2 days after the explosion - Private Manor

Susan was summon in the afternoon to go to the duke residence for the first time since she went to Jorge room. She guessed that it was for either get a reward for her job, punishment or a new one (It was possible it was all 3 at the same time)

A Butler took her to a room and the duke was waiting for her there. He was sitting on a chair while drinking wine and with a gesture, he signal a chair for her to sit.

"Good evening father"(susan) didn't like to call this pig his father but he insisted

"Good evening Susan, happy to see you here today"(Duke) smiling at her

Well, at least it looks I didn't screw up the test(Susan)a little more relaxed

"Me too, thank you for inviting me"(Susan)

"I am glad to do it, after the exemplary work you did the other day you even surpassed my expectations. Not only did you carry out the work like I asked, no one saw you do it or even realised you were there. All the nobles on the party where delighted with you and even in the private party you went, they thought you went home and the only one that knew is missing right now. Even the guards took you as just one of Jorge girls"(Duke)

Susan kind of wanted to ask about Jorge missing part, since his timing was to perfect to be a coincidence, but she didn't dare to ask in case she got him angry at her. Curiosity wasn't worth the risk

"I was lucky, they all drank too much and I just took opportunity of it"(Susan)

"No need to be modest, you did your task and you did it perfectly, showing me your level of commitment to the family. That's why I have a new and more rewarding one for both of us. I expect a level of commitment even higher than before, and if you are lucky you may even get set for life after it"(Duke)

This made Susan a little exited, she may get the last task or even the reward of her efforts now

"Of course father, I will always do my best if it is for the family"(Susan) play the kiss a-s card

"Tomorrow I will introduce you to the prince Julian as his new body guard, I want to keep you safe while informing me of every thing he does"(Duke)

"Yes Father"(Susan) a little confused

She knew about the prince infamy like all the kingdom so he wondered for a second why he would need a body guard, why would the duke present one and why her but after thinking for a second she understood why. Not only was he the only one left in the royal family, he was in danger and he needed protection. Besides having someone telling the duke his every move would be useful for him

"Meet me here tomorrow and we will go see the prince together. I left some money for expenses and cloth for you to wear, make sure to have a completely different look than in the party so the guards don't recognise you"(Duke)

She say good bye while bowing and got out of the room. A maid handed her in a bag the cloth and money and she left the mansion. When she looked inside the bag in her home, she found cloth a magician would wear and 600 gold coins. She told her new job to her mother and she had being delighted at the news and reminding her that she can't fail no matter what. Her mother also told her that she would be delighted if she got a grand children from the prince(and the duke would be too probably)

Susan loved her mother (even if she nagged a lot) but she wasn't planning on following her foot steps if she could help it. She wanted to become great herself not her child, so she would do her work for the duke and get his approval, but as long as it wasn't explicitly require she wouldn't take that road

3 days after the explosion - The palace

She had being introduce to the prince the next day and after some negotiation, she became the prince as a body guard as long as she didn't annoy him. She was also introduce too his niece fiancé and other body guard, but she really didn't care much. Her impression of nobles wasn't great thanks to the university and even the party(since they acted like they were awesome when all they did was eat drink and f*ck)so when she heard she had to spend her time with 3 pampered girls the next day, she wasn't trilled, but thanks to years of practice of not showing her expressions, nobody notice.

4 days after the explosion - Street

She was shopping with the other girls. They were looking for cloth and accessories(and in the little girl case dolls) and talking a lot. They tried to talk to her too, but she always gave short and pretty basic answers so they give up. Susan spend most of her time trying to look for sales and bargains since didn't want to spend too much.

It was when they were walking on the street that she saw a guy she tought she recognised, the guy that save her from the rape and took all her money. She didn't know if she wanted to thank him or punch him, but before she could chose what to do,they passed each other.

Since she didn't want this opportunity to slip, she turned around and quickly grabbed his shoulder to try to make him turn and at least talk with him

"Excuse me sir"(susan)

When susan stopped and the other girls hear her talk but not near them, they also turn around and tried to see what was going on

"What is wrong susan"(aria) put her hand in her sword as a precaution

"I think I know this man so I wanted to ask some questions"(Susan) responded, with a look of anticipation on her face

But strangely, the guy didn't turn around

"Now that you mention, he looks familiar, I wonder why"(Elena)

"Why Isn't he turning around?"(Lina) and started to grab her personal maid a little worried

"Excuse lady but I have not interest on what you are selling"(Rescuer) while grabbing her hand and taking it off his shoulder without turning

As soon as he let go of her hand, he started to walk faster but without running yet, or it would end up in a chase

"Wait a second"(Susan) started to chase him, wondering why was he trying to escape

"Lets follow them, I got curious"(Lina)

The other 3 girls nodded and the 4 started to follow them(lina in her maid shoulders)

"Wait pease"(Susan)while running after him

"Sorry I am a busy person"(rescuer) He was practically running while completely ignoring Susan, making her a little mad

In the end, even in a heated chase that the other 3 girls helped, herrescuer got away, and with out a clue of who he was or why he was so adamant on getting away

"So why did you stop him before"(Elena) asked Susan when they gave up on the chase

"I think he was someone who helped me in the pass and screw me over at the same time"(Susan) gave an honest answer

"Really? I thought it was because he looked like the prince"(Elena)

"He does?are you sure? "(Susan)Trying to picture the prince, she really didn't pay much attention to his looks

"It was just a felling, forget about it"(Elena) trying to change the subjects, she didn't want to look like she saw the prince every where she went

"Ok"(Susan) Still trying to remember if there was a resemblance

They all returned to the castle after shopping a little more and found out the prince was missing when they arrived. It seems they searched all over the castle and couldn't find him. She helped with the search reluctantly but in the end Elena told the staff that she found him drunk in one of the secret passage and he was now sleeping in his room.

