For a nine-year-old Jack's status was already looking pretty good. But Perseus still needed gold to form a guild. And he was running out of time, the main batch of players was already getting close to getting out of the beginner's village. If Perseus wanted to support Jason in the Belusain Kingdom he needed to have a dominant position in the player guilds. Currently, he had about 23 gold or 46% of the gold he needed. Perseus was sure that another giant rabbit was going to pop up out of nowhere. Perseus needed a way to earn money fast.
In Perseu's head the only option that he had was to just keep on grinding and hoping that somehow he would be able to reach the goals. Sadly he couldn't even use real-world money to buy anything worthwhile in the game as the players were still dealing with copper coins.
On the other hand, Perseus had in his hand an inventory gold worth a few thousand dollars. And the price would only increase as WOW got more and more popular.
So he needed a quick way to earn cash. Besides grinding, Perseus could gamble, but he didn't like the odds presented to him by Boops of winning. Perseus noticed that Jack was getting a bit uncomfortable while he was thinking and started some small talk.
"Jack tell me about yourself"

"Yes sir, I don't know who my parents were, and I don't have any family I was taken in by the Rippers ever since I can remember...
Perseus's plan was to let Jack talk about himself while he continued thinking in peace. But his attention was caught when Jack mentioned the Rippers.
"Jack tell me more about the Rippers."
"U-um Yes sir you see the Rippers are one of the dominant gangs in Herdita and they control the west side of the town including the ports."
"hmm the Rippers are rich because of the ports right?"
"yes, the tax that they get from the ports is astronomical."
"how much?"
"about 2000 gold a day"
"Okay what is needed to climb the ranks"
"respect and most importantly strength you can easily climb up the ranking by challenging your superior in combat, and if you beat them you take the position."
"will they care if, say you're really young but you're strong enough to take over"
"hmm I think it'll be fine, the current leader is rumored to be a little girl and with how things are going outside, yeah they wouldn't care as long as the kid was smart enough to rule."
Perseus's eyes shone for a brief moment he nodded in satisfaction and filled with the handle of his sword, He took 10 copper out of his bag and gave it Jack
"Go and get some food and provisions we're going to hunt for a much longer time then I thought"
"Yes Sir!" and excited Jack scurried back to the city his hands holding the coins like they were a precious item, which to the current him it was.
Usually, he would be scared of being robbed but now with his newfound strength and his knowledge of the alleyways he was 90% sure that he could evade them easily.

Perseus watched as Jack left, his speed was noticeable faster and his footsteps started to soften like they were padded. Perseus returned to the two trees that he had used to catch the giant rabbit earlier.
Something was different about the two trees. Mabey it was the light streaming down from the forest canopy or way the tree stood in the forest like it was the center of it. Even though he had killed a giant rabbit on it, it still looked holy and pure.
Perseus walked around the trees talking in every detail. The two trees were in the middle of a small clearing, bushes and grass were surrounding the trees. But only in the perimeter outside of the light, nothing was growing in the light except for a few flowers and the two trees. The barren floor on the ground where they light hit confused Perseus, he looked at the source of the light.
The entrance of the light was from the forest upper canopy. In other places in the forest light could only reach the bottom floor after having dodged countless leaves and other things blocking its way, but in here the trees and branches opened up in a perfect circle.
Perseus could see the trees close by that had an irregular crescent shape, instead of the normal round shape most trees had.
Perseus looked around a few more times even stomping his foot on the floor a few times to see if there were any traps. After taking photos via Boops and marking the place on his map (also via Boops) he leaned against one of the twin trees and started to think about his newest dilemma, how to train a person into a rouge as a swordsman.
Perseus held his head in his hands, he didn't know anything about daggers and being a rouge, the only things he did know about them were from some novels online which he thought weren't helpful.
Perseus thought and kept on thinking, eventually, he gave up and thought about asking Jason or Arjuna for help. He was happy that he had gotten such a talented kid as him but was still worried that he wouldn't be able to nurture his talent well. The only options so far were to get a strong NPC to train Jack or to by him skills, but in order to do that they Jack had to be a direct subordinate, or else, Perseus would have to directly teach him.
