After Reina ran out, i was curious to see how she'd handle it so me and Espiral just stayed on the roof and kept watching. Reina started out with the one at the front, and cut into his neck while not stopping and moving onto the next ones. She was fast and efficient, not staying on one person long enough for anyone to team up on her. She kept moving and cutting down whoever was in her way. She would even jump onto one and use that person to either avoid a hit or manuever to another person and kick them unconcious.

She kept that going until everyone was either dead or unconcious. It was interesting to see since she fought similar to how i would. If i didn't have access to my elements, i would probably move in a similar way. Though while i was thinking that, they started to look for whatever restriced their elements. Eventually, the bird girl found it and handed it over to Mina. Mina just looked at the blackish gray crystal with a look that said she had no clue what it was she was holding. I was interested in whatever that thing was, so i came down and decided to try to look at it.

They saw me coming over and decided to toss it over to me. I caught the weird crystal and placed it on the ground so i could get a good look at it. At first, i didn't know what i was looking at. But the more i looked at it, the more i felt like that i did know what it was, it was just that the knowledge was at the back of my mind somewhere. It was an annoying feeling, that i knew what it was but i just couldn't figure out just what it was.

(Mina) " Eclina? Do you know what it is? "

I didn't respond right away, since i was still trying to figure out what it was, but then it came to me. Though i've never seen them before, and i've only been thinking about the rift aspect, i had forgotten that there was a phase before a rift formed. This had to be a crystal from that phase. But from what i knew and had been told about, those crystals weren't supposed to restrict elements.

(Eclina) " Umm... I think this is supposed to be a crystal that the rifts make before they turn into rifts. But i don't think they were supposed to do this. They're supposed to do the opposite. "

And they were. That was the reason i didn't recognize it when i saw it. It was like seeing the ocean but full of fire instead of water. It was an ocean, but without the water, it would be hard to recognize it as one.

(Ava) " What are we going to do with it now? Do we keep it? "

(Endis) " Why wouldn't we keep it? This thing could end up being a lifesaver. "

(Mina) " He's right. We just have to figure out how to use it. "

(Endis) " If only we could ask the guy who- oh wait, we can't. "

(Reina) " I know the assassin isn't coming after me for killing someone important. "

(Endis) " This is this and that is that. "

(Eclina) " What does that mean? "

(Mina) " It just means these are different situations. "

(Eclina) " Ok. "

I never really heard that before, so i just took her word for it. Though while we were talking, i saw more people coming towards us. They weren't wearing the same outfits as the others were, so i was curious about who they were. Everyone else saw them too but they seemed about ready to attack, but then the man that came to the gate stopped them and moved to meet the people coming towards us. He said they were "his men" and that relaxed everyone else.

With him taking care of them, the others looked at each other and said something about a message, and then they started to head over to the mansion. I was curious so i asked Reina about it, and found out that auntie Ulderria had sent them a message. I didn't know what that was, so Reina had to explain it to me. It sort of reminded me of when i talked to mama and papa after i just changed and grew my tails, it was just a bit different.

With the explination done, they all looked for a good place to hear the message, and found a balcony where they could group up at. Me and Espiral didn't have to be too close so we were fine staying on the roof. We watched as they all gathered and set the crystal on the table. Then i saw a small version of auntie Ulderria appear on the table.

(Ulderria) " Hello, Reina and company. Currently, i'm unsure of where you are but i'm hoping you are nowhere near the Everstorm mountain. I've been informed that beasts in the vicinity of the Everstorm mountain are evacuating in droves. The territories in the immediate area have been swarmed by these hoards and some have ended up overrun. Currently, i am working with your father to broadcast this information to all of our territories, however we are unnsure how long it will take so we are forwarding this information to you in hopes you can successfully evacuate.

As of now, we are unsure of the cause, yet from what we've found out it seems this may be temorary. If you all find yourselves anywhere in the immediate area, you must evacuate and find shelter in a secure area. "

And that was it. After she said all of that, the crystal dimmed and the message ended. I hadn't thought about it, but now i realized i should have. The elders had probably made them all evacuate, but the beasts that weren't capable of thought had probably run away in fear. If they were too afraid, they would probably cause havoc as they ran. I knew the forest had a lot of intelligent beasts, but this was the Everstorm mountain. I had no idea how many wild beasts there were, and if it was as massive as i thought it was, then it would be a disaster for any species that was in their way.

(Mina) " We're safe where we are... But the people in the area's around the Everstorm... "

After Mina said that, everyone seemed to get quiet. I didn't know what they were thinking, but i felt like i had some kind of idea.

(Endis) " Hey cous, what are you thinking? "

(Reina) " You know what she's thinking, and you're going to go along with it even though your complaining. "

(Endis) " Tch. I know but let me actually complain first. "

I saw Reina give Endis some kind of look, and then just sigh right after. He eventually just looked away and rolled his eyes. Mina looked over at Reina and him, which Reina just smiled and nodded in response. Endis reluctantly nodded too. The bird girl and lizard man looked at each other and then back to Mina, nodding like Reina did. Me and Espiral didn't exactly know what was going on, so we just looked at the stituation with confused looks on our faces.

(Mina) " Are there no objections? "

No one objected, so Mina stood up and looked at all of them.

