We reached the archipelago and we have said our goodbyes. I let them leave quickly, there is no telling how badly I may have just screwed up the timeline. Though I did row a good portion of the way so just maybe they will be fine. On the other hand, Medusa has yet to wake up. I know I put her to sleep so she wouldn't age, but the effects should have worn off thanks to that mixture. I was getting worried about it. Though I had to press onwards, so I picked her up and continued walking towards the center of the island. It only took me a few hours to get to the center, and during that time medusa had shown signs of waking up. What will the effects be this time? I couldn't help but wonder to myself as I saw her face once more.

I simply smiled as she seemed to be trying to eat something. It was incredibly cute, especially with a face like hers. Eventually, I arrived at a good area. It was a little desolate, but it made up for it with its beauty. There was a large lake in the middle, and it was completely surrounded by forest. Nice place. I went over to the side of the lake and felt the water. It wasn't too cold but it wasn't too hot. Maybe she needs to take a dip. Besides, water is good for the skin. I then immediately began to take off her cloak and carried her along. With her in my arms, I began to walk into the water. It was an extremely refreshing feeling and I couldn't help but let my “hair” down and felt them touch the water. They all seemed to hiss in appreciation of feeling cool water once more. But enough about me, Medusa was starting to wake up.

Her eyes fluttered and slowly opened showing off her beautiful golden eyes. She stared into space for a minute with a blank expression, before immediately shooting up. She looked dead at me, stared at my snakes and my skin before she looked upon herself. Her slim but beautiful abs, her new skin color, and most shockingly her new tail.

*Medusa POV*

I opened my eyes and I saw a blue clear sky, shining like a jewel. Wasn't everything on fire? I casually thought before remembering the ending. I immediately shot up and saw a figure in front of me. Dark skin, red eyes blue hair with snakes running through it, and a twenty-foot tail that ran behind him. He seemed… familiar to me. As if I had known him my whole life. Though I know for certain that I don't know him, and I would certainly remember such a strange looking man. I immediately started to take in my new surroundings. I was in a lake, surrounded by forest. I then started to notice myself. I was in shock and awe at myself. My skin was a completely new color. I remember having chocolate like skin, something I took pride in. I also noticed that I was completely naked with all my body being shown off. I noticed that I couldn't see my stomach as well as I used to be able to. However, the stranges thing was that I didn't feel embarrassed like I would have on any other day. I felt pride at the fact that the man in front of me was staring at my body. Speaking of which, I now have a tail. A fucking TAIL. I was honestly too shocked to say anything but I soon began to touch my tail, trying to figure out what it was like to have one. When I lay my hand upon one of the scales, I felt it. My hand shot back at the feeling. It was so strange, to both feel such a thing and to feel the touch. I was not at all used to this. I could even feel my heart beat through my new tail. A steady thumping. So weird. I eventually opened my eyes and looked at the man again.

He had a small and soft smile on his lips, and he looked at my just like how my husband used to look at me and Robin. I froze. Robin! I guess some of my anxiety showed through my poker face as he spoke in a deep voice, “I know what troubles you Medusa, Robin is fine.” I let out a small breath I didn't realize I had held in when I realized what he called me. Medusa. Why did he call me that? I decided to ask him that very question, “Why did you call me that?” I couldn't keep myself from being curious. After all, it was both my best and worst trait. And it's what got me and all my friends killed. Though his response couldn't help but shock me, “Because that is your name. Medusa, You have been asleep for twenty years. Nico Olvia is dead. Things are changing, and they are changing faster than they can be stopped. The world is going to be reborn soon.” I froze up. Twenty years?! What happened to Robin!!? Though without asking he responded to me, “As I told you, she's fine. I wouldn't lie for no reason. Though I must admit, she had many hardships. It pains me to admit, I am unable to help her in any way. Hell if I did help her I may, in fact, hurt her. The same can be said for you.” I didn't understand. Why can't I see my daughter!? She's all I have left! He seemed to notice something as he ‘stepped’ forward and pulled me into his chest. It felt warm, secure, and had a strange smell to it. His chest reminded me of my home, back with my family. I couldn't help the tears that were about to come out, though he was able to with ease. “It's perfectly fine. Robin is doing great. She is just having to see the world for what it is and come out on the other side. I promise you, she is just becoming who she was always meant to be.” He looked directly at me, pulling me in front of him. His eyes glowed with conviction and bioluminescence and I felt something that I hadn't felt in years. The comfort of home. And with that feeling came another, Tears of joy.

*Oceanus POV*

I was watching as she became used to her new body and I almost choked when she freaked out about her tail. Shes too cute. Honestly, she might give me diabetes. I couldn't help but smile at my own joke as a flood of different emotions came to mind. I remember always crying over her death and I remember always feeling angry at Oda to make something different, to make robin’s and her life better. And most of all I remember slowly loving her character, for however short her time in the show was, she was great.

She was well aware of the World Government's hostility against Ohara and was conscious of the fact that searching for the Poneglyphs would be dangerous. Despite that, she set sail, wanting to let the world know the true history and the events that occurred during the Void Century, and endured the imprisonment without confessing, proving herself as a brave and determined woman.

She was also very attached to Robin, and the decision to leave hurt her very much. However, she did not lose hope and was willing to remain behind during the fire in the Tree of Knowledge in order to save the books, while sending Robin away with Saul, in order to give her daughter a chance to live to the fullest and to discover the true history and hand it down to others.