What a pain in the a*s, at least tell someone if you are going to disappear for a couple of hours(Susan) complained inside, but she didn't have a bad time that day

5 days after the explosion - The palace

She had breakfast with everybody and they were discussing what they did the day before. She remember what Elena said about looking similar and she had to admit they had some similarities, she didn't manage to see his face in detail but the hair and body build was similar. Still, his hair and body build was relative common and it didn't make sence that the guy that help her 2 years ago would be the prince, why would the prince be in that part of town and why dress like a magician.

In the end she dismissed the thought and keep eating her breakfast happily(It was really good) when the prince started to talk about Rebbecas room and something about checking out some current or something.

"Why waste our time searching for something pointless in an empty room?"(Susan) Really nervous that they might find the hole

"why not? something you don't like?"(prince)Insisted

"Well...."what do i sayyyyyyyy(susan)

This got the attention of all the girls, since they almost never saw her react to something

"come on tell us tell us"(Lina) gave her puppy eyes

"yeah tell us"(Aria) made the same puppy face

"I don't want to say it"(susan) trying to buy time

"pleaseeeee"(lina)With begging eyes

"pretty pleaseeeeeee"(Aria)joining Lina in the begging

sh*t sh*t shi*t(Susan)thinking at full capacity how to get out of this one

"I am afraid of ghosts"(Susan)said the first good reason she could think

"EHH!!!!"(shouts x6)

ghost? really? good job mind(susan) cursed her stupidity

"Rebbeca was famous for her strange experiments, I am sure if there is a ghost in this Palace, it is there, and who knows what kind of traps are there?"(Susan) glad that at least could make up a good follow up

"IIII am suhuure theere arre no ggghost there, rright?"(Aria) Tattering her teeth while looking at the prince

"mmm, Susan has a point, why don't you check Aria, look for every inch of the room"(prince)smiling a little

"WHYYY ME!!!!"(Aria)

"You are the knight, It's your duty to protect the citizens from any danger, including the supernatural"(prince)

"Please, can't someone else do it?"(aria)

"sor.."(prince)"I will do it"(Susan) cut the prince off before he finish

If she played her cards right, she could make it look like she searched all the room while forgetting to check the part with the hole

"uh, weren't you afraid?"(prince)

"I must conquer my fears, so I want to take this chance to face them"(Susan)

"Fine, but make sure to check the wall and be careful of the traps and you aria protect Lina, she looks scare enough with all that ghost story's"(Prince)

The prince stayed to talk to Elena, so she went with the maid lina and aria to Rebbeca's room. The 3 of them stayed outside afraid of the ghost so she went inside and moved all the furniture except for the wardrobe. She stayed a few minutes inside to make it look like she searched throughly and went outside and told them she didn't find anything inside.

After a few minutes the prince came with Elena and asked how the search went. She told him she didn't foun anything inside and he asked what a bout the wardrobe. She almost panic but managed to say an excuse but strangely the prince didn't give up on the search and moved the wardrobe. Not only did he move it and found the hole, he open it and told every one it was to steal the things in Rebbeca's room(something even she didn't know).

Susan tried to find out what he knew but he played dumb and instead of telling someone in the staff to start an investigation he told every one he was going to the magic university.

Except for Elena, they all went to the university and on the way, Susan tried to find out why the prince expended so much time there(something the duke told her to found out) but he dismissed that question too

Strange, he is more secretive than I though he would be(Susan) a little annoyed that it was hard to get information out of him

In the end she waited inside the carriage with the maid while Aria stayed outside with the guard. When they got out Lina grabbed a cat and took it inside, and even Susan couldn't help herself and stroked the cat

In the end, they went to the police HQ and Susan with the prince went inside while the others went to the vet for the new cat. And she was really lucky she was there, since she found out really surprising things

The prince went there to find a dead girl with her throat cut, and Susan didn't understand why. Well at least she didn't until she found out that not only he somehow talk with the guy that saw her getting killed, this girl was the one that used the hole she made and end up dead because of it.

She didn't know how did she manage to not completely flip out after that. Not only that girl was dead thanks to what she did, what if she was next?

In the end she went in auto pilot until they arrived to the palace(thanks to her constant poker face, no one notice) but woke up when she saw the duke was waiting for her in the palace

She follow him to a room and closed the door after going inside with him but waited for him to start talking

"I heard that the prince was quite busy today, I want you to tell me every thing he did"(Duke)

Susan had being surprised at his directness and thought for a second what to do. In the end she told him everything he did today, from the wall to going to the morgue. She didn't know how could he possible got all that information, specially from a witness but she did start suspect a little about the rescuer she saw the day before. She didn't told him about her theory but she did tell him every thing else.

"Good good, you did a good job hearing all that information. Luckily I heard someone was going to investigate the palace and I manage to make sure it is a novice detective. Tomorrow I want you to follow the detective around and make sure noting comes out of the investigation, if they find the guard or any other culprit kill it or let it escape, I will take care of the rest"(Duke)

"Yes father"(Susan)with a hundred questions and problems in her head

Will she get taken care off later, was his father a traitor to the country, how far must she go until she had done enough for him and how will she end up after all this. She knew that it wasn't going to be easy since the beginning, but she never expected this and she knew it would only get worse
