5 days after the explosion – Royal palace

After calming themself, the girls asked the prince if he knew who did it, and wh but the prince dismissed. He worried about a couple of stuff.

First, how did they make a hole in the wall, it’s not like it was an easy thing to do and according to the maid, it was already done when she got the stuff. That could only mean someone else made the hole but couldn’t get the stuff out so they hired the maid. And if the prince had to be honest, the first suspect was his brother Jorge.

Not only did he had a hole in the wall of his room, something extremely easy to do if it was him, the person that help him get away from the explosion was dead, and he did have the skills to do it(He was really good at sneaking into lady’s rooms). He also had connections, so he could hire those killers and find a way to contact the dead maid. But well, it’s not like it was impossible to enter his room and make a hole in the wall or kill the priestess if she help kidnap him or something so it wasn’t exactly a definitive proof of his guilt.

For now the prince was going to talk to his sister about all this and the chief of police to see if they found the maid body.

“Well, I am going to the magic university, do you want to come Lina?”(prince) looking at lina, and after seeing her node, the prince started to walk to the stables

He took a carriage, and Susan lina and the personal maid went inside with him. Aria and guard a took the rains and the carriage started to move

“I hear you go to the magic university almost every day since the explosion, can you tell me why?”(Susan)

“Sorry, it’s a secret that only the royal family can know, that's why I can only bring Lina with me into the university”(prince)

He was kind of lying but since it was a bad idea to show her sister to a lot of people and only royal family should know this, it was an ok lie in this case. Besides if something happen to the prince(something that looked more probable every day) It was better for Lina to know she had some family left.

The rest of the travel was quiet since the 3 girls weren’t the chatting tipe unlike the other 2 and the prince wasn’t in a talking mood. His mood didn’t improbe when he saw that the people at the street were glaring at the carriage, making all he hear about public opinion of him more real and worrisome.

If people started to throw eggs and tomatoes at his carriage, he would really need to make an escape route out of the capital. Well, at least he did have one made a few years ago just in case, so all he need was to polish it. The reason he had one made was simple, he had read too many books of royalty suddenly loosing his home in a coup or war or disaster, so having some secret stash of money and safe havens around the country as safety precautions was a good idea(he only have 2 but it was better than nothing)

At least he got to the university safely so he helped Lina get out of the carriage and told the rest to wait for him here. His two bodyguards and the maid protested but he assure them he would be safe inside and this was something they couln’t know no matter how much they complained.

Lina follow him inside the university and down the stairs to the “Staff only” door a little afraid, but as soon as she enter inside and saw that her aunt Rebbeca was there, she started running and hug her leg before the prince could stop her.

I am surprise sis didnt freeze her or something(prince) remembering what happened when he tried to do that the other day

“You are alive!!”(Lina) hugging her aunt leg with all her strength

“Yeah….”(Rebbeca) not really knowing how to react

“Do you know if my father is alive?”(Lina)

“Sorry no, i only know he didn’t died at the explosion. I don’t know where he is now”(Rebbeca) surprisingly showing a sad face to Lina

“I am sure you are going to see him again”(prince)

“yeah…”(Lina) still with a sad face

A couple of seconds passed without anyone saying anything until rebbeca lift her niece, put her in the couch and hand her some snacks from the freezer

While the snacks were distracting lina, Rebbeca got close to the prince with a murderous glare

F*ck, why so much difference in treatment(prince) cursing his life and the gods

“I thougt I told you not to bring anyone to the lab and what would I do if you do it”(Rebbeca)

“Shh, what if she hear you saying that, he would get sad again”(prince)

“Don’t worry, I put a sound barrier around her and the snack should keep her occupied until I teach you a leson”(Rebbeca) with a murderous glare

“Wait wait, I have important information about your stuff”(Prince) trying to protect his face

“Fine, talk now and I may spare your life”(Rebbeca)

The prince told her everything that guisu told him and the hole in her room

“Sh*t I never though of putting defenses or a trap in the walls, they only had the typical sound proof enchantments”(Rebbeca)

“If i make you feel better, at least it had being done by profecionals”(prince)

“Like I need cheering up from you…”(Rebbeca)

” With an attitude like that you will never find a boyfriend sis”(Prince) Tried to make a joke but was utterly shocked of what he saw after

He could see the rage all build up in his sister face and the Murderous eyes she was giving him, it looks like this time the prince manage to hit her in a really sore spot with the boyfriend thingy

seriously, with those anger problems and that horrible personality you will never find a boyfriend(prince) worried a little for his sister future

“Little brother I thing I will really Send you far far away this time, do you prefer a jungle a dessert or a dungeon?”(Rebbeca) Smiling at the prince while visibly showing her murderous rage

“How about my room in the palace?”(prince) almost begged

“NOT.AN.OPTION”(Rebecca) already starting her chant

The prince knew he was dead if he didn’t do something fast, so he chose the do something he was sure was going to regret later. He quickly grabbed some of his already re-stoked powder and before she could finish or even react, he throw it at her face, making her instantly fall sleep. Relieved that he got away with his head still attached to his shoulders, he promise himself to not visit his sis without backup next time

“What happen to rebbeca”(Lina) ask when she got close to the prince with a snack n her hand, it looked like the sound proof spell disappear

“She was really tired, she tried to stay awake but she stayed awake all night yesterday”(prince)lied

The prince grabbed her and took her to the couch. he really didn’t want to anger her more later.

“Let’s go, we don’t want to wake her up”(prince)

“Ok”(lina)

“And don’t tell anyone you saw her, no matter what, ok?”(prince)

“Why not?”(lina)

“It’s a long story, just promise me you won’t tell a soul, it’s important”(Prince)

“ok”(Lina)

“And if something happen to me, you go to her ok?”(prince)

“Will you disappear like daddy?”(Lina) with tearful eyes

“Nonononono, I told you I am more tenacious than a cockroach, nothing will happen to me. But If and is a big if something happen, go to her ok?”(prince)

“ok”(Lina)

To be honest, the prince didn’t care that much about telling everyone she was alive, since she was already mad with him, but to little was know about the enemy so it was best to keep as many ace in his sleeve as he could, they were really useful in situation like the one just now.

"miau"(cat?)

When they got outside of the university, a cat suddenly appeared and went near Lina. Lina couldn't help herself and started to stroke it, when the cat started to purr a face full of bliss could be seeing in Lina, making the prince guess with a 100% accuracy what word was coming next

"can we keep it"(lina) said the obvious question a 5 years old would make in that situation

The prince thought about refusing, like in 80% of those situations, but since he would be more of a bother to tell her no and she crying the rest of the way than saying yes and making the maid take care of it, he really didn't have a good reason to refuse. Besides the cat looked ok, it was kind of young and even if it was black, it's not like the prince was a superstitious man

"Fine, but take good care of it,I won't be responsible for it"(Prince)

The girl grabbed the cat with a delighted face and went to the carriage at full throttle like she was afraid he would change his mind if she stayed

Now that I think about it, the cat looks kind of familiar(prince) Trying to remember when he saw it

He thought he saw a similar cat a couple of times, but since it was probably his imagination, the prince just ignore it and started to think what he should do next