She was a great character and now, I have her before me. I couldn't help but tighten grip on her as I thought of others trying to take her from me. I must help her get stronger while getting stronger myself. I have someone to live for now. Though she did, however, notice the tightness as she started tapping on my chest. I then let go of her chest while keeping my hand intertwined with hers. She had curious eyes as to why I had suddenly started squeezing hard but all I could answer with was a wry smile. “Now then, I have something to tell you.” I watched as she slowly straightened her back and began to focus on me the utmost attention. She acted like this was something that if she missed, she would regret for the rest of her life. Though I just found her action cute. “I'm going to become a pirate medusa, and I want you to become my first mate,” I told her those few words with a lax expression on, but most people would notice that my eyes told a different story. “Alright, I will join you” My eyes to- Wait, what? I must have shown my confusion on my face because she giggled a little and responded, “I said, I will join you. You said it yourself, didn't you? That Robin is currently going through her phase? Well if that is true then I want to be able to watch over her while she does it. After all, I promised back then, didn't I? Nico Olvia is long dead. Only Medusa remains!”

I was honestly shocked at the conviction held behind that sentence. To people who don't know her, they would just assume that it was something normal for her to be able to do. Though I knew differently. I knew how much she loved Robin and I knew how hard it was for her to leave her behind while she went on her trip. So for her to say this, it must take incredible willpower. I wonder, how powerful would her haki be? I couldn't keep this small little bullet of thought from traversing my mind. I shook my head and I couldn't keep myself from pulling her back into my embrace. I actually ended pulling her too hard and inevitably knocked both of us down. She ended up in my embrace, her face just an inch away so I thought about it and basically said, ‘fuck it’. I moved forward ever so slightly and kissed her.

You might not be able to see/talk to Robin, but you want the strength to be able to save her if she gets in serious trouble right? Well in order to do that, we need to train. I will be helping you along the way and practicing with you. So tell me, are you ready?” I asked her even though I already knew what her response would be. And just like clockwork, she nodded her head to my question. Let the race begin. I grinned as I started explaining some things about this world to her.

“First things first, you need information on this world. I assume that you have some knowledge but let me refresh your memory seeing as though you've been asleep for a while. First things first. We are currently in the Grand Pirate era. Gold Roger died two years before Ohara was burned down and gold roger at the time of his execution said that anyone who can find his treasure, can have it. Next, devil fruits.

All Devil Fruit are categorized into three types/classes.

Paramecia - The most common of the three types, Paramecia-type Devil Fruits offer their users superhuman physical abilities or traits, such as shock wave generation and locking onto targets. Other Devil Fruits can alter features of the body such as a rubber physique or a body of blades, or the people, objects, and environment around the user, like levitating objects or turning people into toys. Finally, there are some users that can manipulate and generate some kinds of substances, such as wax and poison.

Zoan - The users of Zoan-type Devil Fruits gain the ability to transform into an animal (and acquire every trait affiliated with said animal). The user can also transform into a human-animal hybrid form or a twin-beast hybrid. Zoan Fruits can also be transferred into weapons, such as guns or swords. There are Zoan Devil Fruits based not only on common animals but also on prehistoric animals like dinosaurs and mythological creatures as well.

Logia - The rarest of the three Devil Fruit types, Logia-type Devil Fruits offer their users the ability to transform themselves into an element, whether it be solid elements like ice or sand, liquids like mud or syrup, gases like smoke and poison gas, energy like fire or lightning, or into a materialization of abstract concepts such as darkness. This can effectively make them intangible, making physical attacks harmlessly go through them, or allow them to be able to absorb the attack completely. They also gain every ability related to that element (such as in the case of sand where moisture can be absorbed or lightning where the user can travel through objects like electricity does) and gain the skill to disperse, control, and rejoin any part of their bodies while conscious and in control of their powers (including explosions, bullet wounds or cuts). Logia users can move every part of their transformed bodies while in element form."

Haki is separated into three categories, or "types". Each has levels of usage so that even two proficient users might not be of equal strength. Most people who can use Haki tend to have a type they are better at and as a result focus on that type. However, a person can improve their abilities with all the types of Haki, it just requires more work. Furthermore, at least two types of Haki can also be used simultaneously.

Observation Haki, which grants users a sixth sense of the world around them and limited precognitive abilities. Users can hone their skills to such a degree that they can achieve an advanced level that allows them to see a short period into the future.

Armament Haki, which allows the user to use their spirit as armor to defend against attacks or to make their own attacks more potent. Some users of armament use the Koka Technique over their entire body and\or weapons. Users can hone their skill to such a degree that they can achieve an advanced level that allows them to emit the armament a short distance without a medium. Furthermore, when clashing against another armament Haki user, the one with the lower level will feel the impact to a certain degree, ranging from swelling to physical changes.

Conquerors Haki, a rare type of Haki only one in a million people can use which grants the user the ability to overpower the will of others. This normally results in the victims being knocked unconscious. Users of this type of Haki are seemingly somehow ranked.

I honestly don't know what you will look like. there was a random chance for the ability. though I can guarantee that it will be something that belongs to the sea, most likely serpentine judging from your hair. 3. You possess rather high-speed regeneration. You might not get a limb back in hours but maybe in a few months or weeks if you eat enough. otherwise it might even take a year. Your regeneration will either take some time or it will burn off calories. That's why you can speed the process up if you eat a lot. 4. The final power that you now possess is me. You are my first mate, and you are someone I care deeply about. I will always come to save you if you need me. I will always be there, to be a shoulder for you to lean on. Always remember that.” I finished up explaining to her exactly how this world works she was blushing a little, but now is not the time for that.

“Let's get to work on you. The first thing that we need you to work on is your shapeshifting. The second thing is your strength. And after that, we can work on Haki. we have a few weeks here before we must move again and I would be happy if you could just learn how to shift to look slightly more human. Even if it's only gaining your legs back instead of slithering. I don't want people to discriminate against you. So, Medusa. Are you willing to become stronger at the price of pain?” Medusa looked at me and without a moment's hesitation nodded her head furiously. “Then let's get to work!” this will be a good start.
