love you!”
Rachel finally voiced out the thought that she had locked deep in her heart. Listening to the sudden declaration of love, Kyle’s eyes widened, unable to understand what had just happened. But soon he calmed down. His fingers wrapped under Rachel’s chin.
He slowly lifted her face up towards him. Embarrassed, Rachel’s eyes looked away fidgeting panickingly.
“Look at me.”
Rachel braved as slowly her eyes turned to look at the face of her love.
Kyle looked deep in her dark green eyes.
“I love you.”
Soon their lips met.
The two people that fate had fought so hard to separate finally met.

THE END
***
The beautiful journey had finally come to an end. I was satisfied with myself. It was a good story. A story worth telling. My first WN had finally come to an end.
“KEN! TAKE THE TRASH OUT!”
My mom yelled out of the backyard.
“TODAY IS KRISTY’S TURN!”
“She went out to Karen’s for her group project.”
‘That b*tch. Sure she’s busy with her “group project” with that bastard Finn.’
“OKAY! I’ll GO!”
With reluctance dripping out of my words, I made my way outside.
Whistling and flinging around the polythene bag, I stepped out of the house. Trying to test my aim, I threw the bag while about six feet away from the trash can and-
“A TWO POINTER!”
I celebrated with a huge fistpump.
I was really happy with myself today. First finishing my first novel and now a two pointer. I guess today was my lucky day. After formatting and editing a couple of times I could finally complete my first draft.
My seventeen years of struggle had finally come to fruition. Though, if you think about it, writing took me seven weeks. So, I guess you could say that it was more like seven weeks of struggle rather than seventeen years. Whatever.
I finally went back to my desk and started with the most frustrating part of writing a novel. Editing.
***
After nearly five hours of continuous effort, I was finally done with the first chapter.
Hah…
‘Becoming a writer is so… tiring.’
I needed a break. I got up from my desk and made my way to the refrigerator to take a sip from the heavenly chilled water.
Gulping down as my burning thirst was doused. Soft wind brushed against my skin. It felt good.
Huh? Wind? But shouldn’t all doors and windows be closed. I turned to find the back door left wide open.
‘Maybe mom forgot to close it.’
I shut the door. But as soon as the door clicked shut.
Clang!
Hard cold metal hit the back of my head. Soon, I found myself engulfed in a silent yet ominous darkness. I lost my consciousness. Or in better words…
I was Dead.
