5 hour after the explosion - The palace

When the old servant took the prince to his niece, he found her hugging a maid leg while looking at the prince with crying eyes. The maid w as the nanny that took care of her since she was a baby, and over the years she had grown really attached to her, especially with a father that usually ignored her

"where is my daddy?"(niece)

why me..(prince)

"we don't know"(prince)Tried to dodge the question

"Where is my daddy?"(niece)asked again

"like I said, we don't know"(prince)dodge again

"WHERE IS MY DADDY?"(niece)Yelled

"we don.."(prince) But before he could finish, his niece started crying non-stop

And then the prince started to panic. He really didn't know what to do in a situation like this since he wasn't used to dealing with kids, but after putting his hand in her head to try to calm her, he chose to do a sh*ty thing in a sh*ty situation, he lied

"Lina, I am not sure about the rest of the family, but if someone could survive an explosion, that's your father, and you know how strong is your father, right?"(prince)

"-sniff- right"(lina)

"and you know that something so weak like a bomb isn't strong enough to kill him, right?"(prince)

"right"(lina)

"then I am sure that the only reason your father didn't show up yet is because he flew to the other side of the country with the explosion"(prince) Lied to save his a*s

"you sure?"(Lina) with hopeful eyes

"I am sure, so be a good girl and go back to your room, it is dangerous to be outside right now"(prince)

Lina gave him a nod while the nani made a quick bow and the two of them left

Finally, the prince was left alone, so after checking the servant wasn't near him, he went as fast as he could to his room so he could rest.At least, that was the idea, but as soon as he enters his room, he found his fiancé reading one of his books while sitting on a chair

"Good evening prince"(fiancé) with a tonne in the end

"ehh, hi Elena..."(prince)putting a hand behind his neck and laughing awkwardly

Years of knowing Elena told him that she wasn't in a particularly good mood, so for now he would try to be on the defensive while trying to do damage control(if possible)

"so good to see you, how are you doing?"(prince)

"Ohh, just peachy, I found out that all the royal was missing and probably dead after an explosion, and while I am worried sick, wondering if you are dead or alive, I found out that not only did you survive one of the most important events of the royal family for laziness, but that you went all over town WITH YOUR FACE ALL BLUE AND YOU DONT EVEN BOTHER TO TELL ME YOU WERE OK"(Elena) went from "calm" to really angry

"well, yu."(prince)tried to defend himself

"don't try to make excuses, it's already embarrassing enough to be engaged to the disappointment of the royal family, I don't want to be lied too"(Elena)

"sorr."(prince)failed to apologise

"don't bother, I am used to it so there is no point in apologising. Since I already confirmed that you are fine and said what I wanted to say I am leaving, goodbye"(Elena) Started walking to the door

"good-by..."(prince)

And before he could finish, Elena was already slamming the door

Completely drained after everything that happened that day, the prince fell asleep the moment he laid on his bed

1 day after the explosion - Prince room

The prince woke up the next day and realised he was completely famished. He washed his face and noticed that his face wasn't as blue as yesterday. In theory, it should have been gone by now, but at least it was going away so silver lining.

So he got dressed and headed to the dinner to eat breakfast.The prince pulled a chair and sat on it like always but it was after looking around the table that it hit him, his family was gone and he was the only one left...

"prince, are you okay?"(maid)said after seen his face

"yeah, please bring me something to eat"(prince)

"no problem prince"(maid)

The maid made a quick bow and left the dinner and soon after the maid came back with breakfast. The prince finished it without even knowing how it tasted like and return to his room.

The problem was that the prince didn't know what to do now. When he was younger he wished to become the king and tried really hard to become one, but after realising there was no way for him to beat any of his brothers and sisters no matter how much he tried, he accepted being normal and even enjoy it, since he was rich and free of any responsibility.

No, instead of fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming king, now he wanted to enjoy a carefree life without worry. Why, after years and years of being look down by his family, nobles and commoners for not being a monster like the rest of his family, should just go and become the king.

The prince made a choice, for now he would play along, but at the same time he would use all his resources to find the rest of his family. The six of them were monsters with all kind of different talents, even if the attack manage to kill one or two of them, it was impossible that all 6 are dead. And if all six were dead, well, he could always take a lot of gold from the treasury and run away.

Screw them all, it's too late to change my way of life(prince)

So first things first, he would go to the Magic university to see what he could learn about the explosion, and maybe a clue to finding his replacement.
