6 days after the explosion – The palace

The prince was happily sleeping in his room when someone knocked on the door

“Sir wake up”(servant)

“WHY!!”(prince) asked really annoyed for the sudden wake up

“The detective arrive and wants to speak with you”(servant)

” Can’t he just question the staff and leave me alone??”(prince)

“She said it’s important”(servant)

She?(prince)

“Fine, give me a minute”(prince) got up and dressed with a little hope that at least she may be cute

“Lead the way”(Prince)after opening the door and finding his “favorite” buttler

He follow the servan to one of the private rooms of the palace and found a woman waiting for him. She looked young and had a nice body in prince opinion but since she was at least 23 and the prince wasn’t into older womans(they had at least an 8 year gap) he probably wouldn’t go the extra mile to impress her.

“Hi!I am prince Julian, you must be the detective I presume”(prince)closing the door behind and extending his hand for a hand shake

“Detective Rayle at your servise”(Detective) shaking the prince hand

“so, why did you call me?”(prince)

“well, I have being informed of the delicate situation this case involves, but since it’s a highly classified and important one, I want to make sure I have all the facts right and ask you some questions”(detective)

“Go ahead”(prince)

“Maria Stenfell was found dead in an alley naked and with her throat cut, her mother filed a missing complain and was found later when they checked the jona doe’s. Before a proper investigation of her dead even started, you show up and told the chief of police that you were looking for a girl with her throat cut that died recently and they told you about this girl, right?”(Detective)

“Right”(prince)

“You then told them that she worked at the palace and that you talked to a “guy” that saw her murder…”(Detective)

“Yes?”(prince) didn’t like the “guy” sound

“Can i talk to that “guy”, I have a couple of questions”(Detective)

“Sorry, he left town in fear of his life”(prince)

“Right… well he told you 3 bold guys killed her and stole her stuff?”(detective)

“nonono, 3 bold guys were there to grab the stuff she stole from the palace and one of them killed her after she handed the stuff”(Prince)

“Then she stole some thing, tried to sell it to them and they killed her to get it?”(detective)

“No, she had being hired by someone to steal every thing important from my sister room, hand it to a guard to get it outside and deliver the stuff to them”

“So you are saying they killed her to cover it up?”(Detective)

“No idea but it is a good guess”(prince)

“Well, lets just say all you said is true, what do you expect me to do”(Detective)

I get the feeling that she either don’t belive me or think I did it(prince) a little paranoid

“Lets stop the bullshit, I am not in the mood to play around, do you think I am lying or do you think I did it?”(prince)

“Calm down calm down, It just sound a little far-fetched and you are a teenage prince, not a detective. I was order by my superior to come and do whatever you think is necessary but don’t expect me to believe a tale that could have come from a book without any evidence to prove it”(Detective)

The prince almost went into a rampage, all that was happening was something that would go to the history books, of course it wouldn’t be strange that something like this to happen. Well, he did manage to call himself since people pissing him off was almost a daily occurrence thanks to being constantly treated like sh*t for not accomplishing their expectations.

“Fine, don’t believe me. It’s probably better that way since you are only supposed to know is how she died and that she worked here “(Prince) Trying to stay calm

“that was what I am going to do”(Detective)

He thought of showing the hole in the wall or Rebbeca’s room but she probably would think that he did it to make his story more believable. He could also say that it may had relation with the explosion, but she would said he was paranoid.

Well there was also the option that she thinks he killed her, so telling her more theory’s and useless prove wouldn’t work

“Ok, let’s go”(prince)made up his mind

“Uh?where?”(detective)

“To question the staff of course”(prince)

“You are coming?”(detective)

“Well, since you don’t believe a thing I said since I am not a detective, I can’t just leave without seeing of “such a great detective” in action,right?”(prince) trying to annoy her with a remarkable success

“Fine, just don’t get in the way”(Detective)

When they went outside the room, the prince found Susan waiting for him

“What are you doing?”(prince)

“Since you will be looking for a culprit in the palace, I thought it was best if I stayed near the detective if someone attack her since I am the only one that knows what she really is doing here”(Susan)

good idea(prince) surprised at her initiative

What she said make sence since anyone else wouldn’t be properly informed and wouldn’t be on guard if something happened. Besides, since he was also going, it made sense to have one of the bodyguards near him

“Ok let’s go”(prince)

