Chapter 35
~ Meeting the Queen ~
SW/SW/SW
The fact that his GeaOnline avatar had changed didn't confuse Kail at all. Indeed this event came to a shock for him, but it lasted just mere seconds. He should've been screaming, trembling in fear, or shouting his anger—but he he didn't.
For some reason, he just couldn’t…
He crosses his armored arms over his chest, deep in thought.
Why he was no longer AceKivras?
Virus was something that came to mind. Once again, he couldn’t panic. Instead, he chuckled at his stupidity. It was his fault to begin with. He continued playing an online game that was obviously infected with viruses. He brought this upon himself.
He shifted his attention to the gauntleted hand. The nails were too long for his taste and he wondered if looking demon was one of the effects of a bugged game.
Out of curiosity, Kail moved them. He balled up his fist and gasped at the familiar sensation on his palm.
There were four small holes there, from where blood leaked out.
His composure didn’t waver a bit from the revelation. He put the other hand on his chin. Was GeaOnline this realistic? For as long as he could remember, pain hadn’t yet implemented at all.
But his palm was dripping blood.
Fresh, warm blood.
…and it hurt.
Hurt? Wasn't GeaOnline able to support realistic pain?
Ignoring the slight pain on his hand, Kail opened his Friend List menu. The window transformed itself into square-shaped one.
Friend list Private Message (PM) [6 new] Add Friends Block Friends
Hm? Six messages?
Kail tapped the PM sub-list. The UI changed to that of a mail provider inbox. There was this one eye-catching mail on the very top of the list.
From Title Date Your Beloved :3 Hey... One minute ago Elvaria Where are you? Yesterday Maria Guild War Yesterday TongsisQueeN We're hunting together!! Two days ago Maria Job Change... Two days ago Lord_DPS Hathor Three days ago
Ignoring the message, he tapped the message from Maria instead. ‘Job change’, the title alone was too irresistible. It was impossible not to open it.

…spend your perk point wisely this time…

Something popped in his veins. That imbecile magician and her big mouth…
Wait, there was something off about this message. It dated two days ago, Sunday, and based on the content, Kail concluded that two days ago was the day where he and Maria went to the Scylla Queen’s lair.
And Monday… he went to school early and saw Alisa. They chatted for a bit… ah, his memories were slowly slipping away that he had a hard time recalling what had happened.
All he could remember was the park, the pursuers, and those pipes…
Oh, there was a message from Tongsis. He read it with a smile. She was having fun with Elvaria, huh. They even had pictures attached.
Elvaria.
Suddenly the name triggered many unpleasant memories. The fact that Elvaria was Hilda soured his mood. Just looking at her name in his inbox maddened him. So mad that he deleted her message and blocked her account.
He read another message from Maria…

That was right. Guild War.
In exchange of Travonka membership, free beginner equipment, and EXP, he had promised to help in the next Guild War. Sadly with him looking like this, it would be unlikely that he’d go. He didn’t want to risk spreading the virus.
…all of a sudden Kail heard someone whispering inside his mind.
What if I don’t want to?
…I don’t have anything to do with Travonka.
…
…’honor the agreement’? Such thing does not exist in my dictionary.
Kail realized that it wasn’t someone. It was him all along! It was him who thought of something so low. Instead of feeling shameful, he chuckled. Just like what his status had displayed, his voice wasn’t normal. It was deep, growling, and rumbling.
What is ‘promise’? What is ‘honor’? I have neither.
…that is right. I have neither.
He deleted Maria’s messages. All of them. Scanning through his remaining messages, there was one that was out of ordinary. It wasn’t DPS’ message. Rather, the one that gained his full attention was located at the very top of the list, recently sent.
This message again...
Kail was tempted to delete it, but hesitated. Something at the back of his brain told him that this was an important message.

Really, who was this person called ‘Your Beloved’? It was kind of… creepy, considering that he was single (in-game). On top of that, what was with the emoticon? It annoyed him to no end, but he tapped the message nonetheless, driven by curiosity.

Wrong message. He closed it immediately.
Wait, was that…?
He opened it again and gave it a reread.
Kail made quite a scary grin and headed out. This woman, she was here! How stupid of her, sending a wrong message to the wrong person and now he knew that she was here in this place. How would he know? His guts told him.
How delightfully lucky… He couldn’t wait to torture her, relishing the thought of her skinless body. Ah, the delight… the screams… the pleads…
0000
This castle seemed to be never-ending. Countless doors and corridors had been explored, yet there was no sign of that succubus yet. Kail was beginning to get really, really impatient before he accidentally set his eyes on a set of stairs.
It was grand, decorated with jewels and intricate carving. Multiple soldiers were stationed near it.
His guts told him that she was up there…
Still in a belief that his armor granted him invisibility, Kail calmly ascended the stairs. Everything was deathly quiet. There was no single soul to be seen. It seemed that he was on the top floor.
He explored the place carefully, taking note on almost everything. After spending two hours getting lost and all, Kail was finally able to fill out the map. The top floor was a quite big place. Most of the rooms were huge, four times bigger than his room in the real world. The nice thing about the map was that everything was labeled automatically. As he was clueless to whose rooms on the top floor belonged to, most of the labels were read ‘room’.
There was this room that bigger than the rest, complete with bathing room, library, and anteroom. The size alone was bigger than the size of Kail’s house. Curious of whose room it was, Kail wasted no time and went there.
He opened it and was in the anteroom. Quietly opening a door to the other side, he was met by furniture one could find in a bedroom. A bed, a hearth, sofas, armchairs…
Strange smell permeated in the air, but he didn’t cover his nostrils. It was as if he was used to it. Was this some kind of magical incense? If he showed no reaction, did it mean that he was immune to it?
He straightened his posture. He wasn’t alone.
Kail dodged the sudden attack, made a swirl, and slammed whoever it was to the wall. He heard yelping, feminine voice and looked down to see her, the red haired succubus.
“…that hurts,” she whimpered, struggling to free her forehead from his grasp.
Up close, she was indeed a slut. She wore a kinky, indecent leather... suit (was that a suit? Or was it a leather belt? Kail couldn't tell) on her torso, leaving her breasts almost bare with just a slab of metal covering each nipple. Stomach below, she wore a long, furry skirt with a long slit in front that barely gave her any modesty and a pair of stockings. They accentuated her slim, supple legs. Her clothes were all black in color, in contrast to her pale skin.
“Ah! S-Stop it…!” the succubus begged when he pushed her head more forcefully.
Despite her indecent clothing, Kail felt nothing about her. It just made him all the more apathetic. Even if she spread her legs before him, he wouldn't even care.
Kail didn’t know what possessed him, but he released her. Just like that.
To his surprise, she threw something that resembled a ball at him. It exploded once it came in contact with his armor. It didn’t have any effect at all and they stood facing each other awkwardly. However, Kail soon regretted that he underestimated it.
…he felt… tired…
The last thing Kail saw was the succubus flashing a wicked grin at him.