(Mina) " Ok. Endis, we need you to go get Orven's shield. Reina, go tell the captain we're leaving sooner then we thought. Ava and Orven, you two head to the guild and get as many supplies you can carry. I'll round up the staff so they know we're leaving. "

(Endis) " Oh c'mon... "

But despite him complaining, he already jumped from the balcony and started running. Reina did the same and just left her basilisk child with Mina. The bird girl and the lizard man had followed them, but the bird girl had flown off instead of jumping. All the basilisk children were left with Mina, and they trailed after her as she left the balcony and headed inside of the mansion. They were all gone, and it was just me and Espiral left. By now, we figured out what was going on, but i didn't know how to feel about it.

(Eclina) " Espiral... Are they going to be ok? "

(Espiral) " I don't know. But i think i see why you like them so much sis... I don't want them to be hurt either... "

It was nice to see that my plan worked... But it didn't get me to stop worrying about them. I hadn't seen them in a long time, and i didn't know how long it would be till i saw them again. I didn't even know if they'd be ok after preparing to go into a hord of beasts. I didn't know if there was anything i could do for them, but i wanted to do something. I had to think about something and eventually i figured it out. I remembered how Reina fought, and remembered how her weapons were close to claws.

I looked down at my own claws and started thinking how to use them to help the others. I was about to do it myself, but then i asked Espiral too. I may use air a lot, but Espiral was better at being precise and was more in tune with it then i was. So i asked Espiral to do it. He was confused about why, but i just said he would know soon. After they were cut off, i asked him to start trimming them the way Reina's claws looked. It took a bit of working and visualizing, but we did it. Now we just had to wait for them to come back. We went to the part of the roof facing the gate and sat there waiting for them. That didn't even take long, maybe twenty minutes at the most, and Reina and Endis were back.

(Endis) " I am never carrying this damn thing again! I don't know how he does it. "

(Reina) " You're just a wimp, of course you can't carry it. "

(Endis) " I saw you shaking! You only carried half that weight and you still struggled! If i'm a wimp what does that make you?! "

(Reina) " Ah, the sky looks nice today. "

(Endis) " Don't you change the topic on me! "

(Reina) " Whoa, those clouds are pretty. "

Mina just watched them as they kept going. The basilisk ended up slithering back over to Reina and climbed up to her shoulder. She kept pretending she didn't hear Endis until the bird girl and the lizard man came. The bird girl was holding some supplies and had some floating behind her while the lizard man had been carrying some crates stacked upon each other, and a few earthen crates trailing behind him. They grouped back with Mina and the lizar man grabbed his shield as the rest of them started to sort the stuff they brought. They had food, bandages, medicine and other things that people would need. They were pretty much as ready as they could be on such short notice.

(Mina) " Everyone ready? "

(Endis) " This is as ready as we'll ever be. "

(Mina) " Hmm... Then let's go. "

(Eclina) " This is bye for now, isn't it? "

I already knew the answer, but i couldn't help going up to them and asking. I was still sad and concerned but i still had to confirm and give my gifts.

(Reina) " Yeah. But we've gotta go. "

Reina came up to me and carassed my head as she confirmed what i already knew. I closed my eyes and just went over what little memories i made from our time together. I had a good time, and got Espiral to see why petting was good. I just wished we had more time. I eventually opened my eyes and just turned to Espiral. He saw that and started to fly over with my claws hovering innfront of him.

(Espiral) " Sis asked me to trim her claws... I didn't understand why, but now i do. "

They all looked at my former claws and then over to me. Reina seemed to be the most shocked since these were specifically for her.

(Eclina) " Your things are like claws, and i don't really use mine that much. They won't even take too long to grow back... So you can use them. "

She looked at her claw weapons and then over to my former claws, but then she seemed to be a bit confused.

(Eclina) " How do i put them on my Siellas? "

I already thought about that, so i looked over to Espiral again. We knew he could manipulate metal even if it wasn't his own, i wouldn't have thought of having him help if he couldn't. Now, it was time to let him work. To start, he stretched his wing out towards Reina, and she stretched out her claw weapons in response. When Espiral's wing touched them, the mmetal that made the claw portion of her weapon started to change as Espiral started to hollow them out.

The metal moved slowly and everything seemed to be working perfectly. Then we got to the point where there was enough room to start putting in my claws. He slowly started to slide them in and began to reinforce the metal. We knew my claws were tough, so we knew the metal would have to be reinforced before it could pierce them. When he was sure the metal was strong enough, he started shifting the metal into small spikes and then made them spin.

He started drilling them into my claws and didn't stop until they were in far enough. After he finished that, he started to reform the metal to cover up the claws and leave the points. And with that, he was done. Reina's weapons were now done. She looked at them and felt them for a bit until she just nodded.We looked at each other and she just gave me a hug as she thanked the both of us for the gift.

Reina and her party lined up together and faced me and Espiral. It was difficult to say anything else, so we all just looked at eachother and said goodbye. They turned around and started to leave, and i just got on Espiral's back. There wasn't anything special that happened or anything that stopped us from parting. We just left. I turned my head to look at their back and just saw them get smaller the further away we flew. I didn't know when the next time i would see them again would be, but i just had to make sure i wouldn't be forced to leave them whenever we met next.