The detective did a standard procedure, trying to find out how she behave at work, who were her friends, did she had any enemy’s or people she didn’t get along, what she normally did and what she did that day, who saw her in what moment, and who was and who wasn’t working that day. Some of the staff asked why the prince was there, but she told tem it was to make sure every one answer properly to help the investigation

After talking with a few of them They find out that she was in good terms with every one but wasn’t specially close with any one. She talked and chitchat a lot and got along with every one, but she wasn’t the type to go out with the rest of the maids since she said she needed the money for her family and couldn’t go out

Her job was cleaning, and one of her jobs was cleaning Jorge room. That day she cleaned Jorge room like usual and took a big garbage bag from there. It wasn’t a strange sigh since Prince Jorge Usually have “private party’s” in his room, and it was a mess after. Nobody pay particular attention to what she did with it.

Pity, if she had talked with one of the guards, we may had know who did she handed the bag(prince)

“see, I told you she stole stuff from my sister room”(prince) after they finish the questioning of some of the staff with a smug smile

“That only proves she dispose of a lot of garbage from your brother room like always”(Detective) dismissing it

“The two rooms are next to each other and there is a hole in within”(prince)

” Still not buying it, how did she got the stuff outside if she did it?”(Detective)

“I told you, a guard did it”(Prince)annoyed

“And how would a guard take a bag full of stuff outside the castle without being notice??”(Detective)

“I.don’t.know thats why I have you here “detective” “(prince)pointing at her

“Don’t get your hopes up, i can’t solve an imaginary case”(detective) shrugging

They keep interrogating the maids and butlers but got little else beside what they already knew.

In the proses they came across with Aria, but she didn’t follow the prince since it was pointless to have 2 bodyguards in the palace so she went to train in the training room and told them to look for her there if they need her. They also came across Lina and Elena, and the prince managed to convince Lina that a murder investigation wasn’t something 5 year old should see. Elena did stayed with them since she complained that every time he saw the prince, he was with a new girl and the prince didn’t want to anger her more.

When they finish with the maids and butlers, they started to question the guards. They didn’t know much more and it looked like that would be all they would get until they talked to one of the guards that worked near the garbage disposal.

“ah yes, I saw her with a big garbage bag that day. She said a few words to Julius and left the bag with the rest”(Guard)

“Julius?”(detective)

“The other guard I usually work with”(guard)

“Ah, where is he?”(detective)

“in his usual shift near the garbage disposal, I work 3 out of 5 days there and work 2 with him”(guard)

they left to look for Julius and see what he had to say. They found 2 guards there and didn’t know who was Julius so

“Which is julius”(Detective)

“That would be me ma’an”(julius) raised his hand

“We are looking into the death of the maid Maria Stenfell. We heard that you talked to her briefly the day of her dead when she came to take out the trash”(Detective)

“She is dead?how did it happen?”(Julius)turning a little pale

“Someone cut her throat and left her naked on the street”(detective) told the harsh truth

She usually wouldn’t give so much detail but he WAS acting suspicious, and telling him facts may cause a reaction, slip or even a confession if she was lucky.

“What did you talk about?”(detective)

“We never talk!”(Julius)

“i just told you someone saw you talking, what did you talk about”(Detective)

“We didn’t do anything!!!!”(Juius)panicking and looking around him

The Prince saw Susan move and start gathering mana but before she could do something, julius move at lighting speed(Something easily done with inner mana)punched her in the stomach and the chin which knock her out completely. The prince reacted by grabbing some of the powder he always carried in his pocket but before he could throw it, Julius went behind Elena and grabbed her by the neck.

"nobody moves"(Julius) said while taking a knife and pointing it to Elena heart

The prince detective and guard stood there trying to NOT do sudden movements that would alert Julius.

"Calm down, no need to panic"(detective)

"SHUT UP!!! let me think!"(Julius) screamed

They waited for him to say something but all they could hear was curses under his breath and that he was going to die

"Look, if you let her go, I promise I won't let any harm come to you"(prince)

"AN INCOMPETENT PIECE OF GARBAGE LIKE YOU CAN'T DO SH*T WITHPUT HIS FAMILY SO SHUT UP"(Julius)

If stares could kill, Julius was sure that he would be dead because the look the prince gave him was enough to make his blood run cold and awake from his panic state

"Let.her.go"(prince)

Julius could see now that he really screw up, the prince was deadly serious now and he knew he was dead if he didn't surrender or make a move soon.

He had 2 choices surrender or gamble

"She is yours"(Julius) said while stabbing her and running away with all his might

The prince managed to catch Elena and saw her bleed in his arms
