After receiving his new found voice, Ten’s life begun to change as his sisters trained him. Day after the next, the sisters agreed to teach Tensei how to walk and talk correctly as anything goes. IKKI showed Ten how to correctly pronounce his speeches while speaking to someone. Haru and Aki did languages with him. Hiroko educated Ten in writing of course from a far distance. Ume did many alphabets along with Ten. Hayashi on the other hand did physical intense training which made Ten better at counting numbers and knowing how to focus his goal. It was hard for him but in a weird way he like it.

6 months later, Ten progresses well through training from his sisters eventually his voice had gotten better over time.

(Ten) 997... 998...999!

(Hayashi) COME ON! YOU CAN DO IT! NO PAIN!

(Ten) No...NO PAIN!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH 1000!!!!!!!

Ten falls to the fire but is saved by Hayashi. Hayashi smiles at Ten and slaps him on the back while he’s still breathing hard.

(Hayashi) Good job Ten, that’s a new record for you if I do say so myself.

Well looks like we’re done for today so gets some rest ... you earn it.

(Ten) HUFF...HUFF... yes master.

Hayashi stunned from the word as she respond back at restless Ten.

(Hayashi) what did you say?

(Ten)... yes!

(Hayashi) no the word after.

(Ten) m-master? Is that not allow?

Hayashi blushes in excitement as she bolts right at Ten, giving him a big smothering hug.

(Hayashi) You silly kid of course it’s allow!

(Ten)CAN’T ... CAN’T!! BREATH!!! MAS-!

Later that day, Ten goes off into the woods alone but would eventually meet up with Luca as a daily routine. Luca never has any intentions at all for spending time with Ten, possibly out of boredom. Ten would always have Luca beside him as a partner for training exercises. The training never bother Luca one bit except for his curiosity over Tensei. Afterward, they both decide to call it a day and head home but something still bothers Luca. Luca turns to Tensei and asks a simple question.

(Luca) Tensei ...what are you?

Ten looks at Luca confused of his question but still uses a straightforward answer.

(Ten) I’m...human. Why ask Luca?

(Luca) Curious... Because if what you’re saying is true then it makes me want to know more about your origin.

(Ten) What do you mean?

(Luca) I’m saying is, I met humans before and they never understood what I say. You either the first human that can understand me or you’re something else besides a human.

Ten couldn’t connect the concepts but eventually clicks inside his head. He still believe himself as a human being and nothing has change.

(Ten) Hm... I get what you mean Luca. But I’m a human maybe it’s the gift that Doc gave me to understand you.

(Luca) It’s possible. Well then, see you later my friend.

(Ten) Yeah, you too Luca.

Tensei got into his bed and started to wonder about himself. He kept remembering Luca’s question. He falls right to sleep after but is later awoken from the room next door. Ten quietly gets out of bed to see what was the noise coming from and it came inside Ume’s room. Ten sees Ume thrashing around on her bed as she mumbles something. He comes in without making a ruckus as he was worried about Ume. Ume grabs her hat tightly and mumbles to herself about someone as a tear went down her face. Tensei didn’t know what to do. All he could do is stay by her side until she wakes up. Ten sat next to Ume all night to see if she’s alright. Eventually Ten got sleepy as he continued to watch Ume. When heading toward his limit, Ten gets up and goes back into his room. Ume unconsciously takes Tensei’s hand as she mumbles again but this time it was clear for him to understand.

(Ume) M... mom.

Ten stunned as she was still asleep and for him not being able to go free. He decides to just sleep right next to Ume due to her not letting go of his hand. Moments later, Ten fast asleep and Ume not thrashing around anymore.

(MYSTERIOUS VOICE) TEN... TEN... I WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN...

[Something or ... someone called to me. For some odd reason, the voice sounded familiar but I can’t seem to remember.]

(Ten) Huh? Where am I? How did I get here... the last thing I remember is sleeping right next to Ume...

[I don’t know what it was that day but all I can remember was taking care of Ume... suddenly I end up somewhere else. My vision was still bury at the time but I didn’t recognize the area.]

Ten wonders around into an unknown place as he eventually reaches a town. The town was filled with people in a gloomy way. Ten tries to ask anyone for help to see where’s he at but couldn’t touch them. Everyone around Ten just passes through him like a shadow or ghost. They don’t seem to know he’s right there in front. Ten tried everything; screaming, yelling, touching, and so on. Nothing work as everything got darker afterward. Suddenly, someone bumped into Tensei as the person fell to the ground. Obviously, the person didn't touch Ten but still fall to the ground.

Ten offers help toward the fallen person but is immediately shocked to see a familiar face. He stops his hand then sees a woman who’s a splitting image of Ume but older.

(Ten) U-Ume?!

[Ever since Luca’s question... I too begin to have my self doubts of my humanity rather I’m an ordinary human or not.]
